 Since some days I have the problem that all files I download from outlook are accompanied by a preceding UTF-8 in the file name. This is not the case for e.g. google chrome. Can I fix this problem by myself, or is it a general problem of firefox 128.9esr (64-bit)?

Sat. 04/19/2025 @9:10 am CDT - Hi. About 2 months ago on any Settings page, FF began to show "your browser is being managed by your organization." The problem is - it's a STANDALONE box, not connected to any network beyond my ISP. I do own websites but I'm not perpetually logged into the host company, so their switch to Microsoft Entra wouldn't have an effect, I would think.

What settings do I change to make FF know that I'm not on a network? Thanks in advance.

While i was trying to search indeed for a job the site started having a glich loading . I'm not sure if that the best term but doesn't fully load. I have had this issue at least 6x in past five years on default firefox setting and if i changed a few to make more secure . When i use other browser that are not firefox based it is fine . It happens on librewolf as well

So, I had an issue updating Firefox where it went into a loop... twice, and ended up re-downloading the Installer both times to force the update onto Firefox. Eventually, when it happened again a while after I restarted my computer, I managed to get it updated normally (after a tiny bit of prodding), without the need to re-download the Installer. But now, I have two additional copies of the Installer on my computer. What should I do? Should I delete the two extra Installer files, or should I not?

I can see them all, and well organized, in the "backstage", when I click on manage bookmarks. Can you help me get them on the home page?

Bookmarks do not load, I created new ones in Edge, backup bookmarks and uninstalled Fire fox. reinstalled and import new. same error

Firefox erased ALL mybookmarks when it updated now I can't get them back

The last update Firefox erased all my bookmarks. It's completely empty. I had 30+ bookmarks. How do I get them back? Thanks.

Firefox recently offered a choice of having open tabs appear in a sidebar on the left side. This is great but the tabs and sidebar stay visible when engaging the f11 full screen mode. This makes an awkward appearance when trying to view in full screen - such as movies or any other. The address bar at the top is hidden with f11, but the side tabs and their vertical side bar remain visible. I believe Firefox would be more desirable if the f11 key also hid the side bar. This is how Microsoft's Edge browser functions. Can't have a true full screen if the sidebar and tabs remain visible. The full screen functions works well if the sidebar function is turned off in settings but this makes it awkward for a user who wishes to use the sidebar tabs with a full screen mode. Thank you for considering this issue and thank you for your great products. Tom

On 10/3/24 Mozilla wrote in a KB: "Mozilla will provide security updates for Firefox 115 ESR until at least March 2025, when the position will be re-evaluated."

According to "https://data.firefox.com/dashboard/hardware", over 7.5% of Firefox users are currently using Windows 7. Will Mozilla extend the end of support for 115 ESR again or will it end next month?
