Thunderbird for Android Community Forum

I uploaded the Thunderbird Android App to my Galaxy S24 Mobile Phone and can't get it to show the various Folders (Inbox, etc), nor does it upload my Email Addresses.

Android app. TB version 20: can only see inbox. How do I find trash, spam, and other folders in my account. The app is the current version on Play Store. Tips say go to the appearance menu but I don't seem to have one. Please help. Thanks

I went out of the USA on May to Ecuador and Peru, and on the same day the Android version of Thunderbird stopped retrieving new email from the server. I have used Thunderbird pointed to the same server on Windows 11 and Android successfully for years. I thought it might be something to do with being out of the country, but now I'm back in the USA, and sync account on Android still does not retrieve new mail that has accumulated since May 4th. I've been following my email using a webmail access so I know there's lots of new mail. I've closed and reopened Thunderbird on the Android, and I've tried sync account with the webmail access closed. I have not yet tried Thunderbird on my windows 11 laptop because I'm still not home yet. Any suggestions welcomed, thank you for your help! I'm looking to make Gmail my principal email account, instead of using my ISP account. Gmail requires 0Auth2 authentication, as many will know.

I'm a Luddite and prefer to use POP3, for a number of reasons. Thunderbird works fine (with POP3 Gmail), on my computer. Unfortunately, 0Auth2 doesn't appear as an authentication option, for POP3, in Tbird for Android. So the TB android app forces IMAP on my tablet and phone.

Is there any way around this? Are there any plans to incorporate 0Auth2 authentication for POP3 within Tbird for Android?

I have just installed Thunderbird on my Android phone and using my desktop Thunderbird exported my email address to the Thunderbird mobile. This worked OK. Just for the record, this is my first time with Android version of the Thunderbird, and I can't find the inbox folder. Could you please guide me how to do it? Many thanks.

i still can't believe there is no way to print emails in your mobile app. I even downloaded the beta, but it also gave me no way to print an email. What's my money going to? I've seen many people ask for this its such a basic operation. I'm hoping you will get this, or I will have to change to another program

Hi I have a 100% standard installation of Thunderbird I usw a lot of local folders where I keep some mails. Suddenly all my folders disapeared. I had removed thunderbird and installed it again and suddenly the folders apeared again But next day when I started thunderbird the had disapeared again. What shall i do, it will be very tiring to delete and install thunderbird everey time I use it Regards Ole

Going through my inbox and deleting outdated emails, I accidentally deleted an email I received from PayPal today and can't find it anywhere. Not too hot on all things computer-related, so any help would be appreciated

Since v 12.n I cannot read content of folders originally created on my domains byThunderbird on my Linux laptop. The situation is the same for k9mail.

I need some advice to be able to read in mails stored in folders.

Hello! It seems like Thunderbird must have updated on my phone and somehow my Sent folder is now not only empty but no longer syncs with email account. It worked perfectly fine until just the other day and now I can't tell what needs to be changed in my settings since I don't know what caused the problem! :( I've tried resyncing, cache clearing and force stopping but I can't think of what else I should do. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

OK, I give up. As far as I know, my settings for TB for Android are the same as TB for Windows. However, I have 1300 emails in the Inbox in TB for Windows (and can search them), but only about 20-30 in TB for android (hopeless for a search). What am i doing wrong?

I've been a passionate user of (and advocate for) Thunderbird for more than 20 years now and was quite delighted when Thunderbird for Mobile was launched. At last I could use Thunderbird on my phone and tablet as well as my desktop! I've used Bluemail (the best of the rest in my view) on my mobile for some time and am currently comparing its performance side by side with Thunderbird for Mobile, having just installed the latter. In terms of fetching message I'm actually finding Bluemail much speedier at the moment and don't know why this is so. For example, I can often read incoming emails on Bluemail five minutes or more before they arrive via Thunderbird. So far as I know, I think I've tweaked all the necessary settings on Thunderbird but may be overlooking something. Can anybody suggest a way to speed up Thunderbird? I'm more than keen to keep on using it.

I've installed Thunderbird on my Pixel 9 Pro. I used my Linux Fedora Thunderbird to generate a QR code to get my Android Thunderbird established. Android Thunderbird is working ok but my contacts from the Linux Thunderbird did not come over and writing emails from there is difficult without my contacts. How do I port over the Linux Fedora Thunderbird contacts to my Android Thunderbird?
