Hello
I'm trying to sign into a Microsoft 365 email account but can't get beyond a screen saying "To use this site, you need to change your browser settings to enable DOM storage or cookies."
I've enabled DOM storage and cookies but no difference. I've cleared cookies and no help. I'm running Firefox 115.0.2 and Linux Mint.
Is part of the problem that I hate Microsoft and they know it?
Thanks

Firefox beta release: 116.0b6 (64-bit)
On sites such as BBC.com, Youtube.com and Facebook.com I am not getting the normal cookie consent pop-up option which used to automatically show on opening the sites. Other sites are still showing the cookie consent option pop-ups. This means I cannot select if I wish to accept or reject cookies on several sites that used to allow me the option.
In checking about:config, the cookiebanners.service.mode is set to 1, which I believe this the correct setting for enabling the cookies consent pop-up option.
Is there any fix for the cookie consent pop-up not working on certain sites within the EU? I am not using a VPN or pop-up blocker. Tracking protection is set to Standard, cookies and site data are always deleted on closing Firefox and "Do Not Track” signal is set to always. Deleting all installed FF extensions has no effect either.
In other browsers on the same PC, Chrome and Edge, the cookie consent option does still work as it should on the sites mentioned. In Firefox it doesn't.
This is only happening on one PC. My latop has the same FF beta build installed and is not showing this behaviour, it still automatically shows the cookie consent pop-ups when visiting sites such as BBC.com, Youtube.com and Facebook.com.

I was having trouble switching and logging out of Twitter so I thought I could just clear site cookies to make it work, but I weirdly discovered "about:preferences -> Manage Data -> Remove Selected / Remove All Shown" has no effect. i.e. after clearing, when I open up manage data again, they are still there. I did not try "Clear Data" above it because I was afraid of clearing out all my logins.
I reinstalled my computer several weeks ago and current profile was directly copied from my last machine, so this might be a possible cause? Could someone be so kind to help me get remove cookies and hopefully twitter back to work? Thank you in advance.
Sure would be nice to have an option to auto-accept all cookies so we don't have to check it every time we visit a site.

Hello. Can someone please explain why Facebook asks for username/password every single time Firefox is restarted? I do not use cookie-cleaning extensions. They also send a 'login attempt' email and phone notification every time.
Tried with and without Facebook Container. Not using other Container/multi-account related extensions. My settings:
Standard Tracking Protection (allow/block exceptions: none) "Do not track" signal: Always Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed: disabled (no exceptions) History - Firefox will: Remember History
Thank you

For the past few days, Firefox has been freezing up. By playing around with it, I've found that it's still functioning, but it ceases to update visually. I'm not having the same issues with any other program on my PC, I don't see the icon to update Firefox, and I've restarted my PC a few times along the way.
When this happens, it's not just website contents that freeze, but Firefox's UI as well. Hovering a tab doesn't highlight it. Clicking the hamburger doesn't appear to open the menu. Etc...
If I have a video playing when this happens, I will continue to hear it, but the frame the video is on stays in place.
If I click on another open tab, it will still show me the tab it visually froze on, but if I end Firefox with Windows Task Manager & reopen it, the session saves the tab switch, so it's still taking mouse inputs. I've been able to do similar with keyboard inputs by clicking on the address bar and entering a new URL. I don't see anything as I type it, but after using Task Manager to close and reopen Firefox, the site I entered is there.
I can switch between open Firefox windows when this happens without issue, even on the same monitor, and if I pull up something else in front of Firefox and then switch to Firefox it will still display what was last visible in that Firefox window while the bug is occurring.
I have tried disabling add-ons, and actually found that disabling some of them made it happen *more* frequently, not less. Privacy Badger, Auto Tab Discard, & Ad Nauseum specifically. Switching from Ad Nauseum to AdBlock Plus or uBlock Origin neither increases nor decreases the frequency. My other add-ons, like Duplicate Tabs Closer, haven't had any effects on frequency that I can see. With all of my Add-ons disabled, Task Manager shows double the number of Firefox processes.
I tried to clear my history, but I can only select my last 1 hour of history, as clicking on the dropdown box to select another duration will cause the problem to occur & I can't see the other options in the box to select a longer option. The dropdown to select a topic for this question has the same issue.
These are some actions that risk causing the bug to start, but aren't 100% reproducible, and the list is not exhaustive:
I have not seen the bug occur at any time that I was not actively providing some input to the Firefox program.

