I have physical limitations and need to use middle mouse button to scroll.

However, in Firefox, middle mouse button to scroll is interrupted whenever the mouse hovers over a hyperlink or linked object -- and, fun fact, there are A LOT of links on the Internet, so this equates to a very janky and sub-optimum experience, in my personal use-case.

How can I make it so that the middle mouse button functionality is not hijacked by mouse-over context? I've already tried/disabled middle-mouse-button-click-to-open-link-in-new-tab.

I want to clear data but the only option FF is offering is with cookies. I want to delete all but cookies.

Here it only says Cookies AND Site Data. But I want Site Data without Cookies. Can I somehow manually delete those files? Or manually selectively empty some tables in SQLite databases that FF uses? If yes then what files/databases exactly?

Firefox quit working. when I click on the Icon on my computer desktop I get the following pop-up window. Windows cannot find ‘C:\Program Files\Mozilla FirefoxFirefox.exe’

Youtube has this issue the most. On any other browser YouTube works fine; however, on firefox, videos sutter, play at a very low FPS and if I try to interact with the page like pause the video, it takes somewhere between 5 to 20 seconds for the site to respond and actually pause the video.

This happens on other websites as well that have interactive features

Additionally, when on sites like discord or LinkedIn, if a video starts playing and I pause it the audio will continue playing and loop and overlap over itself. The only way it will stop is if I refresh the site.

I have tried updating my video drivers, reinstalling them, changing all the settings possible on my computer to make it work but nothing yet. Thanks for the help.

In the last 4 days Firefox is constantly freezing on the Tile Pages of multiple streaming sites. It becomes non-responsive, and won't let me reload or use the Home button. I have tried turning off hardware acceleration and clearing the cache and I still have the same issue.

I use Firefox on my Asus laptop running Windows 10. It's one of these laptops with both integrated and dedicated graphics (Intel plus Nvidia).

I often experience this issue when putting a video in full-screen (especially when viewing trailers on Steam, but this may just be because I mainly use my Windows laptop for gaming, and thus most of my video consumption here is from steam). This screen will briefly (for less than one second) turn black and audio will pause before the video appears in full-screen, and playback resumes normally.

It "feels" like a GPU switch is taking place, I'd assume from the integrated graphics to the GeForce card. This is not the proble. The issue appears when I return from full-screen mode. I always have several Command Prompts open with SSH connections to my Linux server and sometimes my MacBook Pro. These windows are now empty. That is, all text is gone, and I can no longer interact with the sessions. They're not "broken," as in they're not saying "Not responding" and don't ask to be forcefully closed, they're just black windows with borders around them. All I can do is close them all down and open new ones to reconnect and start over from where I think I remember I was.

I should note that this doesn't ONLY happen with Firefox videos going into full-screen, it has also happened after launching a game and returning to the desktop. This strengthens my belief that this has to do with GPU switching and/or video "mode" change(s).

Assuming I'm correct (my IQ is 5,000 and I do do the very big brians), is there any way to control how videos go into full-screen in Firefox? Or "lock it" to a specific GPU? I've rummaged through about:config and haven't seen anything that seems directly relevant.

I've already tried using the Windows settings to tell the system that Firefox.exe should use the integrated Intel graphics only, but this has no effect.

I remember I used to use "Media Player Classic" many years ago, and it had a slew of options of how to render full-screen video. IIRC, it had stuff like "Overlay," "Windowed," "Windowed borderless," "DirectX," etc. This make me wonder if there's multiple ways of chosing how to render video in full-screen, then maybe one could direct Firefox to use a different one than the default and my problem might disappear? Or maybe one could tell Windows that if an app wants to go into full-screen video mode, Windows should pick a specific mode for it?

I'm not a Windows developer, so I don't know :) But I'm hoping someone has a good tip, because I'm finding myself using this system more and more, and this is my biggest problem with it currently.

Ever since the update Firefox has been taking at least 10-15 minutes to load. The when it does finally load, I can't always get a webpage to load...at least not for another 10 minutes.

I restarted the computer, cleared the cache and cookies, disabled all extensions...nothing helped. This happened the last time Firefox updated. At the time I just stopped System Mechanic from interfering and it worked easily again. This time it isn't System Mechanic, it doesn't seem to be the extensions....what now?

Is there a way or an add-on that can reload all broken images with one click?

It's too tiring to use the "Reload Image" context menu on each broken image, and sometimes some images are covered by some other controls that make the context menu even not work.

WTF?! You guys do not even have a technical support category?!?!??!

The latest update has broken ebay.com.au. It works fine in private mode. It WILL NOT WORK in troubleshooting mode. Works fine in other browsers on the same Windows 10 PC. Ive also tried disabling addons and extensions, and even Pocket, as well as browsing protection (the shield icon). It just sits there saying "transferring data from ".... the next bit varies, but usually says ebay.com.au, or sometimes a different page, but it NEVER COMPLETES.

I get that it might have trouble with unusual code, but WTF is with firefox not working with EBAY?!

scroll bars cover website-widgets (check boxes) (110.0.1 64-Bit)!! e.g., when trying to activate a checkbox at the right edge (Amazon, marking an item to cancel an order) that is not possible because the firefox scrollbar (right side) covers the Amazon checkbox, so it is impossible to mark it, and so the order cannot be cancelled!

This is an unacceptable malfunction!!

(OTOH, on MSEdge, the scrollbar sits to the right of the checkboxes without ever covering them, so it's obvious that this is specific Firefox malfunction!!!)

Prior to recent updates, Firefox tabs that were opened from a link on a webpage would always open right next to the current tab. Which was fine and wonderful. Sadly, following recent version updates new tabs opened from links now tend to 'wonder' off to the far end of whatever other links may have also been opened previously from that site. The problem with this new behaviour is that such tabs quickly become lost amongst the various branches of the tree as other links are opened in 'child' tabs of links that have gone before. In short, this new behaviour results in a complete confusing mess, especially as the newly opened tabs may end up so far off to the right that it's difficult to find the way back to the page they were opened from! Please could you at least provide an option so the user can set new links to open right next to the current tab, as they used to do, rather than some no doubt logical but nonetheless baffling and impractical location some 6, 21 or even more tabs away from the current tab. Hi. When I play YouTube videos, the videos always misses the first few seconds ( about 3). I had this problem from 6 months ago.

It looks like someone has cropped all the videos. I have reloaded the video and place the video cursor at very beginning without results..

I would appreciate any help. Tank You
