Mail filters for custom headers like List-Unsubscribe, Authentication-Results or Received-SPF copying messages from IMAP accounts to Local Folders do not work on the Yahoo! IMAP account. For example:

But filter3.jpg works well: name="Inbox" enabled="yes" type="17" action="Copy to folder" actionValue="mailbox://nobody@Local%20Folders/Inbox" condition="OR (subject,doesn't contain,t[k\6iq69pd+}'cr)" (copies all remaining messages from IMAP folders to Inbox on Local Folders)

(the snippets above are fragments of the msgFilterRules.dat file)

Filters1 and 2 work well on other IMAP accouns, like for example wp.pl. So this is about Yahoo or something is corrupted. My question is, what wrong is here ? And by the way - how to create filter copying all messages from IMAP to Local Folders ? Is better way then filter3 looking for random string in the subject or somewhere else ? Thank you.

I want to install Mozila Email on my Windows 10 Laptop and want not to use the default version 150 but version 142. The support still downloads version 150 when I choose verso 142. What can I do to correct this?

I have a new gmail account and I can't figure out how to get Thunderbird to show me messages that come in to that address. I changed some things trying to set up a second account but emails still don't arrive. I am using a desktop computer with the most recently updated Windows 11 and updated Thunderbird too. What am I missing?

If you turn on "Show Timezones" in the New Event window, then close it, and open a New Event window again, the time zones will be shown, but the option will not be checked in the settings, checking it now will hide it instead

I have been using Thunderbird only occasionally for backing up Google emails after which I delete the emails from Google. I am thinking of using Thunderbird permanently but there are things I'm not sure about.

1). Does Thunderbird automatically integrate Google Take Out mbox files automatically into one email list? When I start Thunderbird, I see files that I have uploaded to Thunderbird (on two occasions in the past and these were mbox files from Google Take Out) but these files are empty. (screenshot attached). When I select the "all mail" folder all of the mails saved since 2005 appear to be there.

2). Does Thunderbird save attachments or only the emails themselves?

I would be grateful for some help so that I can optimise my working with Thunderbird.

When I go to set a custom time for when an event's reminder will happen, it doesn't matter what date or time I put, when I click OK, it sets the date to be today, and the time to the next hour, if I use the date and time picker dropdown thing (clicking the arrow instead of typing it in), the date does set correctly, but the time is impossible to set even like that

Hi, I use my Thunderbird installation as a feed reader for RSS. Unfortunately, there are two feeds which aren't updated any more. I can't find an error. The feed is OK, I checked the XML file - the new entries are in the feed. The same feed works with a different feed reader. I already deleted the feed and added it again to Thunderbird. That didn't help. I don't know how to find the error. One of the not working RSS feeds is this one: https://mastodon.social/@islieb.rss

When I execute "right click -> Get Messages" on the feed, nothing happens. No error message... What can I do to find the error?

I'm running Fedora Linux 43, Workstation Edition; Thunderbird 140.10.2esr from Flathub. Everything's up to date.

I use Thunderbird and received a message about an update which I allowed. I went to another app and when I checked Thunderbird all of my data is gone. The only folder Mozilla Thunderbird folder reads: tobedeleted. It is empty. All of the data is gone. Is there a way to retrieve it? PD - [edited from public] @gmail.com. My desktop runs Windows 10 only.

I use the filters in Thunderbird a lot, so I am familiar with the setup. I need to automatically forward a message to my wife if it comes in from a specific email address. I cannot see a way to do this. Is it possible?

• I am able to flag emails in outlook to be read into Microsoft To Do
• I can tag emails in Thunderbird but then what?
• I have not seen an extension for this

I have MCI and i need to get tasks organized including todo items in email and calendar apps. Any help would be welcomed.

RE: How to turn OFF message preview when I single-click on message?

When in TB message list, and selecting a message for an operation by making a single-click on the message, the selected message opens. When using CNTL key to select several messages together for an operation, each of the messages opens an individual preview pane. I have searched TB's knowledgebase, but apparently no other users have this problem.

I've noticed that if I attach a file to an outgoing message then use ctrl+enter to send the message, Thunderbird also opens the attachment. How can I prevent it from doing the latter?

On one of my accounts I have an enabled filter for incoming messages consisting of a Tag + Copy + Delete (see screenshot) When a new message arrives, the filter is executed TWICE (see screenshot of the log) , the copied message arrives TWICE at the destination (once tagged, once NOT tagged). In the deleted folder of the source there is only one message.

What might be gong on ? Why is the filter executed twice ?

PS : I also tried Tag + Move instead of Tag + Copy + Delete

Okay, so how to be simple. I kept getting a pop-up from Comcast about a latest promotion and it wouldn't go away. I spoke to Comcast about their ridiculous pop-up promotion, it was coming through my Thunderbird email client. That may be taken care of. But in the meantime I tried to delete my main Thunderbird account, I must have done so and now I can't get it back! I've tried everything! I was using an IMAP account, and for my incoming I had imap.comcast.net. For my outgoing I had stmp.comcast.net and the ports were 993 and 587 I believe. Please don't quote me on this. So when I try to create a new email account using the same information I keep getting an "Authorization Error" each and every time!

So....since and while writing this email, the Comcast pop-up continues to pop up, and I still cannot reset my email account. Talk about a frustration level at this point! I would like to keep my Thunderbird email account minus the stupid Comcast pop-up. I just don't know what to do. Please help from anyone who can!

I am trying to re-install THUNDERBIRD I have done this several times before but Google is causing problems When I reenter my Name email address and password Thunderbird finds the email but then it takes me to google and I have to click allow but then it takes me back to the email install and then tells me it cannot find the Email address with the settings
