Evil Corp (aka Microsoft) updated my Windows 11 PC from 24H2 to 25H2 and now I cannot access quite a few websites (i.e. Amazon, Bank!, etc.) and some take a long time to load (surprisingly, my Firefox Home page...Google...also takes a while to load) . I searched the internet and found many so called fixes and most are very complicated and many contradict others. A lot of them say to disable DNS and reset network stack (using the command prompt) which I do not know how to do even though I worked in the tech business for 40 yrs (mainly data networking)...I retired 20 yrs ago...so I'm old...so I'm not as savvy with computers as I used to be. I tried changing a few Firefox settings, but nothing worked, so I changed them back to the original settings that worked before the update. If someone could give me detailed (and hopefully simple) instructions to resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm am in a bind, so a timely response would be great. i have a firefox account on my old windows 10 computer. Firefox is having trouble "finding that site" for some sites I've used for years. I've checked internet settings in Firefox, reset my WIFI router, etc. with no response for connectivity. But I really guess I don't know what or where to check... Thought it was a VPN setting, not fixed. What should I try to find and correct my problem?? Ray ([edited email from public forum])

Social Security just stopped me from downloading my 2026 COLA on Firefox with an error 400 (bad request), but I was able to do it on Edge. More and more websites, particularly financial and government websites, work with Edge but not Firefox. And when I call their customer services, their first response is "try another browser!" Why do they hate Firefox?

If someone wants me to walk them through an example of the problem(s), I can do that when I pull statements or pay bills on those websites. I also have Mozilla VPN, and some things only work when I turn off the VPN, so that may be compounding the incompatibility. Although I am in Eugene (OR), the closest location for my VPN is Seattle.

When I try to load "Comments" I get this message:

Failed loading comments! Please try again...

Trying again doesn't help.

I am not able to receive mail from a user sending me mail from a gmail.com account. I have communicated with my ISP Optonline.net and they state the there mail process "checks out" and the issue could be the browser I am using, Firefox. The last email I have from a gmail.com sender was 8/28/2025. I have asked two different gmail users the send me mail and have not received any of them. I have cleared the Firefox cache but that did not correct the issue. I come to you to figure this issue out and hopefully solve it. Near Firefox. Why does Firefox's built-in translator always write “Near” in front of all opening sentences? It's very annoying to look at. Have you considered using AI? DeepL is great for translating. It translates not only the words, but also the culture.

Youtube just does not run well on the firefox browser, I have had this issue on my pc, as well as my laptop. Twitch, piracy streaming sites, 9anime all work fine this problem with loading and buffering is exclusive to youtube. I have tried resetting my firefox settings, changing the values for load times and resource usage in about:config and none of these have fixed my youtube.I have tried multiple fixes I've been recommenced by online forms. I have switched my user agent to make youtube think I am using chrome, I have disabled and removed all of my extensions including ublock origin, and loading youtube remains painfully slow. In fact, disabling adblock makes the load times even slower.

Also responding to my post with "hmmm durrr it works just fine for me" does not help anybody, stfu.

For the past few days, I haven't been able to use Google Lens for searches. Why? It used to work, and I haven't changed anything on my computer.

I read the support article about this problem: everything seems fine, Google is definitely my search engine... Can you tell me what I need to do to get it working again? Thank you

When File Explorer of Windows 11 25H2 tries to access and open an icon-file in the FF (144-64bit) profile's 'shortcutcache' folder, explorer gets Access Denied. The account running Firefox has admin rights.

Looking to the ACL of the profile folder containing the folder 'shortcutcache' show no reason for the blocking. Trying this with a new profile did not help.

Hi. According to my observations, only Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Reader have this problem so far.

Windows 11 + Multi-Monitoring Windows 10 have this Bug not !

Open Firefox, drag the window to the second or third monitor, and suddenly there is another hidden Firefox window on the taskbar of that display. If you move Firefox back to the main monitor, it disappears again. Or you can close Firefox and restart it on the desired monitor.

This is an annoying little bug, and I don't understand why Microsoft or Mozilla haven't fixed it yet. It's easy to reproduce and has obviously been around for a while. Since it only affects the two programs mentioned above so far, an MS update will probably not fix it; instead, the developers at Mozilla and Adobe need to address it.

I hope you release a bug fix soon... but since that hasn't happened yet, I'm afraid it will take a while... I'm surprised, because I'm sure many people are experiencing this annoying problem, and in my opinion it's not a big challenge for your developers.

@Mozilla Please Fix this Bug. I know Windows 11 is not better than Windows 10 but Supports End and many Users and Customers used in Future this OS and if you don't want to lose any more market share, it's important to fix this minor bug for ordinary users too. Thanks ;-)

For some reason text rendered in canvases (used by Minecraft hostings to display console) is distorted. I'm not getting this behavior in other browsers (including Zen – Firefox fork). The issue persists in both stable and nightly versions, with and without hardware acceleration, in safe mode too. Any clues?

Firefox recently sent out its monthly newsletter (Oct '25) with all sorts of options that can be enabled on Firefox. I'm a computer illiterate & foolishly chose some of the options -- don't remember which nor know how to discover them.

Now javascript is no longer enabled on my MacBook Air (macOs Big Sur 11.7.10). I cannot access my protonmail account and many many other sites.

I've gone cross-eyed accessing "fixes" that are labelled "only for advanced users" & am bright enough to not even try.

Is there a simple fix (short of wiping my computer -- with data going back 11 years) that even I can do?
