MY FF recently updated to version 1380.1 (64bits) and my Sidebar Bookmarks are gone. That is I have to manually put them back every time I now start FF. I want them to always show when I start FF. When I need extra screen space, I would click the X and they'd disappear for that session. And when I was done, I'd click on View - Bookmarks they'd be reinstalled. And when I shut FF down and returned later, they'd be right there where I need them.

My question is, how do I get back to that setup?

No matter what setting I choose , ie dark or light, all the websites are showing dark. This is a real problem for my eyesight. I cant see words etc. I have tried various changes and have reset dark/light but still dark. can anyone help with this please

Hello, when many tabs are open, the mute button takes up almost the entire tab. When I go to a tab, I get to the mute button... https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2025-03-01-03-07-42-491a45.png Is it possible to remove this function on the tab, but leave the sound icon itself? So that when I click on the sound icon, the tab is switched to instead of mute?

I can't change colour of visited links with version 138.0.1 Why has this changed and how can I fix it. If I change the visited links colour, all the website colours are overridden. There used to be a choice.

Opening a new private window (via any method, keyboard shortcut or the button in the burger menu) will show the History sidebar for a very short while, then it disappears. This is very annoying as when I type the cursor is no longer automatically focused in the address bar.

I had to do a system restore to a couple of days ago. When it finished. The text in my tabs and toolbar became tiny, about 8pt instead of the 12pt that it used to be. What setting will make the text larger again like my menu bar?

Hello, so for the past several months now any time i set a custom theme to my firefox browser, it'll work *until* i close the browser and re-open it, the theme goes back to dark theme. its finally starting to get on my nerves, and i thought with an update or two it would fix itself, but nope.

i have tried changing the default from automatic to dark and back again, and nothing helps. i tried looking all over google for any help relating to this issue, but the only thing i can find relating to this issue old archived reddit post where the users seem to have resolved it back then, however none of the suggestions in the thread worked for me (probably because we're now several updates past that one in the thread). please help! its very annoying to have to go in and manually change the theme every singe time i open the browser, if the feature is there it should at the least work properly!

I have Firefox on two computer (plus my phone), both of them are running Linux Mint. On pc#1 Firefox behaves ok; on pc#2 instead it's abnormally zoomed in and it is very annoying to use. I am logged in with my Mozilla account on both devices, they have the same settings and Firefox is the only application displaying this behavior. If it matters, pc#1 has a bigger screen. I've attached a screenshot of the same page visualized on both devices as to show the difference.

hello after my update yesterday i have not my bookmarks on the left side automaticly. when open a browser site i must always click opinions etc to have it. so i made a recovery and it works again. in the future no updates unless you give me a instruction to have it further. kind regards mh

I want to ask the setting of theme.

If I don't set the theme, the color of window in private mode is dark (and I know I can change this setting on config.) The other hands, when I set Theme, the color for browser of private mode will be also changed the color of theme and it is same as default one.

I want to recognize which browser I'm using by the color of the window. I can do that if I don't set a theme. Is there any way to apply the theme only default browser or to apply different theme to private mode browser?

I like to have the Sidebar open all the time. Now with version 138, when I re-open Firefox the Sidebar is always closed.

How do I keep the Sidebar open in Firefox 138?

Any ideas?

After Update to 138.0 my sideabar (bookmarks) is away. I can reactivate the sidebar on the left side as wished. But when I open a new Firefos Window or Tab the sidebar ist away again. What have they done, mozilla ?? How can I get mey bookmarks ALWAYS shown on left side of any Window or tab ?

My sidebar kept disappearing when opening a new window. After asking the internet, I learned that this was part of the latest UI update. This is a horrible update (sorry programming team) because if you always want your sidebar to show up, all that extra stuff has to show up as well. See first image.

The second problem is that the Hide Sidebar button is too close to the Back button. I keep clicking on the Hide Sidebar button when I really want the Back button.

Is there a way to hide these controls? I know you can move them to the right, but then, so does your sidebar. I don't have a lot of screen real estate. Can we have an option to go back to the "classic" settings for sidebars?

By the way... In the previous versions of Firefox, I was able to click on a link (example: Google search) and my sidebar (in my case with my bookmarks) was always there in the new window or tab. Now when I click on a link, the sidebar with my bookmarks disappears in the new window. I have to keep enabling it if I want to see my bookmarks. I'm 100% sure that this is causing frustration with over 87% of Firefox users. Can we please bring back that old functionality?

The little button, top right of screen, between - and x is not working to reduce the screen window size. I don't like the window opening to cover the entire screen. I cannot access any edges to reduce the window.

Hello, I've updated my Nvidia graphics driver and encountered this issue. Basically I noticed it on twitch.tv mainly, bottom of my website is hidden behind taskbar, as if firefox thinks I have the automatically hiding taskbar setting enabled, which I never used. I've tried deleting some json file from %appdata% which has not helped, tried reinstalling firefox, running in troubleshoot mode,disabling hardware acceleration and nothing helped. Here are screenshots of how it looks fullscreen and how it should look, as you can see the bottom section is missing. Thanks in advance

When I move the pointer up to a tab, and accidently go to high, this top bar appears on MacOS 15.4.1 - I'm running FireFox 138.0.1 - so I would like to know how to stop this behaviour, and or a plugin or fix to move the close, maximize, minimize button to the left of the tabs, like one Chrome.
