When I download with this browser, I cannot open the file and it states download has "failed". Any other browser I use allows me to open the file. I use Firefox most often because I like the way it performs, but the download issue causes me to look elsewhere for a viable browser. I cannot seem to find what is causing the download failure and am hoping you can offer a reason that will provide a fairly quick fix.

As the title says, with both with https and http firefox displays this warning:

But no way to bypass it, trying to login to my ubiquiti edgerouter at http://192.168.1.1 or https://192.168.1.1

What can i do?

I have already turned off the 3 or 4 different types of firefox suggestions in the settings. Did they add yet another one? I can't find anything about it in the settings. How can I be sure I never get a pop-up suggesting any sort of wallpaper again?

Recently updated from 148 to 152 and it has added these dropdowns to both the address and search bars (see below screenshot) that require additional clicks to get past that I do not want. Ideally I would not have these (or would maybe have the search drop down appear AFTER the search field itself).

I require a clear delineation in my workflow for things I have actually visited (addresses) and things I am planning to visit (searches). Behavior I don't want: search drop down to appear in search bar between address bar and search bar (one tab click should take me from address bar to search bar - now it takes two tab clicks because of this drop down).

Resolutions I have tried: Going to "Settings > Search Engine Suggestions" and completely unclicking "show search suggestions". Going to "about:config" and setting the following fields to false: browser.urlbar.suggest.searches keyword.enabled browser.fixup.alternate.enabled

None of these actually remove the dropdown entirely from either the address bar or search bar.

How do I remove these drop downs aside from downgrading back to 148?

I download my share of media using BitTorrent with Pirate Bay. Just lately, every time I attempt to download something I get redirected to a page, https://ultimatesurferprotector.com/lp5.php, that tries to sell me a VPN and I can find no way to stop this or contact them. I am happy with the VPN I have and have no interest in purchasing another. Does anyone know how I can prevent this from happening? Thank you.

Since the blow up User Id's and Passwords to various sites no longer pop in by clicking in the requestors. I was able to retreive my UIDs and Passwords but I now have to obtain them from the Hamburger, Passworkds, etc. for each site I visit that requires a login. Twice for each site...one foe UID and again for Password. That is currently the worst problem I am facing but other damage was done with the update.

Suggestions for fixes are welcome.

I'm unable to open my mail.att.net on my HP Windows 11 computer. The screen shifts to Yahoo mail now. For a time I could click on the "small Person" symbol to log in. That now longer works. The session times out without connecting. I've cleaned and deleted cookies and browsing history. The same login problem now also occurs on my Microsoft Edge browser.

I uploaded Firefox on my desktop, now I want to access it on my laptop. I cant find a way to log in. I dont want to create a new account I just want to access firefox on my laptop and have it be the same as on my desktop.

Everytime I want to log in I am asked to create a new password.

To update my Intel graphics drive, I had downloaded and installed Intel support tool, which then used my default browser Firefox to scan and download the missing driver. After I was done though Firefox crashed and didn't open back up. In the latest build PIP for YouTube only showing half the video window. Phone restart and app update didn't fix it.

I lost all bookmarks on or about June 29, 2026 after doing a Firefox update that asked me to create a profile when I'd never had one before. I have not been able to recover them.

I have to reload history, bookmarks, passwords each 3 - 4 days, when Firefox refreshes the software. It was not happening before, just in the last two moths. How can I fix it?

Greetings. I am on Ubuntu Linux OS. Trying to run WhatsApp, I only have a web based option. Messaging, photos, works well, but no Audio. Desktop Speakers and Mic are ON (tested). No "speaker tab" on Firefox. Help!

I have been using Mozilla Firefox on my mobile phone or PC since 2015. So, after so long, I found the Gmail that I used to log in to Mozilla from 2015 to 2018. Now, if I log in with that Gmail, will the previous history or data be restored or will it be Mozilla's?

I'm trying to log in on a new machine, but when Firefox sends the 2FA confirmation code, it never arrives. I whitelisted accounts@firefox.com, but that makes no difference. Is there a way to turn off 2FA? Is there another solution?
