I recently installed the Firefox Multi Account Containers extension. I am wondering if tabs opened in "No Container" are in their own container. If I open youtube.com in a container called Google, it cannot read cookies from the Shopping container, or any other container, but can it read the cookies in "No Container"? I would like to use the "No Container" as my default container, but if information can be shared between "No Container" and other containers, then I'll have to recreate the Personal Container, and never use the "No Container" option.

How settings for privacy and security are supposed to work vs. how they work

1. I have ALL cookies blocked in all windows, through the CUSTOM option. Some websites defined in the Exception list as Blocked and some websites that I cannot recognize (and are not on the Exception list as Allowed or Allowed for session), still save cookies that I can see under Manage Data. The first two screen captures )on the left) show Google as blocked, but still saving cookies. Is this a feature or a bug?

2. I am using a website called athenahealth. It forced me to allow for session a bunch of domains and subdomains, including one that starts with 8752-2.

The last 2 screen captures show: - info in the Shield for cookies, where the subdomain starting w. 8752-2 is shown as blocked

- the list of exceptions that shows this same subdomain (starting w. 8752-2) as allowed for session.

How is the above possible? Is this the way this is meant to work?

3. Is there a way to copy out, export or at least print the list of websites under Exceptions? I am concerned that somehow they are deleted (I was reading that Refresh deletes them, maybe something else does that too) and it took me quite a lot of experimentation to figure out what is that I have to allow for websites that I need vs. what I can safely block, when blocking ALL doesn't do the job.

4. Is there anything planned to allow a preview before printing (like in Safari) to facilitate printing only what one wants to print?

I'd very much appreciate answers to the above.

Seriously, Firefox, I don't think you could have made this more confusing if you tried. Why did you name the Facebook Container extension the same as the Multi-Container Facebook Container extension?

Basic questions 1. When you're in the Multi-Container Facebook Container are you supposed to open Facebook within that container to keep it contained there? Or are you supposed to open websites within Multi-Container Facebook Container that you want to protect from Facebook?

2. Does the Facebook Container extension work within all of the Multi-Container containers?

Since a few weeks only whenever you start browsing on any browser, a window opens asking you to agree or refuse the settings for tracking by cookies etc. Does this procedure annulate myown prefenrences settings?

Most of the people don't care about that and tired of being harrassed just agree to all trackings and cookies. But I don't want to be tracked and my preferences settings are all personnalised and quite strict on what I agree and what I don't agree.

So if firefox asks me to agree before I'm allowed to browse, and I agree to all of the tracking, does this annulate my privacy settings in the parametres?

Please give me an answer to [email]@gmail.com or call me +[phone number]

Or on this forum?

Hello, I'm a person who has recently started using the calls on discord more frequently, which means that we like to screenshare the content we're browsing and we want to do that without pressure. It is completely fine when it comes to people I know IRL, they know my name, they know my last name, they know my email, I'm not worried when it comes to them, but, if I'm sharing Firefox, I always have to remember that I should stop sharing before clicking those three lines for the right side menu, before I accidentally show my email, which contains my real name.

Is there any option to protect me? To hide the email, or the entire option, or just for it to say something like "My account"?

If the feature does exist, please let me know! And if it doesn't, I'd like to have it for a future update.

Thanks in advance.

Under EXCEPTIONS I had to ALLOW certain websites. Then I decided to experiment and see what ALLOWED for SESSION really does.

Neither the entries for websites I allowed for a session were deleted from the list of exceptions, nor the cookies saved by these websites were deleted even when I closed the browser.

I do not see the difference in terms of what happens between selecting Allow vs. Allow for session.

Could someone who knows please explain or point me to the place that explains the difference and how this works?

Thanks.

I connected to the web interface of my printer and got a warning that it could be an unsafe site. I clicked where it said I accept the risk. How do I do that in Firefox 83.0?

Otherwise, the Promise never resolves or rejects. Is this a bug or a feature, and where is this documented? Is there a media Config setting, to tell Firefox to allow getUserMedia Promise to resolve in non-active Tabs? Otherwise this looks like a bug for me...