Okay;
So a super positioned photon has a 720 degree of field displacability within its' emtiness and with its' orbitals and what-not...
But why does 4-Wheel luggage move so much more freely; it may even be in one place while maintaining the same 360 degrees of motions that a 2-Wheeled Luggage has - while it is in a fixed direction...
But they both offer the same 360 degrees of singular direction of motion...but...if you have4 Ball-Socket Joints on the bottom of the luggage, it could be going - without axle request-response reisistancant-fixation...; in spirals about the axis which it is also 360 degree traveling in...it could cover double the distance, while only traveling half the actual linear distance...

P.S. I found a glitch as I typed this - If you "Copy Image," you can Click "Add Image," then "Paste," the Image , successfully - it appeared on the display within that Folder...now it is on My desktop, but it fails to Upload, I can go and repaste - ACTUALLY replacing it on my Desktop...but it fails...
AHHHH unsupported Image Type...
You all could totally allow me to upload into an HTML6 Canvas with WASM, which I would suggest Simply Strips out the Color Positional Data; Storing it as a Binary Format - and then when you go to Display it; simply Read that Fetched Binary into a Linear Memory Sequence, as SetPixel Commands into the Canvas API...You do not REALLY need the WASM...But WebAssembly! (I guess it was the File Type.)

I think it has to do with cookies, but I can't figure out what to fix. I have my tracking privacy set to strict. Twitch has permission to use my cookies and site data (Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Exceptions). All of the other websites that I have granted that permission to have no problem remembering my device, but Twitch does. I looked at this post already and my account was already set to these settings. How do I make Twitch remember by device? It's annoying to have to go to my email and use a one-time passcode every time I log in.

about.ef2a7dd5-93bc-417f-a698-142c3116864f.mozilla This ‘cookie’ (no size shown) has been showing up on my Firefox ‘manage website data’ since at least March ’23 and it will NOT delete. It may not be 'a real cookie' but I still can’t get rid of it.
When I searched online for that apparent address I found: https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/applications/tor-browser/-/issues/40175 The info near the top of that site’s page: Torbutton INFO: tor SOCKS: http://expyuzz4wqqyqhjn.onion/static/images/home/png/block-trackers@3x.png?h=70991bcb via --unknown--:cc55771ba6d6e8c6542066863a47e223 SOCKS is a username? And the ‘onion/hidden service’ address cannot be accessed unless using the Tor browser? So that seems a dead end for me.
I have seen 3 other people posting here in the past year about this particular cookie. hobro1 did an uninstall & still had to remove directories manually after getting some answers from several others. blazee decided – based on the answer given by jscher 2000 – that it probably wasn’t dangerous. mekishev 1 received an answer from cor-el that is incomprehensible to me, except for saying ‘it isn’t a real cookie’. I understand it may not 'a real cookie' but then why is it showing up in 'manage website data' where everything else is a cookie?
Can anyone help, please? I’m about to migrate over to a new computer and really don’t want to take this with me. I don’t like the fact that it persists, and that the cookies ‘keeper’ – SOCKS maybe? – is completely hidden.
Thanks much in advance for any assistance!
PS The only possible explanation I've come up with for how it got this cookie is when I was checking out some Firefox extensions; I didn’t even know what Tor was till trying to figure this out.

The browser deletes cookies when closed. Every time I log in, I need to re-enter passwords (they are saved) on all sites, this is certainly tiring. I read about a similar problem from other users, they had the “Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed” setting enabled, but I didn’t.
how do I get firefox to clear all my cookies?
