Did the most recent automatic update break Firefox? What can I do to fix it? The program will not open. All I can see is the "Crash Reporter" error message. I understand this may be related to "settings" on my system. Which settings or changes are needed?
Tried to open Firefox and the usual "Updating to newest version" message came up. The browser opened momentarily to the New Version home page, but then the "Crash Reporter" error message came appeared and the program closed. Since then, each time I try to open it, only the "Crash Reporter" appears. The browser window never appears. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, but still only get the "Crash Reporter".
