For some unknown reasons, I can't get the password manager visible when I enter a new password on a web site. So no password recorded and I have to fullfil all the information every time I need to enter into my accounts. I tried to restart FF with the safe mode enabled, all add-ons turned off. That doesn't work better. I use AVIRA antivirus, FF 45.0, Win 10 (64). It seems I don't have a software which could create a problem. I have no idea where the problem is... Moreover, I can't find any topic relating to my precise case on the forum.

Firefox was creeping after I had disabled all addons. So I tried Refresh, having been assuered that a number of files, including Bookmarks, would be preserved. I have spent at least an hour trying to re-install some extensions. I have tried online suggestions without success. I have made four attempts to install Classic theme restorer. I have gotten one pannel which suggests that it is installed. but I it does not appear to be operative. I still see the new GUI. This is a substantial handicap, as I am not very familiar with the new GUI.

As far as I can tell, two other extenmsions have not been installed. And I have not been able to recover my bookmarks. Numerous other changes have occurred, including an invasion of Yahoo and Google products. I seem to have a number of plugins installed which I have neither re-installed nor re-acitvated

I am running Windows 7, with Firefox 45

I keep getting a Firefox window opening which states: "privacy-keep.com Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install software on your computer." Why?

While browsing Kijiji, I get the above message whenever I try to do almost anything except scroll. Even if I use the space bar, up it pops in its own little window entitled: Blank which is my default home page. Kijiji suggested I switch to Chrome... not going to happen.

I do not want any software installed without my expressed permission but I do want this message to go away, or at least allow me to say "Thanks! Good job! Now, go away till next a new occurrence."

Is there some setting I should change?

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified....

How can I add an exception if the "Advanced Button" is no longer available in most recent versions of firefox. I am only trying to get to my VoIP ATA by typing its ip on firefox URL line, and it gets blocked. Do I need a particular add-on or plugin to be able to see the Advanced Button when a Secure Connection like this (safe because it's my device in my own LAN)....

Firefox crashes

Firefox 45 and earlier versions very unstable. Many lock ups. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Went through the refresh. After refresh ALL addons re-installed thems… (மேலும் படிக்க)

Firefox 45 and earlier versions very unstable. Many lock ups. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Went through the refresh. After refresh ALL addons re-installed themselves automatically but lost all my security and update preferences in refresh. All issues still occur in safe mode. All versions still giving me js script errors. Then 2 -20 minutes before it unlocks. My crash log shows 2 -10 crashes per day - for MANY months. Often firefox takes my computer to 100% cpu and all available memory immediately on startup (zero network use) for at least 10 minutes. Auto update turned off, all apps and addons are up to date.

Have thoroughly checked for viruses and malware. Can find none except for the mozilla addons which help themselves to my resources and bandwidth without permission. All issues persist even when they are disabled.

I am sick and tired of chasing the mozilla support pages around and around and around AND Around for no effect. I can't even find the support forum. This text box is my first access after countless hours of chasing HELP!

Having viewed and read every support page and every topic, it is clear that these issues ARE NOT NEW.

Once I hit "Post Question" I have no idea where to look for the responses.

Alright, so. My website uses google font 'Montserrat' and the latest firefox update breaks it. To be honest, I'm sick of having to rollback (see notes below) because all that happens is the damn thing updates again without my permission. It's driving me nuts.

It looks absolutely awful, it's super jagged and just looks nothing like it should.

I think I've isolate at least part of what the problem might be. The 'unicode' font choice in option > content > font & colours is not there. It's stuck on 'latin' and there's no option for unicode.

I have tried fresh installs and all that jazz. The settings are correct except what I mention above. The page is allowed to choose it's own fonts, etc.

I've troubleshoot this issue quite a few times and the only thing that's fixed it is taking an old version from my husbands computer and using that.

If anyone could help shed some light on this I'd be extremely grateful as my site looks stupid without the font rendering correctly!

OS -Windows 7 SP1 x64 Ultimate. I have a last updated Firefox 45.0.2, installed over 2 years, with a very old profile (more than 2 years) and many extensions. Yesterday I tried to clean reinstall Firefox for better performance: saved all my extensions settings, Firefox settings and bookmarks, copied all profile folder, deleted Firefox with registry and folder cleaning and installed it again, but got a problem. After installing fresh Firefox 45.0.2 with default profile it starts only one time,the next launches are: Firefox starts in processes, but Firefox window doesn't appear. Tried to start Firefox in Safe Mode - no results: it starts in processes, but no window. Found that: when I copy my old profile folder to the fresh Firefox, it starts normally, So, I found that Firefox doesn't starts only after fresh install with a default profile. How can I solve this problem? Maybe some parameters in fresh Firefox prevent it to start normally. Need a technical help. Thanks.

Let me describe a very specific problem, and you can see how it leads to the general question.

If I go to Ars Technica using http://arstechnica.com/?view=mobile, there is a very useful feature at the upper left called Comment Replies. I like the feature, and it is not available in the full view. Nevertheless, I normally prefer the formatting I get at Ars Technica when I go there with http://arstechnica.com/?view=full, so I really want to be able to use either URL depending on my purpose. Unfortunately, all the Next Tab item seems to get is http://arstechnica.com/ with no "view" parameter. Now it turns out that the Ars site is apparently putting a cookie in my browser which tells it which view mode I was last using and the Ars site resumes in my last mode when I use the New Tab tile for Ars. That is not what I want. I want to be able to go directly to the view I wish, as it is cumbersome to get from one view to the other once I've got the wrong view.

