I use Firefox on a daily basis. It's open 24/7 on my PC and has 7 pinned tabs because I use them all almost everyday - they are mostly e-mail. It's set to auto-update and I think it recently updated to version 80. Ever since Facebook announced the removal of Facebook Classic and rolled out a Messenger update yesterday, I have been getting weird memory-related issues. Since I don't use Firefox exclusively, I just minimize it but it's always running. When I maximize it back to use it, the Facebook pinned tab does something crazy and all my other software start complaining that Windows ran out of memory and sometimes even crashing them though Firefox doesn't and the Facebook page looks garbled like its CSS gets corrupted. I am using the new Facebook - the one that looks like an app - in Dark Mode. The issue only happens when I use Facebook. The issue started happening yesterday.

Important note: this only started happening yesterday. The only thing that changed was the update to Firefox 80 and the roll out of the new Facebook Messenger update. This PC is rarely shut down. Also, when I am using the network (like downloading games from Steam or Epic Games or GOG Galaxy), the issue worsens and Explorer crashes and closes everything in my notification area.

Current workaround: I closed the Facebook pinned tab and everything seems to be working fine.

Specs: Firefox version 80 (no plugins) Windows 10 version 2004 Core-i7 4790K, 32Gb RAM, SSD + 19 Terabytes total HDD NVidia RTX 2070 Super with latest Game Ready drivers

Crashing on startup even is safe mode

Any way to change the color of individual Bookmark folders?

I use the Bookmarks Bar extensively. But all the folders are the same color. I would find it much easier to find things quickly if I could change individual folder colors… (மேலும் படிக்க)

I'm already using Jscher's excellent UserChrome script to make the folders an attractive yellow, instead of gray. But can this be done for individual foders?

defaults read /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/Info LSEnvironment,

I got this response:

{MallocNanoZone = 0;}

It should read:

The domain/default pair of (/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/Info, LSEnvironment) does not exist

I cannot find anything about this and was wondering if it indicates anything malicious. Anyone know about this? Thanks.

I downloaded a new version of Firefox. When I trid to run it, I got the error message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I just want to report a malware attack I experienced yesterday (8/29/20) which seemed to affect only Firefox.

After I clicked on the link to Boston Globe article my Firefox screen was filled with what purported to be a message from Microsoft saying that my computer was blocked because of suspicious activity detected on my IP address and telling me to call 1-888-222-6480. It also wanted me to enter my Microsoft password and warned me not to turn off my computer. The whole thing looked suspicious to me, especially since a pop-up window on the page requesting me to enter something (I forget what) showed a URL that began https://drink3.ga At some point, I don’t remember whether it was when I did turn off my computer or whether it was because I didn’t respond to messages commands, the malware did something to make my computer heat up and caused the fan to run at a ferocious rate until a message appeared that a break point had been reached and Firefox closed down. I was then able to use another browser to get to the Firefox support page and learn about refreshing Firefox. After I did that, Firefox behaved normally.

I am sending this to you because it’s something you should be aware of and represents a vulnerability in Firefox that should be addressed.

It will not start in safe mode after a crash. I can start in safe mode after a restart of the computer, it still crashes soon after.

I only have windows defender at the moment and I have that turned off right now. Windows 10 Pro.

when I updated the Windows 10 to it's latest version, all websites stopped showing in the Firefox browser. When I try to type a url and press enter, nothing is showing up (https://imgur.com/13i6kNc). Extensions are also not showing up (https://imgur.com/gfVqWap). Not even Firefox settings (https://imgur.com/xO0D2cJ). Other browsers are working normally (I tried Internet Explorer 11, Google Chrome 84 and Opera 70).

I've always seen Firefox as the most trustworthy web browser and so I was planning on using Firefox as my main web browser for the long term. However, after reading this article I've become very anxious.

I am building a website and, for the last couple of days, when I make changes to the CSS file they are no longer being picked up by the browser by which I mean they aren't displayed in the web page nor in the developer tools inspector.

They are visible in Chromium browser and dev tools.

I have cleared the cache and refreshed the page to no avail. It is only when I restart the browser that the new style rules take effect in the browser and show up in the dev tools.

Now Firefox 77 breaks 99% of all websites. (See attached screenshot.) www.example.com www.google.com www.wikipedia.org etc

Somehow, support.mozilla.org works, UNTIL I try to log in.

I've tried incognito mode, safe mode, etc. When I change charset of the page, the text displays differently, but it's still a useless mishmash.

--- BUT --- when I open developer tools, click the HTML request and click the Response tab, the HTML renders correctly there.
