My Firefox desktop app recently updated. After it updated, I now cannot access anything by right clicking. When I right click, a giant window of options shows up (see image). It doesn't change no matter what I click on. When I try to select something in the giant window of options, nothing happens. I'm having a very hard time with it, particularly because I can't open links into new tabs now.

I have Firefox's New Tab set as my home page, since I'm choosing to divorce myself from political doomscrolling for the next four years. The New Tab page is perfect for having frequently visited sites at the top, Pocket stories I can curate in the middle, and what used to be a history of articles and sites I've read most recently in "Recent Activity" along the bottom. Within the last few days, "Recent Activity" has been blank, and will no longer keep track of articles I've recently read. I've tried clearing the browser history and cookies, and it came back for a moment, but quickly went back to being blank. And the major downside to clearing the browser is that my four rows of most frequently visited sites gets wiped clean also, and I have to spend time getting them back on the list. I do not have Firefox set to automatically clear history upon closing it. I've tried turning "Recent Activity" off and on with the page's Settings (cog in the bottom right corner). I'd really like to have this back, as it can help me find recently read content (especially Pocket content) easier than wading through the History log. Any help would be appreciated.

Firefox has become exceedingly slow. I have used Firefox for the most part going back to the beginning save a 2 year stint when Mozilla fell behind and did not update the product in the early years after ver 4. However, the slowness of Firefox is so bad now that I may have to find or use another browser! It is literally that bad! This problem is recent as in the last 45 days as far as my individual needs. I have already gone through the troubleshooting list and made the modifications. That seemed to work for a day or two but the slowness of Firefox is progressively getting worse with each passing day.

The speed is like 3 minutes to 10 minutes when just trying to open a known and commonly used bookmark. Checked against Edge which came with Win 11 and Edge loads within a second or two. So, the problem is not hardware or internet connection. I have one of the fastest speeds on the planet with a true fiber optic connection as I am close to the backbone location in my city. We are talking 2.1gig down and 820MB up. Tested against two different speed tests. The problem is with Firefox specific. Mozilla needs to address this issue as it seems to be an ongoing problem across several IOS platforms.

It keeps telling me that Firefox will not allow the page to be displayed if another site has embedded it. It advises me to open the link in a new window.

This does not work - I get the same error message. I need to be able to edit my website! Can anyone help, please?

Hi, first time writing here so I don't know what to do or expect. I recently received a warning by Firefox that as of March 14, 2025 Firefox will end support for Windows 8 (8.1 and below too) and that the last version compatible with Windows 8 is Firefox 115ESR (up to which? Before in Settings Firefox wanted to update from 115.0.3 to 115.0.3ESR now it says 115.1ESR - is this still ok for Windows 8? Are all 115 versions ok or not? Please help because I'm not a computer person, at all, with far too many gaps). Also, what happens after March 14, 2025? Will I be able to keep using Firefox 115ESR version even if I won't be getting any more updates or not? Also, I have extensions (4 ad blockers+Ghostery+VideoDownload helper) which keep updating and the warning said that extensions may not work properly anymore - so I wonder if you know if these above mentioned will in fact be affected or not, because I don't know whether to update them after March 14, 2025 or not because I'm not sure how to go back to a previous version should they not work. Too, I would like to say that you suggest switching to a newer Windows ver. (10 or above) but not everyone really wants to for one reason or another. Personally I find myself fine with Win 8 so far and don't like Win 10 while Win 11 may be too much for my old computer and I cannot afford to buy another. Also I would not attempt to upgrade to Win 10 without help (considering that others more expert had difficulties making it work or reverting back to Win 8) help that I do not have, at all - that's why I'm here now, and I don't really understand how this works either, so... Anyhow, reading on that warning page that after March 14, 2025 you would reconsider your position regarding support for Win 8.1, 8 and below (and knowing also that Chrome and Edge have ended their support - effectively leaving users stranded or forcing them to upgrade to a Windows version unwillingly) I would like to plead with you NOT to follow their example and help us, your supporters, keep using Firefox (which you say is for the people) - like I said many of us have good reasons for keeping on using Win 8.1 or below, so won't you please, PLEASE help us keep Firefox as our browser so that we too may keep using Internet? I know technology goes forward and staying behind makes all more difficult but not all can afford the same things and since I have found that there are a few of us yet I am asking to PLEASE not abandon us as others have done (leaving us to manage the best we can) but consider our plight (I know it might be a challenge for the engineers and developers but surely you can find a solution at least to allow us to keep using Firefox). Not selecting each one and holding down the CTRL key.

Btw, I already explained this ... so, is there a way. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and not keeping the former settings. But the stupid bookmarks keep coming back!

slow loading web pages & others websites won't sigin in

When is Firefox (across devices) going to bring "Tab Groups" in-built in 2025 as it is difficult to ditch Chrome esp., if it is related to work or research and similar tabs are opened up?

I have to rely on chrome and edge for same and both have not only brought it but improved it considerably. Also, chrome has not brought for mobile devices so grouping of tabs is more easy and simple but when I look at Firefox and Firefox based browsers, I see nothing of that thing present. The addon esp., Simple Tab Groups (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/simple-tab-groups/) is unreliable (see reviews).

If Firefox want us to use their browser and as default, they should see why we are using Chrome and Edge (latter, having vertical tabs in-built, also).

I hope 2025 is a year Firefox learns of how to retain users across devices. Currently Firefox is more from 2005.

Browser Choice Alliance wont be helpful if browsers like Firefox dont see users and their reviews and posts and issues reported. "https://browserchoicealliance.org/"

Error message from Firefox is "The page isn’t redirecting properly". WHY???

I am an academic. I use Canvas. When I am in Canvas and I try to open a document in it from Firefox, what I get are solid black pages. I do not have this problem with Canvas in Chrome or in Edge. I really don't want to use those Browsers. I actually have this problem with every PDF I try to open from all sites. This is a recent problem. But if I cannot correct it, I will have to use other Browsers.

Unable to use microsoft teams

Firefox does not support Microsoft Teams in it's browser. This is the only thing which is required in work. Please work on this feature also.

Hello, Sorry to disturb but its been two days and I am unable to access my Google accounts (work and private) through Firefox in anyway. I have done all the basic fixes I can think of but with no success. I have deleted caches, checked plug ins, rebooted Firefox went through the trouble shooting mode, followed advice in the community forum, tried logging in from Google linked accounts. Spoke to our internal IT support at work but nothing has solved the issue as yet, spoke to Google support.

My assumption is that it has to be the browser as I am able to log into google with another browser but Firefox is my preferred browser and would like to use it again as such.

Please advise.

Recieving 403 errors in firefox but nowhere else

I often receive a 403 error when using Firefox Every time, before this happens, I get the unsafe website warning and then the 403 error when I continue anyway


I am using the latest version at the time of writing These errors only occur on my desktop PC I have tried to replicate this issue on both my phone (Android) and another laptop(Windows 11) but all the websites work normally on there.

I have tried the following, none of which have any effect:

  • Clearing cookies
  • using Troubleshoot mode
  • Restarting
  • Changing Useragent
  • Using "Forget about this site"

The following do fix the issue

  • Using a VPN
  • Using Google Chrome
  • Running Firefox in another profile

Going through the privacy and security tab and reseting all the settings sometimes works but only temporarily

The following are a few websites where the issue occurs
