Observed:

I use Firefox 133 on Mint 22, I have 2 browser profiles. When I access Atlassian Confluence (any confluence page under atlassian.net), the page content is loaded, but then disappears and I get the following error at the top of the page: "This page was in the background for too long and may not have fully loaded. Try to refresh the page"

This only happens in one browser profile: in the other, all the pages open correctly and quickly. When I open a private tab using the problematic browser profile, again all the pages open correctly.

I have tried clearing all atlassian.net and atlassian.com cookies and data from the browser privacy settings, disabling all extensions, restarting the browser, even restarting the computer, but to no effect.

Expected: Confluence pages should open using any browser profile.

Reproducibility: 20+ out of 20+ attempts

Workarounds:

Temporarily use the other browser profile or a private tab, although that way I don't have the benefit of using browser history and if I kill the browser while using private tabs, private tabs will not be restored, so I lose track of what I was working on. I could use a different browser for confluence, but that has the same history problem and is generally senseless: Confluence should work correctly using any browser.

Notes:

I have seen similar issues 3-4 times before with Confluence, but it was always due to extensions, so disabling the problematic extension or configuring it to ignore anything related to Atlassian was sufficient. I would report this to Atlassian, but they'll just say "it works with a blank browser, so it's not our bug" and they're probably right. There's some kind of Atlassian-related state being preserved in the problematic browser profile, but I can't pinpoint it, so any help there is welcome.

We use Firefox to check our bank accounts. For that last 24 hours, we are stopped at a page that says Firefox cannot connect due to security problems. Does anybody know what's going on?

I have donated to Mozilla Foundation in the past and will gladly do so again once a vexing issue has been resolved. I am using the latest Firefox version for Mac.

While using the updated Mozilla Firefox recently I find that allthewordsItypesticktogetherlikethis when I try to search for something. It can also happen when I type emails using Firefox. So I often have to change back to Safari.

Also, I notice that with the updated Firefox version, a mysterious blue square appears around the text I am working on.

Do you have any suggestions or instructions as to how to stop the annoyingjoingingtogether of words from happening? Please help!

After a recent update to Firefox 133.0.3 (on Ubuntu GNU/Linux 22.04), Firefox is having difficulty connecting to websites and exhibiting some other odd behavior:

- After initially starting Firefox, it will load websites (e.g., previously open tabs) for up to 30 seconds. After that, it will not load any website in a new tab, showing the loading animation for several seconds before stopping all activity and just displaying an hourglass icon in the tab. These sites can be connected to in other web browsers. - After closing Firefox, its process is still running; I have to manually find its pid and kill it. - If I start Firefox from the terminal, I see these messages when it starts having trouble loading websites:

i AM RECEIVING EMAILS ALL DAY LONG FROM SECUREDJOINTNETWORK TELLING MY SYSTEM IS INFECTED.. MY SECURITY PREVENTS THAT i WANT THESE NOTICES STOPPED, BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT.

I have an account with the site, https://www.thecalendarcreator.com . It is a software that creates calendars for the present and future years. I have turned off Enhanced Tracking for the site (that worked for another site of theirs that I joined). Some functions work, many do not work correctly, if at all.

My computer is a Mac, v 10.13.6, so it's getting old. I have contacted thecalendarcreator.com support, and they can't find anything wrong on their end. They have suggested that perhaps it's some sort of anti-virus setting on my end. I've been looking at my Settings, but I'm no techie, so I don't know what to do. I would greatly appreciate your help, so I can hopefully get this site to work.

The scouting association have updated their members website to membership.scouts.org.uk. This works, but from there is a link to my learning.scouts.co.uk. Sometimes this works but often I get "bad request, error 400". I've had to move to Edge when using this website. I didn't want to! I've used Firefox for years

Working on setting up a new PC build. I've had to use some PC support website chats and many of them have just not acted right? For example, one would allow me to start a chat but then sent me directly to closing the chat like we were finished. The others would lock up my Firefox many times. Anything come to mind as to why this is happening? Windows 11 Pro v24H2 and latest Firefox version.

12/12/24 - netflix says i need to upgrade firefox browser in order to watch vis, but running MOST current version (115.18.0esr). Mac OS 10.12.6 . need help fixing issue. thanks
