FF ESR 78.7.1 (32-bit) vs. FF 85.0.2 (64-bit) rejected by a site I need to use

The ESR release is apparently behind an update, likely security oriented (the site ESR is rejected by is a Bank). I've been told by the site that they test (essentially) Chrome...and go with THEIR updates, if it suits their purposes. They suggested blowing away the ESR history (...cookies and all of it) and restarting ESR. Afteer that didn't work, I'm presuming the fix the Bank wants is in FF 85.0.2 and not in 78.7.1 ESR. But, I'm guessing.

I realize ESR stages ESR releases to follow FF so to allow testing ahead of FF auto update migrations. It's one reason why I use ESR most of the time. But, I think it would help if we could have some way to associate ESR's release cycles (Versions) to FF (Versions) with dates and expected. Maybe it is somewhere.

Q. What is the relationship, if any, between the versions FF vs ESR? Is ESR 78.7.1 = FF 78.7.1 or what? Q. If not, what? Where/What is the relationship and is the timing set or variable on progressions of ESR?

hi! sometimes when trying to visit a site by clicking a google search result link, firefox stops it and shows:

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to (website).com. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details...

So my question is, would attackers be able to steal such information if i never enter any? ie, if i only visit the site to read about things...

Hi, other than the default search engines, I tried adding some more to Firefox in the options. The method I did this was, say I need to add Yandex search engine, I went to yandex.com https://yandex.com and clicked the three dots and the address bar and selected "add search engine" but when i go to options>search, the engines i added are in the drop down list (1), but not in the grid table (2)where you can add a keyword or remove the engine.

Is there a way to fix this?

I've been struggling today with accessing two systems on my work laptop. As I'm an administrator on both sites, I've been purposely using "private mode" browser sessions in Firefox (my default and fav) but I was surprised to see that the private mode appears to be "save" some of the session data from those systems - at least temporarily until I close all of those windows entirely?

I log in to one of those corporate sites with a username + password, then attempt to login to the other one in a separate tab, but it immediately attempts to auto-login me in with the credentials from the first site (which doesn't work as both sites require a different username/password for security reasons). I tried several combinations: I used separate private browser windows (instead of tabs) and the same thing happens. It's like it shares data across the instances? I also tried the reverse - logging into the 2nd system first on a fresh instance, then login to the first, and the same thing happens with a similar "invalid login" error.

Maybe its something weird about the auth on our network, like SSO? ...

I have noticed similar though where I've had other, multiple private browser sessions open on my personal laptop and even though I've closed one of them, activity from the site I closed has continued to happen in the background because the other private windows remained open ...

I've got 12 pinned tabs that load at Firefox start and need them to be pinned. Problem is Firefox loads only 3 tabs simultaneously, from left to right. Consequence it takes ages to load all of them and especially the last ones.

I tried to find an about:config setting to mod this behavior, unsuccessfully.

Settings I've already changed (x2): browser.tabs.remote.warmup.maxTabs 6 network.http.max-connections 2000 network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy 34 network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server 12 network.http.max-urgent-start-excessive-connections-per-host 6

and with some chrome extensions but only 3-row tabs, different color on unloaded tabs and show X on hover thats all my usechrome.css

the situation: we publish an internal wiki website in our intranet. the delivering server provides a certificate issued by our own microsoft active directory pki (root-intermediate-servercert). firefox is configured by gpos in order to use windows cert store, where root and intermediate are installed. but nevertheless firefox drops an error message ssl_bad_cert_domain and i do not see why. in chrome or chromium based edge everything is fine. no ssl warnings. as you can see in the attached screenshot the cert includes various san fields for different host names, which includes two ip addresses (anonymized).

any advice what do to is mostly appreciated.

Im having issues with my add ons/ Extensions not working. Only one shows in the top bar next to the URL area. Im unable to add any others despite having other Extensions such as Screenwise Meter, Topcashback, Honey. None of these are working though even though in the Manage Extensions area they are all enabled. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still they do not work. Topcashback, Screenwise Meter and Honey all do not work when I try them out.

Any help to fix this would be great.

I've been using new fonts to customize my firefox, but I found that the fonts I installed won't show up in the dropdown menu in preferences, I have to create a new profile to let the new ones do.

I don't want to change my profiles from time to time, so I turned to userContent.css, but I found it either cannot cover enough contents, or cover too much, causing some icons to break.

So the only way to change font for me is to find a way to let the newly installed fonts to show up properly in my current profile, but no matter I restart my browser or my computer they don't. The fonts I have must be read at the time I create a profile, and I guess the list is stored in either somewhere in my profile or under the firefox program folder.

I made every effort to search for it but failed, all I know now is it's not in any text file under profile folder, I wonder if anyone can help me with locating the list of fonts. My firefox version is 84.0.2 on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7.

Just recently (Jan. 21st), I tried to share my screen while in a Google Meet and received the message, "You must grant permission in order to screenshare." I don't receive this message when I try it in Google Chrome. I've been able to share my screen in Google Meet when using Firefox in the past, but don't remember the last time I did. So, not sure when this issue really started. I would like to continue to use Firefox for this function, so any assistance is greatly appreciated.

If I have open card in my f.e. home PC, and I want to send it to my another computer. OK - I can choose send to .... (I see full name of my another equipments).

BUT

If I want to do this from my smartphone - I don't know witch equipment I want to choose, because I see only this Send this card to "Firefox on equipment ..."

The names in Firefox on Android devices in this menu is to short to identification to which equipment I want to send this card (I have connected a few)

I can't find settings in Firefox account where I can do this.

So I think this is a big hardness to use this a very good idea from my android device

Few days ago something strange happens and system was hunged, i didn't do anything unusual, just web serfing, so, i had to reset system and was some astonishin because that rather rare accident. After reload i saw that my browser theme reset to default, and as remember account wasn't loginned as usual, after while i noticed that all logins and password just, disappeared... I very hope that just crash and not any hackers... And here is some pity because many of logins and passwords i mere don't remember.. What can i do in this case? Will be grateful for any help.
