Hello, I have problem with YouTube. When I am clicking "Share" button I got screen with infinite loading. The same issue happens when I want to open menu by clicking on my avatar. On dev console I am getting a POST error: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Status/401

I tried to: - clean Google/youtube cookies and stored cache; - clean then all cookies; - relaunch Firefox with all addons disabled; - enter via private mode with/without addons; - flush dns on dev console; - disable completely antivirus; - change DNS.

What is interesting, that problem happens only when I am logged in to my Google (YouTube) account and only on Firefox. Even on private mode it works until I do not log in to my account.

I would be very grateful for help.

I have two issues with spell checker.

1. It doesnt appear to work on some sites i.e Reddit or even this site as I type

2. When it does work, Google, I don't appear to get an option to select the recommended word

• I am using FF Version 82.0.3
• Spell checker is enabled
• Language pack is installed
• layout.spellcheckDefault is set to 1

FireFox broke my youtube (utube) account when you updated the picture in picture (p.i.p.) from the BLUE p.i.p. button that came out from the right side of the utube vids.

• NOW with the new upgraded "white" p.i.p. button, I login to utube and the loaded utube page don't log me into my account, I have to keep reloading the page 10 times or more just to get my subscription list to load on the left side, but my notification bell in the top right hand corner won't load the new videos and it reads "SIGN IN" even though I'm signed in, and the channels I subscribe to NOW HAS a subscribe button even though I'm subscribed already!!! CRAZY!!!
• Why does it not log me into all the features on the page?

And why won't it detect I'm ALREADY logged in and load all my normal features?

• • • IS FIREFOX AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND GOING TO FIX IT or do I need to use another browser forever to view utube?

I've been having this problem recently (firefox build 82.0.3 and a few older versions) where characters randomly disappear from the text being displayed. In addition to webpage body text, the address bar and tab titles also disappear sometimes.

As I'm typing this text characters are randomly being replaced with blank spaces. Firefox is the only application on my computer that seems to have this problem. I have restarted it, reset the user profile, and disable all extensions/add-ons in an attempt to debug but it hasn't seemed to help.

Attached are two screen captures, one where the text has disappeared on me and one after I highlighted the text to bring it back. Note: the address bar and tab titles are blank in both since I didn't highlight/click on them.

Whenever I open Firefox it opens a new tab for a brief moment then closes it and opens my previous tabs from my last session. I have this setting unchecked in the settings. I think that it is crashing and trying to restore my pages because of that, but there are no crash reports when I visit about:crash. I am running the latest version of Firefox and windows 10.

Friends, I use FF extensively and prefer not to change but it's been very annoying as of late.

If you google "squeeze lemon" for example -- on my Chrome it shows images and a list of drop down subjects "people also ask".

On Firefox, the pictures don't show -- and drop downs are frozen (don't work). Also on other sites that have a Captcha, Firefox just doesn't work. Seems same problem with 82. Help!

On FoxNews.com, some articles include a section at the bottom for user comments. First-level comments frequently receive additional second- and third-level comments.

First-level comments are working fine, but lower-level comments are partially obliterated with a string of black diamonds with question marks �?U��N�@?�.

This is not an issue when I use Safari, but it is on Firefox.

I started having problems with YouTube recently and I think it is a Firefox issue.

I am running version 82.0.3 (64-bit) and when I log into YouTube, the Home page is not displaying all the content.

I have attached severl screenshots and you can see the problem as follows:

Image Sign In 1 shows the YouTube home page before signing in. Image Sign In 2 shows the YouTube home page after I have signed in using my Google account and you can see at the top right of the screen that my Google Account avatar (Darth) is showing. However, a lot of the content, e.g. Watch Later, Classics and My Subscriptions which are user related are all missing and if you compare this image to Image Sign In Chrome you can see that Chrome is showing everything and works correctly.

I tried this on Edge as well and it works all okay, the same as Chrome, so that is why I think there is an issue with Firefox.

Also, on the left side in the middle in Image Sign In 1 and Image Sign In 2 you can see a blue Sign In box with the words "Sign in to like videos, comment and subscribe." If you select this option you get an error which is in Image YouTube Sign In Error so I don't know if this is related to my problem but I thought it may help highlight what the problem is.

Any confirmation that it's a Firefox issue or any solutions to what is causing it would be appreciated.

Hi, I have used Firefox on my desktop pc using Windows o/s many years with minimal problem. Last few weeks Firefox operating strangely. Starts off fine then after opening a few tabs will not open others. Seems to be searching for new url but no show. When I close it down to re-open fresh a pop-up box appears with option 'close firefox'. Only when selected will firefox re-open. That then works fine for a few tabs then will not open after that. I have tried Refresh, Restart without add-ins, Safe mode. None have removed the problem. I have thought about Uninstall then reinstall a 'clean' firefox, but worried about losing all my data. The problem seems to have started a few weeks back after a Windows 10 update but I am not sure about that. Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

