Got this error message on recent update and now Firefox doesn't work at all. Platform Version '131.0.3' is not compatible with minversion >= 131.0.2 maxversion <= 131.0.2

I know that typically mozilla does not put a low bound on advisories, and https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2024-40/ is the advisory for vulnerabilities fixed in ESR 128.2. CVE-2024-8387 is listed here. yet the advisory for 115, https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2024-41/ does not list this vulnerability. Was this something that was only impacting 128 (for the ESR builds) or is there a mistake that either 115.15 did patch it but it wasn't documented, or the patch has been missed and ESR 115 is still vulnerable?

I looked at the system requirements page at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/141.0/system-requirements/ . For Windows devices, the operating systems supported are listed as "Windows 10 or later".

In October 2025, Microsoft officially stops providing feature and security updates for Windows 10. However, they offer consumers and businesses the option of enrolling in 1-year, 2-year, and 3-year subscriptions for Windows 10 devices which will provide another 1-year, 2-years, and 3-years of additional security updates. For those individuals and businesses who will be enrolling devices into the Windows 10 ESU program, will Mozilla continue to support Firefox on Windows 10 after October 2025, at least for those receiving security updates through Microsoft subscriptions? Or at that point will Mozilla consider Windows 11 to be the only supported Windows operating system?

Hi James Your reply does not answer my question - "Could you please advise a work-around to allow me to continue to use Firefox V 94.0.1 reliably after 25 March 2025". Thank you. Also FYI, I indicated that I was continuing to use Firefox V 94.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 7 Professional. This is because all versions later than 94.0.1 modified settings which had to be reset after an update. This was not necessary up to and including V 94.0.1 Cheers Graham Garden

After a windows update I get the following message when I try to open Firefox: The procedure entry point ?ToLogLevel@mozilla@@VA?AW4LogLevel@1@H@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library C:ProgramFiles\Mozilla Firefox\xul.dll Then I get Couldn't load XPCOM

I tried uninstalling firefox but it just hung. I restored it to before the windows update but still got the same message

I got tired of the shenanigans with the latest "upgrades" to firefox (132 & 133) so I rolled back to the last working version (131.02). In doing so, it required me to create a new profile, which I did. Doing so WIPED OUT ALL OF MY BOOKMARKS, SETTINGS, ADD-ONS, OPTIONS, HISTORY, EVERYTHING!!! I now have a blank version of firefox.

How in the world can I get them back???

I have a macbook air laptop (late 2010) and have been using the latest version of Firefox browser for browsing. It's one of the few browsers still available. Google is popping up with the message that my browser is no longer supported. Do you have any suggestions about a browser that may work (other than a new computer please)? Will Firefox be coming up with a new extended version that will work? Thanks!

I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. Running Firefox on macOS Sequoia 15.0. Afternoon of Tuesday, 8 October, Firefox abruptly ceased loading any pages. I eventually learned of the malware incident and downloaded Firefox 131.0.2 last night and overwrote the existing file. It worked for a brief moment, then also ceased functioning. Have downloaded 131.0.2 several times now, with no further success. Currently dead in the water with Firefox, and stuck with Safari. :(

I cannot login into a website because they complain that I have an old version of PHP. Is that already included in Firefox? I am using Firefox Vers. 143.0.4 on a MacBook Air with MacOS Big Sur, Vers. 11.7.10 Shall I go to the PHP website and download PHP?

Hello all,

During clean-up of my laptop I noticed 31 language package files in C:\ProgramData\O949. File names look like: langpack-en-US@firefox.mozilla.org, and they all originate from 23-Jan-2017 so I guess they're very old files which might be relevant anymore. As these 10,058 files occupy 56 MB I'd like to remove them from my laptop.

Does anybody know if such task is wise, not harming current running FF v131.0.3?
