I would like a setting to add more urls in the awesome bar, when i click the dropdown arrow or when i enter a word it displays 5 url (plus the useless search with xxxxx) and it's not enough, i would like a setting to modify it or at least put it back to 10. thank you

I see six items and a scroll bar to make more visible as set via browser.urlbar.maxRichResults

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Thank you for your answer but it does not solve my problem, i use NIGHTLY and some days ago the awesome bar changed, BEFORE it has more urls and now it has

search with google (uselesss) 5 urls (less than before and not enough) change search settings in the bottom (useless)

plus a lateral scrollbar

so before i could quick access to my fav. urls with one click and now for half of them i have to use the scroll bar which is a major time waster to say the least.

i would like to have the old settings back or at least a way to change that in the settings or do i have to look for an addon ?

thank you

AWESOME! The problem solved naturally (i did nothing, just let NIGHTLY update when it wants) and all was good for a few days

UNFORTUNATELY today it has happen again... back to square one.

HOW can i fix this?

And the latest update (2015/08/05) fixed it (again). Now crossing fingers it stays ;)

If you are in charge of that part of firefox nightly code and you happen to read this post, i very much would like an explaination of it. Particularly the parts where it changes between two releases and why it's not a setting that user can change in about:config.
