Hi, I opened Firefox to continue with my work, just to get greeted with a 'start a new profile' page. All my profiles, saved data, history, add-ons and customization, were discconected/removed. Even on my phone it logged me out from my account- logging back in doesnt retrieve my history from my previous sessions on my desktop device.

I tried logging in to my account, checking if theres an 'old firefox' folder on my device or anything like that, but it did not retrieve any of my old data.

Just to clarify, I have not played around with my settings, left or deleted anything, so I really dont understand why I've just came back to nothing.

Was wondering why this happened, how do I know this won't happen in the future, and if, when possible, how can i get all my data back?

I was on my laptop W 11. Shut down opened up again and all my old firefox data was all gone. no pw no bookmarks no history. Shut down restarted etc. Some strange new profile window opened up, which is awful, showed up how do I get back the old one? Thank you

I read the existing articles and followed them, starting with "manage bookmarks". When I click on restore, there is a list of the last 15 backups by date. EVERY one of them results in an error message "unable to process the file".

Manually searching for bookmarks.html or json, resulted in nothing found at first. Then I discovered the path to the bookmarks folder were all hidden folders (after the 'user' folder). I got them to display in file explorer ('show hidden files' selected) and tried to manually select the JSON files that way, to restore bookmarks. That also did not work, resulting in the same message depicted below.

I turned on Firefox this morning and its all changed I have no bookmarks no menu and no search bar I hate this new system Why cant i go back to the previous version ???

It looks like my firefox profile got corrupted during a power outage is there a way to repair it or at the very least get back my opened tabs? I had lot of them and it will take a long time to find them all again...

What seems like ages ago Firefox stopped displaying bookmarks I addition it would not add new bookmarks nor restore the existing ones. I've gone through all of the corrective procedures listed on and off but nothing works. As a final attempt I deleted the program and reinstalled it. No change. It seems to me that perhaps a missing file from another program or system is missing. Maybe!

I have been using an alternate system for some time. When installed it had no problem finding all of the Firefox bookmarks and placed them on the menu bar as "Firefox Bookmarks". I have no issues with using them but all new ones are stored in the current browser. Thus the new ones do not go into the folders previously set up. I've avoided moving them manually to the new system due to the volume but I am ready to bite the bullet.

I prefer Firefox but it's just not working.

Can anyone save Firefox for me.

After a usual, recent automatic Firefox update my passwords and other data (bookmarks, history etc) are missing. The update took place around March 4 and on March 10 I used Smart Switch by Samsung to transfer and sinc my phone data on my pc. After this operation I noticed the missing data and all attempts for the various methods to restore data were unsuccessful. Please advice on how to restore passwords etc..

with this new version i lost everything i need to get back to an older version and get all my extentions my bookmarks back all my s desktop items that i had linked to firefox are gone i can no longer get face book or anything back to firefox book marks every thing i had with firefox

Hello, my password got reset by pour IT department all of my passwords are gone I do have a recovery key but they did not use it how do i get my passwords back where can i add the key code

My bookmarks have stopped working. When I went to Edit Bookmark I found they are all empty. I can create a new bookmark as usual, but I have over 300 bookmarks that no long function that are very important to my work. Is there any way I can possibly restore them, as my work depends on them?

Listen I have a profile in another partition in Mint and want to transfer my Bookmarks/profile etc to my new 22.3 install but far too complicated. I also have a previous Key which I no longer wish to use as it has deleted all 20 years worth of messages. Today, when I opened my firefox page, I was forced to create a profile whether I wanted one or not. I did so, and lost all my established bookmarks and other links to items I frequently use. How can I recover those?

So i restarted macbook and when i opened Firefox, my bookmarks were all gone. i read the text about how to restore them but it didnt work and i really need those bookmarks. also i cant add bookmarks, its just not working. hopefully you'll help me with my question, thabk you.

UNBELIEVABLE, I've never had this much trouble with a previous update. Your AUTOMATIC update closed all web pages that were open last session, offers no option to restore previous session, and took me 2 hours just to get bookmarks back. I had way too many pages open, but I have lost some important research for work that was in process. Multiple support options didn't work until I found one that would for bookmarks, but the history seems to be unretrievable. Not how i wanted to spend my morning.

Last night I had an operating system update. Before the OS update, I closed all open apps, including Firefox. In the past, the session I closed the previous evening was restored. But this morning, all my pinned tabs and other open tabs are gone, and Restore Previous Session does not appear as an option on the dropdown menu. Recently Closed Tabs is pretty random, not really helpful. Recently Closed Windows only shows one tab that I opened this morning (probably a mistake on my part). Is there any way for me to retrieve the session from yesterday?

I had around 3000 tabs open I closed the browser completely today. Normally when I reopen firefox all those tabs were appearing still. This time none of the tabs restored I can see tabs in history part namede 19.01.2026 although not all my tabs are there. When ever I try to reload them from the restore history part; firefox doesnt reply and doesnt take the command.
