For the built-in VPN, I'm able to add websites to exclude either manually in the settings (Built-in VPN > Manage website settings) or from the webpage itself using the VPN icon. However, even when I save, if I close and re-open Firefox, the list is cleared and I have to re-add everything.

Is this normal or is there some other setting I'm missing?

When using Firefox 154.0.1 (MacOS) and VPN, my ISP provider seems to randomly change between my selected country (Canada) and current location (US).

Is this a known bug, or is there a setting that I need to tweak?

The Firefox built-in VPN option appeared for me about a week ago, maybe two; I don’t know whether it only just reached me in the rollout, or whether Firefox highlighted it because of the “more bandwidth” promotion. Either way, I activated it. But then, three days ago, I noticed that my browsing was no longer going through a VPN, and that the VPN settings had all disappeared from Firefox.

I’m in Australia. I’m signed into my Firefox account. I’ve tried signing out and back in; restarting this device; and doing as many steps from the Support article “Unable to find the built-in VPN in Firefox” as I could, given that it gives instructions for desktop Firefox, not Android. In particular, I removed one study—not the one named in the article, but a different one with “holdback” in the name (something like “long term holdback H1”).

If I'm using the built in VPN no pages will load, regardless of the location I pick. I did not have this issue previously, I've only first saw it the other day. No websites seem to work and as long as I have the VPN turned off everything works fine.

Firefox just automatically updated on my (old) Mac (to version 155) and the VPN has stopped working. I am no longer able to select France as a location which I have been able to do for weeks until now... What's going on?! How is this an improvement?

I'm wondering if there is a compatibility issue with the built-in Firefox VPN and the DoH settings. I have the DNS over HTTPS set to 'custom' with the default option of Cloudfare

With the VPN turned on 1.1.1.1/help shows that I am not connected or using DoH, but the second I turn the VPN off I am connected and using DoH. It seems that the Firefox VPN uses Fastly as its DNS and not the DoH settings I selcted.

Is there a way for the VPN+DoH to work together? Admittedly I'm very new to trying to be more secure/anonymous on the internet, but I was under the impression that having both is better than one or the other.

Am I missing something?

My VPN has. stopped working although it has reset as it does monthly, worked fine a week ago, Still have 50 gig and won't engage with server? any help appreciated....

I have tested this a couple dozen times over a few days . When I use the Proton VPN extension in Firefox it is broadcasting in plain text( sni= plain text ) .Using Firefox without the vpn extension broadcast is encrypted . When I use the Proton VPN app sni=encrypted every single time . Why ?

no matter what location I pick the built in VPN picks the fastest/closest location, it happens both on my desktop PC and laptop. restarting pc/browser, and turning vpn off n on dont work either

I have a problem. Whenever I use built-in VPN everything on my browser just slows up. Some apps don't even open properly. How to fix this problem? I thought it maybe one of locstions of VPN, but I tried many and nothing changed. Thnaks for Your help

Hello, apologies if I've chosen the wrong topic area but the options felt a little ambiguous for my issue.

I had a pop-up on my Firefox today inviting me to sign up for the free 50gb VPN thing, it brought me to the accounts.firefox.com page which says "Activate Firefox’s built-in VPN for extra privacy", I press the blue 'Continue' button and absolutely nothing happens. I tried disabling all my extensions just in case one of them is causing an issue, but no success there either.

Is this a known issue, in which case I'll try again later when it's sorted; or is there another way I can redeem the offer?

My Firefox browser shows the built-in icon (x VPN) in the upper right of the screen. If I click on the icon it starts the process that results in successfully logging into my mozilla account and the screen prints out the following: Next: Turn on VPN

But the screen shows no open panel! If I click on the (x VPN) again, the process starts over.

I have checked Settings > Privacy & Security and made sure that the entry "Allow Firefox to improve features, performance, and stability between updates" is checked. I have made sure that browser.ipProtection.enabled is set to true; browser.ipProtection.everOpenedPanel is set to false; and I see no entry for browser.ipProtection.openedPanelWithLocation.

I have signed out completely from the Mozilla account, restarted the browser, and logged back in to restart the process using (x VPN) but it still doesn't work.

How do I get the Firefox VPN toggle switch to turn it on?

Whenever I turn the free 50GN Firefox VPN on, regardless of the set VPN location, my connection immediately cuts. I've tried refreshing Firefox, raising and lowering my security and DNS over HTTPs settings, clearing DNS cache, and updating Firefox, but none of these attempts fixed it. I can tell its the VPN since everything will load again after I turn it off.

When I had my DNS over HTTPs set to default, it used to say I was connected to cloudflare, but after trying the VPN with it set to off or custom, it now says "DNS over HTTPs is off" when set to default. When I turned on the VPN while the default setting was on, it gave me an error message regarding cloudflare that I can't remember or recreate now that the "DNS over HTTPs is off" at all times. It will only say I'm using cloudflare on the custom setting.

I had a similar issue to this issue a couple months ago, but I resolved it by putting my security settings to default. This time, it seems to be a bit more complex than that.

At first FF free vpn used the server (Spain, France ..) that I selected Since a couple of days it always uses Singapore server, no matter what I select I have already cleared the cachet, turn off and on the vpn, restarted my laptop .. still the same Any solution?
