Hello all, I regularly open up pop up windows to do my job, containing lots of column data. Until recently, the columns would squeeze down as small as they could - depending on data field and font size - meaning the bottom scroll bar was unnecessary. However, in last 1-2 weeks(?) the data columns seem happy to spread themselves out menaing I always have to scroll right to see the last few columns. Is there anything like a 'make the columns fit if they're capable of doing' command/shortcut? Thanks all.

Now, in the old Firefox, you used to be able to select "Email Link" to send a URL to someone by e-mail in your favorite e-mail client. I used to do that routinely, sending links via Thunderbird. I'm now using FF93.0, and all I see is "Share", which, when you point it to "Mail" it dumps you in Chrome. Now, in my FF prefs, I have specified Content Type->mailto->Use Thunderbird, so why it's dumping me in Chrome makes no sense.

How do I use Firefox to share a URL in Thunderbird like I used to be able to do?

I just went to use the Firefox browser and easily noticed a different color to the background. I don't like the dark gray that the browser seems to have defaulted to. This happened around noon on Jan 11 2022. How do I change back to the previous color?

I have two computers (say A and B). I want to move the entire Bookmark toolbar from A to a folder in the Bookmark toolbar on B. This would allow me to selectively move folders and bookmarks from the A Bookmark toolbar upload to the toolbar on B. So far I cannot get the Import or Restore to upload to a single empty folder on the B bookmark toolbar.

I have tried to upload previously exported Html and Json files from A to a specific empty folder on B's bookmark tool bar but either the file overwrites the entire toolbar on B or nothing appears to happen.

I thought that by selecting a folder in the "Manage Bookmark" dialog box that the subsequent upload of either the Html or Json files would all go there but it does not appear to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

There are two suggestions (or questions if I simply cannot find these): - as the default behaviour of the browser, I want to be able to only see websites from Europe. However, when I am trying to use it in firefox as my Start Page, it opens all of these in separate tabs and it does not work. Also as far as I understand using the link is not possible for new tabs.

The reason is simple. For example, when looking for cooking recipes, pages from the USA use strange units that cannot be understood and there is no point in translating each of these manually as all recipes are available in million of versions - it is just a matter of clicks. But I don't want to waste time each time on checking the websites one by one; if the cooking website is from Europe, the units will be of a standard and I don't have to worry. It is the same in relation to many products of any kind. European and American markets are completely different and reading description of something only to find out at the end that it is only available in the USA is waste of time.

- it should be possible in firefox to block some websites or portals by some button. I know that there is an add-on for this but it is only for 10 pages or so, so in reality it is not very useful. It also only works in the way that the page won't open when clicked on. However, it would be much better if unwanted portals or websites were simply removed from search results.

There are too many fake websites nowadays providing incorrect or misleading information. If it happens that I come across one of these, I want to be doing that only once - and block them forever.

I have searched for "How to share tabs between profiles" in firefox.

I was offered this option:

Share multiple tabs

   Visit the tabs tray by tapping the number next to the address bar, this number shows how many open tabs you have:
   Tap the three-dot menu button in the tabs tray.
   Select Share all tabs.
   The list of tabs to be shared will appear.

Visit the tabs tray - not very clear. by tapping the number next to the address bar - which number? I have more tabs that can fit across the screen and am not seeing any number/s.

Could someone help me with this please? I have a lot of migration to do.

How can I translate my website https://rhizmall.pk/ in Mozilla with different languages, like other browsers shown by right click on tools bar or on web page to translate in different languages?

I know this is an obscure question but it would save time typing it all in each time.

I would like to create a windows shortcut to launch the profile manager like so:

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe -profilemanager" - but it says "the name specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the filename and path are correct." It works fine without the -profilemanager part.

Maybe it would have to be a batch file I'm not sure.

I'm concerned about my browser history, saved passwords, bookmarks, etc. getting in the hands of someone with ill intent. I'm sending my laptop to Asurion to be repaired and want to get as much sensitive information off as possible. can firefox be backed up and then uninstalled, to be reinstalled later with all my settings? A while ago a new thing started happening with Firefox. Whenever I go to a login page, and the username and password fields are auto populated because Firefox has remembered them, the cursor is positioned at the end of the username. Directly beneath the cursor is what looks like a droplet, blue in colour. Clicking on it does nothing. Clicking anywhere else on the page makes the droplet disappear, as does bringing up another app and then coming back to Firefox. I am using version 93.0 64 bit on Windows 10. I can't do a screen shot of it as bringing up snip and sketch causes it to disappear.

I have two windows of Firefox 94 for Linux next to each other, each with its own user profile. It would be very handy if I could drag and drop tabs and items in the bookmarks toolbar from one profile into the other. Apparently this does not work out for me. Am I missing some tip/trick?

It is possible to transfer tabs by drag and drop when both windows belong to the same user. Handy. Obviously the two windows share the same bookmarks toolbar, so the point of transferring makes no sense for the bookmark toolbar.

If that cross-profile transfer is not possible, it is definitely a feature request. This would help greatly in merging piecemeal the bookmarks of two users. Say, to separate private and work bookmarks from time to time.

i/m using firefox Developer's latest edition and have tried repeatedly to remove bookmark toolbar favicons and cannot...i removed them from regular firefox but no luck with Developer edition

i have tried all the Chrome tricks i can find on the forum and other places but nothing is working...how do you remove bookmark toolbar favicons from Firefox Developer

On firefox before version 105 i can use parameter on about:config page

1. signon.showAutoCompleteOrigins = to hide the "From This Website" 2. signon.showAutoCompleteFooter = to hide the "View Saved Login" button

Now on firefox version 106 parameter number 1 doesn't work (doesn't hide "From This Website")

How can i hide "From This Website" ? is it a bug or is there any other way

Firefox updated to 89.0 today, and my newtabpage looks odd. The shortcuts now have really small previews, as shown in the attached image. How do I get them to be full size again (i.e. fill the box)? It was easier to tell them apart at a glance before the update, post update there's too much empty space. Is there something in about:config that controls this?
