I have a question regarding syncing. Is there a way to remotely remove all synced information from Firefox on a particular PC without actually accessing it? For example, if I sync my home PC Firefox with my laptop or my work PC. Then, one day, for some reason I no longer have access to my work PC, and all of my sensitive information is there. Or if I lose my laptop, or if it is stolen... Is it possible to remove all sensitive information from a remote synced PC? Alternatively, is there a way to remove all synced information every time I close the browser? This way I can remove a particular PC in my Firefox account and once the browser is restarted at the remote location, the data will no longer be pulled and synced. Can this be done? I have ad block, popup blocker and youtube enhancer extensions installed, but either they are breaking youtube, and other video sites I use or they've been disabled. I've had to disable the adblockers just to be able to watch youtube. They work on the video after it starts if I re-enable them, but not on the annoying ads outside the video. But the popup blocker just keeps getting disabled no matter how many times I re-enable it. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I saved my login information for several accounts in the Firefox (desktop) built-in password manager. Then I got Firefox on my phone, found out passwords aren't protected as well on the mobile version, so I turned off sync then removed them from my phone. Later I turned sync back on thinking that it would just sync my tabs and, if it did do anything with passwords, it would copy my logins from my computer to my phone instead of removing them from my computer. That was yesterday, today I needed one of those passwords (randomly generated so I don't remember it) so I went to my saved logins on desktop and they were all gone. Is there any way to recover them?

I recently updated my system (OpenSuse15.4) which included a Firefox update to version 109.0.

I regularly use my mic for google voice, however even though I can select my microphone in Google voice, It never shows any input.

I tested my mic in other apps and it works fine. When I pull up my systems pulse audio volume control (pavucontrol), it does not show firefox in the recording tab like it used to when using Google Voice.

To test to see if it was a Google Voice error, I also tried testing my mic at https://mictests.com/, and zoom.com, but after selecting my desired input device, mictests.com was also unable to record anything, and again, pavucontrol did not show anything being recorded.

I have attached an image of pavucontrol that shows audacity recording audio. Normally, I would also see Firefox in this window when using the mic.

Recently, my windows crashed and when the PC restarted and I opened mozilla I noticed two thinngs - first all of my extensions were disabled and I didn't have my Firefox theme, and then I noticed that I don't have any of my saved passwords anymore ( I was also disconnected from my mozilla account and had to login ). I noticed that I still had all my extensions installed but they were all disabled. I did however have all my bookmarks. Do you know what could've happened and is there a way I can restore my saved passwords ?

When using a site with a drop down feature, the options are not showing up. Canadapost.ca allows you to search for postal codes and will provide options as you put in the address. This feature is not working in Firefox but does work in Microsoft Edge.

after, could not "run" my firefox reinstalled firefox x 64 still could not run actually, it did not even build the firefox folder i thought it would under c:\program files/mozilla firefox so, i created folder there called Firefox2, and copied the firefox installer program there, and executed still, no "build" in folder, but has a Firefox icon, but still wont execute

I'm trying to modify various userChrome.css attributes of Tabs in Firefox 109.

However, code that worked in FF 88 is seemingly no longer working.

Is the below code outdated?

I would also like to change the appearance of #TabsToolbar from translucent to either a solid color or a background image. Is that possible? Right now, you can see icons from the desktop through the Tab bar, and there appears to be a strange curved, black overlay colorizing it. See attached screenshot.

About 50% of the time an article on the Substack site will not load fully. Either the text loads and images do not, or the page loads not at all. I do not have this issue using Edge. I am using Firefox 109.0 on Windows 10. Thank you.

My Firefox browse is frequently unable to log into many financial sites, most importantly my Scotia bank. this happens almost every week or 2 and I am forced to use Microsoft edge or Chrome which log in fine. This can sometimes happen as frequently as once a week or it will go 2-3 weeks without problems. Is this a Firefox issue or are 3 banks, 1 credit union, Credit Bureau, government and medical sites all to blame?

Disable auto https button doesn't work. I'm still getting error messages when trying to access web sites using only "http". Edge and Chrome still connect to "http". thx

On my computer, I run Mageia Cauldron with a GNOME environment. After a recent update of my system, both Firefox and Thunderbird have stopped working. They crash constantly when I try to launch either of them. In both cases, when I try to launch them from the command line, I get the following message: ATTENTION: default value of option mesa_glthread overridden by environment. For basic info, my system is: OS: Linux Mageia Cauldron Environment: GNOME Shell 43.1 Display server: X11 Kernel: 6.1.8-desktop-1.mga9 x86_64 Firefox: 102.7.0esr Thunderbird: 102.6.1

Looking around, it seems to be a bug with Firefox and Thunderbird, but besides waiting for a new update that might fix itself, I wonder if there is something I can do to make them work now.

