When I try to open a local php file on my MAC hard drive with FF 3.6.8, the save file dialog box opens instead. It says: You have chosen to open index.php which is a TextEdit.app Document. I do not have this problem with Firefox 3.5.11.
I have tried: opening the file directly from Firefox as well as double clicking the file (which is the most common way).
I have also tried changing the file "open with" preference to "open with Firefox." That did not work either.
Any help on this would be appreciated. I'm on a MAC OS 10.5.8

Not sure how or when, as I am not aware of having installed anything voluntarily. It is now affecting Firefox, as well as Safari.

The new status bar has a "Done" message that sometimes will not go away. This is particularly problematic on Netflix, where "Done" persists, and is irritatingly obvious on the black background. Mousing over it simply makes it switch to the other side of the screen. I can't find any settings related to this - any ideas? I know there's an add-on to go back to the old status bar, which I might resort to, but surely is this solvable in Firefox 4.
I also can't figure out why the "Done" label is sometimes there and sometimes not, and sometimes appears when I haven't loaded a new page.

I was navigating through my website last night (www.roxxsterclub.com), when I suddenly was taken to a page which said something along the lines of, "This page is untrusted. Get me out of here." However, since I was navigating through MY OWN website, I thought everything was secure so I created an exception and allowed access to the page. Ever since then, whenever I navigate to the url of my site in Firefox 16.0, I am taken to a different website about a Cricket Club. This is not a redirect, since my url remains in the url bar. This seems to be a Firefox-only issue, because when I am able to access my site under different browsers. I cleared the cookies, cache, and history, but that didn't fix the problem. Suggestions?

Reboot fixes, but problem recurs. Pages load faster in Safari even when FF is fresh. Fed up and considering switching to Chrome or Safari.

It worked about a week ago but Friday it stopped. The message says if it is a site that previously worked it may be a hacker.

Why can't I unistall Starfield Zoom 1.1, what is it and why is it auto-installing with a new FF install?? I did not ask for it to be installed, did not download it, did not tell it to, and is it a hack or something?? And why isn't there any explanation of this by Mozilla?? The description of the plugin is "Productivity application zoom extension." Well it's not good enough that I can only DISABLE it, I want it GONE because I didn't authorize this in my browser! And if you can't be helpful or don't know, then would someone PLEASE tell me how I can contact someone at Mozilla who does? Because this forum post will probably never be read by any developer and I think it's a crock of you know what that you can't get better support for something like this and there's almost no information to be found on it.

Apparently this has been an issue in the past (2007, I think). Recently after updating my Firefox browser to ver. 3.6.9, I am not able to reply to emails I receive in my Godaddy webmail. Are there updates available to fix this issue? If so, how do I obtain them? I love my Firefox, but I also love my Godaddy! Having to use Safari for webmail now. Not sure if I should or even need to post URL for this issue. Please advise.

In addition, when navigating to folders on the screen, the highlight bar is very sensitive and stops if we even move a muscle, and we have to start again from the top. Some of the bookmarked sites located in folders are far to the right, and navigation is also difficult, going way across the big page to get to them. Thank you.