Right now I have 2 separate bookmarks which include the view parameters. Since I go to Ars site very frequently, I would really like to be able to use New Tab to do it; but I can't figure out how to get separate tiles for each of the 2 links in there.

This has never happened. These files have always displayed in FIREFOX!!!!!! Now the DON"T.

What is FIREFOX's problem????

MOV files display in Safari and Explore just fine.

Please HELP, this is KILLING ME. I am a professor of chemistry and need to have FIREFOX return to what it used to be, having my videos showing.

Yesterday, Firefox stopped playing GIFs (which are actually displayed as videos) on Twitter. I can see the play button and the "GIF" word on the corner, but then the image turns black and the following message appears: "This browser does not support video playback.".

I honestly have no clue how it started. One day it was working fine as usual, but then it happened. Refresh feature didn't solve the problem, and entering Safe Mode didn't work either. It seems it is a rare problem, since I can't find any solutions on the Internet and I tried asking if this was a known issue to Firefox account on Twitter, but I had no answer.

This is seriously annoying, but I noticed another browser, the Vivaldi, also has the same problem, but Google Chrome doesn't. This is really confusing. Can someone help me?

I have used Firefox on several computers for years. Suddenly on one of the computers I am being harassed to verify my email to activate something called a Firefox Account. I do not remember asking for this account, or entering any information to get one. I don't want to sync anything, I just want a browser. I have found no way to get rid of this thing, I have refused to verify my email, and it will not go away, It also took three resets of a password and retrieval of a username to get this far to be able to ask a question. In my experience uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox is no help because all of its previous settings and setup come back with any reinstall. If anyone would be so kind, please tell me 1. How to get rid of this Firefox Account nonsense and 2. Is there a way to uninstall Firefox so that ALL of it including settings, add-ons, plugins, preferences -- EVERYTHIG is eliminated? I like Firefox, but not being able to get any help from Mozilla is very frustrating. Thank you in advance. R.

My Intel wireless network settings lets me automatically launch an application whenever I connect to a certain wireless network ("Enable Intel connection settings" in Control Panel\Network and Internet\Manage Wireless Networks). However, when I choose to launch Firefox, it launches without my profile.

I located the profile folder according to the directions in the topic "How can I determine which profile Firefox 3 is currently using?". I was greeted with the attached error message upon trying to open the profile folder from the "profile-less" instance of Firefox. When I launch Firefox after closing the "profile-less" instance, my profile is loaded normally.

I tried to set my auto launch application path using a command line argument, but that resulted in a message indicating that my program path was invalid.

I tried creating a batch file that started Firefox, then setting my auto launch application path to that batch file. The text of my batch file is (including quotes):

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

Unfortunately, that didn't work either. I would like to know why Firefox can't load my profile using the auto launch feature, but it can load my profile when I launch it from my taskbar.

How to resolve yet another 'Unresponsive script' issue.. but with some twists?

There are so many 'unresponsive script' threads out there but none seem to quite match my symptoms, so bear with me. Will try to list all of the important points. Firefox… (மேலும் படிக்க)

There are so many 'unresponsive script' threads out there but none seem to quite match my symptoms, so bear with me. Will try to list all of the important points.

Firefox sporadically freezes. After a wait of 10-20 seconds of being completely unresponsive, the unresponsive script dialog appears.

- Interestingly, at the point the unresponsive script dialog opens, the website I'm on starts to work again in the background, fully finishing loading. Of course, I'm unable to access it due to the dialog.

- It doesn't matter whether I click Continue, Stop Script, or Debug Script - whichever one I click, the dialog disappears and Firefox re-freezes. If I click debug, I do see the debug panel open and start to load, but don't actually see the source code appear on the right.

- The script referred to in the dialog varies though I believe is always of the form chrome://browser/content/browser.js:xxxx

- It happens *inconsistently* and *not* in a replicable way - perhaps once a day, on all sorts of different websites. The same page that causes the crash will reload perfectly fine at a later stage. It happens while the page is loading (though I believe I've had it happen when a site AJAXed in a new ad too).

- I can often close the window by right clicking in the task bar and choosing close window, though the Firefox process continues to run.

- If I go into Task Manager and try to end the Firefox process, nothing happens, at least not straight away; the process remains there. Any attempts to open Firefox results in the 'Firefox is already running' popup; if I click the close Firefox button, it says the profile is inaccessible and is unable to.

- I've tried going into the profile folder and deleting the parent.lock file while this is happening, but get an error that the file is in use.

- After a few minutes, the Firefox process ends, and I can open it again.

- This problem only started happening after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 last year.

I have tried: - disabling all extensions - disabling hardware acceleration, both in the Firefox settings and in Flash settings (though I've had crashes with Flash disabled) - creating a new profile - and even running in safe mode

It's hard to test given it happens infrequently, but I've had crashes during all of the above.

The fact that I'm unable to end the process suggests a driver issue; I've checked for display driver updates but it says they're up to date.

I'm a developer myself, so if there are any methods that allow *debugging* the problem as it is happening, that would be something I'd like to try.