This seems to be a newish issue - as in, I think it has not been happening until at least a few weeks ago. The computer (linux) is always on, and firefox is also always running (except when I update to a new version). But I was not using the computer for a while. Today I sat at the computer expecting to see all my tabs that I sent to it via "send tab to device", but as soon as firefox started syncing, everything slowed down to a crawl (to the point where even typing to a terminal would have upwards to several seconds of lag). Weirdly, it doesn't seem as if there's a lot of CPU or IO being used, according to top and iotop - but I was seeing multiple "migration" processes (that went away after quitting firefox), suggesting that there are many threads doing very little work in aggregate. After googling a bit I tried setting sync.log.appender.console to Debug and looking at debug console, which didn't tell me anything interesting - it actually looks as if the sync itself completes fast. And, in fact, my bookmarks seem to have synced to today's state correctly. (restarting after updating to current version does not seem to help; running in safe mode also doesn't seem to help)

1) What's up? How do I stop this from happening?

2) How do I get my "sent" tabs? Even a list for the past 2 weeks would be fine. Working it out from browsing history would be ... a lot of needles in even more piles of hay.

I updated from 81.something to 82.0.3, 64-bit I'm on Windows 10-64 Since the update I get painting glitches: whole block are painted black. See attached image: the black (partially transparent) sqaures on the left en top of the screen when I opened GMail.

In the plugin "facebook Container" I have made a new "tab category" called "social media" with a blue sign. The problem is that firefox continues to open FB in the old category even if I delete it, which is also very hard to do as I have to close all my FB-tabs to be able to delete it in the options tab. Next time I use firefox or a few days later firefox has again undeleted the old FB category and again opens my FB tabs in black tabs instead of my new blue tabs. I can´t use my own new tab category as long as the old one is there and it keeps comming back after I delete it. Very annoying to say the least! Please fix this error as soon as posible, thank you.

i Totally agree with this now closed post: I just returned to Firefox due to high level hacker threats & identity theft basically I'm still battling,so I have to have all Social Media in Containers from now on & can't use other browsers w/o containers, so I get it all setup & had my sync on & the containers start acting up, so I see a suggestion to just simply refresh it, oh yea, that solves most problems, NO IT CAUSES MORE THAN IT SOLVES! Now my Lastpass pw mgr, can't get clipboard permission cause the page just comes up blank,when I try to copy/paste a pw, to sign into sync even, I had to past from outside using another browser & don't have containers on it, Brave should catch up to this, cause Chrome,clearly doesn't have containers, so I'm done using it & now w/o Firefox working right I'm screwed, it's so aggravating, Just when I thought firefox was doing good again, nope, you're back on my shitlist. I'm pissed just like this guy! I got my bookmarks & think I got the sync working but you shouldn't suggest refresh to fix issues, now how do I get my lastpass working? cause I have pop up blockers disabled & the permission page for firefox won't come up, just a blank page every time I try to copy a pw to paste in, manually, ugh, I hate this!

I stupidly accepted the Firefox suggestion to refresh my browser and everything i worked so hard for is gone. Its going to take me forever to FIX what your stupid site has screwed up. YOU REALLY OUGHT TO TELL PEOPLE IF YOU USE THIS YOUR GOING TO BE SCREWED

So I thought I'd just delete it and start over but even that has so many steps I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS STUPID CRAP AND I REALLY HATE FIREFOX FOR SCREWING UP MY COMPUTER AND MY DAY

I understand that you're frustrated, but it only takes a couple minutes to copy the files. Take it step by step. Do not delete anything, that will only make it worse. Do not use Windows' system restore feature, that may make it totally irreversible.

I noticed today when I opened a new private window and pasted a URL into the address bar, the website seemed to know that I had been there before. So I closed the window, opened up a new private window, turned on the network tool, and tried again. What I saw was on the very first network request, Firefox sent half a dozen cookies to the website!

What's going on here? Does the private browsing session not end when I close the window? Is it supposed to?

Can not load website chase.com using firefox. Am able to load website using other browsers. All browsers ae using default system settings for proxies.

The attached screenshot is what is displayed after login to the website.

I have recently updated my Windows 10 OS to OS build 19041.630 (png attached). Since then I have been getting error messages on some (not all) Youtube videos, saying

"Your browser does not currently recognise any of the video formats available. Click here to visit our frequently asked questions about HTML5 video."

Clicking the link brings me to a youtube page saying "Your browser is up to date. You can use YouTube's latest features!". Same goes for when I check my browser's settings-page and-about page. Firefox is up-to-date. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox with a freshly downloaded, latest version 82.0.3 (64-bit). Furthermore I have set all booelans on the "about:config/media.mediasource*" section to true (png attached).

Starting the browser in safe mode with all add-ons disabled does not remedy the problem either. I am a bit lost here, since by now I have gone through every approach I could find on the web.

I also tried downloading the windows Media Feature - Version 1903 (May 2019), but - strangely enough - it says my system is not compatible (now that's a new one; png attached). Above video plays without any problems on the affected machine using chrome, as well as on my work's Mac using Firefox.

Given the problematic video being german and funded by german public broadcast, I have considered local restrictions, but upon checking my IP address I am located firmly in germany (png attached). So there's no odd shadow VPN running.

Please help :'( anyone got any ideas?
