Dear community, I have used firefox for years now and I had it synced with my email adressed. Today I wanted to login with a second profile (from my work) (I did this via about:profiles, adding a new profile) and when I logged back into my private email I had to change the password since I forgot. Suddenly ALL my user data was deleted, my passwords, my bookmarks, my history. It even shows in my profile that I just opend the account with that email adress now, today, even though I had my account for years. ALL my data is lost. PLEASE help! I am desperate. On one laptop right-clicking on a tab gives me a Send tab to device option and when I click on it I get a message that the tab was sent. But the tab doesn't arrive on the other laptop. 2. Though I'm using the same version of Firefox on both laptops, I can only find the send tab option on one laptop because the menus are different. And many of the instructions I see online describe items on the menu that just don't show up. I know that I was once -- I don't know how long ago -- able to send a tab from one laptop to another. Most of the instructions are about sending from a phone to a desktop or vice versa. I hope someone can help. Thank you.

Hello. I have been using Firefox as primary browser for long time. Today reinstall my firefox because youtube video not playing sound. But after fresh install and synced account but all my savings are gone. Passwords and bookmarks are missing. PLease help me to recover.

My Lenovo crashed we are getting ready to reinstall Windows and we have tried all the options to find the Hidden File in Notepad recovery. Our last step is to see if it will copy the drive and makeup a backup of the C drive and still keep the files. If not then I have lost my Lenovo bookmarks.

I am on my old HP Desktop and the bookmarks are older on that one as I have used the Lenovo for the last two years.

Both the Lenovo and the HP have the Sync option on. The last time the Lenovo was Synced was Feb 24 I think it was. I thought we could sync the Lenovo to the HP but that doesn't work. We have enough copies of the data from the HP and can reinstall those if need be.

We took FF off the computer and reinstalled like it was a new machine and was looking to see if we would sync with the Lenovo, but somehow it synced with some version and pulled up the Old HP info.

Questions: 1 - Is the anyway to find the file in the CMD Notepad version when you can't get a search or look for hidden files option. 2 - Is there any way to get the accounts to sync with the Lenovo if there is even a backup? 3 - Any other help or suggestions would be helpful!

I recently opened Firefox on my laptop and found only 10 of my saved passwords remained. I had a lot saved that I had been using the night prior to this on a different computer. I still have all of my bookmarks and addons saved, I’m just missing 95% of my saved logins? I have Firefox on 3 devices and it’s the same for all of them. What happened here and how can I restore them? I only have 2 profiles, mine and the default and I know there’s probably a backup of this saved in the profiles but I’m not sure how to restore it.

I signed up to Mozilla VPN but every time i try to sign in on my pc i get authentication error.

How do i sign in on my laptop and how do i turn it on in firefox?

I was using firefox for a while and i have to format my pc because of a problem and when i download it again i sync it something came back but not all of them my passwords mostly came back and all my extensitions also back but i have a lot of container and none of them came back and i sent a mail for you but it was Turkish and i get back replied and support guy said we are only taking message as a English and he said i translated your message and be sure you sync the right account and if is it the right account you can also. If you have another device that does have the data, then you can create a backup and manually restore it following the instructions in this article: that what he said but i dont have and ex data and i want to figure it out is it possible to take my cointainers exactly same because the most important reason of using firefox for me was containers.Have a good day.

I can log in to accounts.firefox.com on Edge no problem, which is how I am posting this.

I've tried reinstalling firefox, refreshing firefox, running firefox in safe/troubleshooting mode, but no luck.

My Subject pretty well says it. I'm trying to transfer by syncing my desktop Firefox with the Firefox 124 on a newly installed Kubuntu on a new laptop. I have all these functions synced ON. The recent history but not the long-term history, passwords (thank heavens), and all bookmarks got transferred, but not the open tabs/pages. I've done the desktop sync followed by the laptop sync a few times, still without the tabs' transferring. How do i get those transferred?

I use a public computer that resets itself every night. I want to login to my firefox account so I can receive all my settings, extensions, etc., when I login to sync.

However, when I login to sync, my default search provider remains as Google (the computer's default) and does not change to DuckDuckGo (the settings I previously had synced).

How do I set up sync so that when I login, it pulls all settings, etc., from the cloud, instead of keeping some that were configured locally?

My Firefox does not restore data automatically. I will recount everything as follows. Initially, my Firefox showed signs of lagging, so I deleted Firefox and reinstalled it (at this time my account was still logged in and syncing normally). After I successfully reinstalled Firefox, I forgot the password because I hadn’t logged into Firefox for a long time. After I reset the password and logged into Firefox to sync, and I clicked Sync now many times, it still did not sync and retrieve all the data I had earlier. Can someone help me! Many of my important documents have been lost!

I am a long-time user of Firefox and recently had to re-install the browser on my Laptop. I have the latest version of Firefox on both my Desktop and Laptop and have tried to sync my Desktop Settings (tabs, bookmarks, etc ) to my Laptop such that when I open Firefox on the Laptop it mirrors what I see on my Desktop, but to no avail.

i have lost everything from my sync after reinstalling windows and reconnecting to my firefox account, i keep pressing sync now and nothing happens, firefox is the only thing i used for saving my passwords and everything, this is a desperate cry for help

i had to rebuild my laptop computer and set up firefox on it, set up/turned on sync and the browser does NOT match the broswer srttings on the desktop where the sync comes from. bookmarked weblink icons only show up when a new tab is opened and vanish once a website is opened, icons for bookmarked weblinks on the bookmarks bar are generic wireframe globe-like-icons only, the custom firefox colour setup i struggled to create over the course of several weeks does not appear at all, nor does the dark theme. how then do i get this to -really- syc???

I had ~500 saved logins on Firefox prior to it updating to version 121.0 - now I have 15.

Firefox Lockwise app on iPhone still shows all my saved passwords.

How do I get these back and why have you deleted them?
