Hi! I'm on a relatively new to me (refurb) desktop computer running Win 10 Pro (64 bit)* and Firefox 143.0.3.
In the past week both Firefox and Win 10 have updated. I don't know what happened, but now when I boot up or reboot, my computer opens to MS Edge. Yuck!
Every single time I have to reinstall Firefox! Once I do that, all is well again. I have all my bookmarks back, etc.
It also keeps changing my "default to Firefox" browser setting, turning it OFF, while I'm using Firefox. I repeatedly have to keep going in and clicking to make FF to the default browser again.
Why is it doing this? How do I stop it?
Anyway, I know I can't delete Edge or uninstall it. How do I shove it back into the black hole it has lived in until now?

Been out and when I came back the page is totally blank. I've tried sytem restore to 5th October but makes no difference. I use Windows 10 and read that Firefox are continuing to support Windows 10 I'm visually impaired and use a desktop PC with a large screen. I'm not PC techically knowledgeable. At some point Firefox wanted to update to a newer version, it asked me if I wanted to refresh it, I said yes, nothing much happened besides I got a brand new folder I can't remove from my desktop. It asks for admin rights, I have admin rights, it's a local account, I am the only user, I tried the command prompt solution and it didn't help. Is there any solution to this at all that doesn't involve me getting into the bios?

Hello! After a clean install of Windows 11 24h2 Pro, Mozilla Firefox is unusable. It takes about 2 minutes to load a page which is abnormal. I remember I had the same issue when I first installed Windows 11 23H2 Pro and that was resolved somehow but it was 2 or 3 years ago and I've no idea what the solution was back then. I've tried some basic stuff including Test suggestion which of course didn't resolve anything as almost all of them are referring to cleaning cache, reinstall Firefox etc and it literally has nothing to do with my situation. Any solutions?

I recently received a message from PayPal, that my foxfire operation system remains "Windows 10", and this is also the case for Chase's internet banking. and, some time ago, I've used Window's 11, detail steps from the foxfire "windows 11", update site, that appears to be a failed attempt to date.

I made the mistake to following Mozilla's advice on why my tabs stopped coming back after I closed out, despite the fact that I had that selected in my settings. Now I'm stuck with an "Old Firefox Data" folder on my desktop and I can't remove it because I need administrator privileges -- but it's my personal PC. WTF