About three months ago, I changed the AO3 site skin to the Low Vision option, because I wanted to see if I could fix the then minor issue of not being able to see bold with my screen-reader, NVDA, when reading fics on the site. Some of the bold I knew to be there because I had personally put it in.

When I changed the skin, I was dismayed to find I could not only still not see bold, but I could no longer see italics with NVDA either. The AO3 sidebar menu was also tucked away behind a dropdown button, but I could open that up and get to the controls, so I didn't mind that so much. The formatting, however, posed a real problem, since italics are used for, among other things, emphasis, telepathic speech, and the speech of Pokémon in fanfics featuring humans who can understand Pokémon. So I definitely wanted this problem fixed.

I thought I could simply change the site skin back, but to my further dismay, switching back to the Default skin did not restore my former view of the site's pages. I began trying other things, seeking advice from other tech-savvy acquaintances after I'd exhausted all the possible fixes I could think of to no effect. Here is a list of everything I've already tried:

• As mentioned before, changing the site skin back with the buttons on the site
• Soft/Hard-Refreshing the page.
• Logging out of and back into my AO3 account to artificially end the session.
• Restarting the computer, and NVDA, by extension.
• Disabling each of the three extensions I have in Firefox, just in case one of them had caused the issue.
• Viewing the site while logged out to see if that made a difference.
• Cleared browser cache, and when that failed to help, also cleared specifically the AO3 cookies.
• Created a clean Firefox profile with no settings changed and no extensions added, pasted url of one of the pages I was using as a test into the address bar. Still no formatting visible.
• Viewed page in Incognito mode.
• Briefly thought I had a solution when I found the Page Styles submenu in the View menu, set the page to No Style. Got my old sidebar back, but not the formatting, and lost even that change after a refresh. Not ideal solution.
• Downloaded the portable version of Firefox, opened it and pasted in a url again. Still no formatting.
• Reluctantly, opened AO3 in Google Chrome. Could see all the formatting with NVDA when logged out, and when I logged in, could still see the formatting.

I also discovered Reader View while testing some of these things, and this allowed me to read the text of a fic or chapter with all its formatting, but that view doesn't include the Author's Notes, or the comments, and that sacrifices some of the nuance of those because I don't see the emphasis on any words/phrases without the formatting.

I have contacted the AO3 support team, but they are just as confused as I am and don't know what could have happened. They say they haven't changed anything on the site that they could pinpoint as causing this problem.

I have tried asking on the BlindTech email list I'm subscribed to, which is where I was given the link to Portable Firefox, but I have exhausted all their ideas as well, some of which were included in the above list.

Now I come to you. Please, if you can shed any light on what might have caused this problem, I would deeply, sincerely appreciate it.

Is there any way to get tab names listed on troubleshooting info of anykind? I don't think you can do anything with windows task-manager but can anything be done with FF internal task-manager? I'm not a programmer so trying to make sense out of what I read, I hate to say but I have no clue :( what im reading most of the time. And when im trying to track it down to a particular tab it is impossible! As far as I can tell, it doesn't even show most of my tabs. Its bad enough when the 2 task-managers show different info. Amazon Prime Video website has major issues, memory (like taking up GB's of memory) and freezing while it sorts out the memory, upto several minutes if FF doesn't crash. If I close the tab with most memory sometimes it closes the Prime tab and FF goes on, other times I don't know what it closes and the whole browser shuts down. I run Nightly and is kept up to date.

I have a laptop running Windows 10, plus the latest version of Firefox. The laptop has a built-in webcam. I have also connected an external webcam via USB. This second camera is better quality and preferred, I visit a web site. When I first activate the camera, I am presented with a dropdown of available cameras. The USB camera appears in the list. All is fine. I instruct Firefox to "allow" this camera to be used. (first image) However, after a short time, less than a second, the same dialog is shown again, this time without the USB camera. (second image) There have been no actual hardware changes. I can then click "allow" again and the *integrated* camera works, i.e. not the desired camera. So, two questions, really. First, what just happened? Did Firefox try to control the USB camera, find that it couldn't, and redisplay the dialog showing only the "controllable" option? Second, my desired endpoint here is for the web site to use the USB camera. How do I achieve this? I can easily do this with Chrome but I like Firefox. TIA.
