Is it possible to initiate the same process that discovers the server setting when you add an email account in an already existing email account to avoid making changes in the account manually??

When I try to log into sync with firefox, I get asked for an email code rather than the 2fa totp token I normally use. When I use the code I've been emailed I get an error that says "Bad Request". I can't log in on either of my computers. I've attached the error.

I submitted this as a bug report but I will also submit this here to see if anyone has any information or a solution.

After resetting my password, none of my sync data from before the install is there. Only the sync data from my laptop, but even on my laptop it no longer lists my old computer, it is as if my PC from before the new OS has simply been deleted from the sync logs. In fact, my sync logs only go back to the moment I changed my password. I am not sure how to proceed as it appears that there aren't even any traces of my sync from before this point.

It would be nice if I could get the old tabs I had open on my desktop before I changed my OS, but it's not exactly a "world ending" situation.

Hi, I am in the process of changing all my accounts to my new email. However in the Firefox Sync settings, there does not seem to be a way to update my primary email address (no button beside the email). I can only add a secondary email, which is not what I want. Is there a way for me to update the primary email?

I recently updated to Firefox 131.0.3, having signed out of my Firefox/Mozilla account. Now I am trying to sign back in. After a seemingly successful sign-in (with email and pw, followed by "authorization code"), I'm taken to my account page. Scrolling down to Connected Services, I can see a recognizable account name (my Windows 11 user name and the name I've assigned to my computer). But looking up at the account button at the top right of Firefox, I see a small yellow triangle. Clicking on the button, I'm told "Account disconnected." (Remember, I'm currently looking at my account page, which says I'm connected.)

So I try to log in again. I give email address and password, and authorization code, and I'm in again. Now I see an addtional account connected, "Firefox 131, Windows 10" (remember, I'm using Windows 11).

So looking up again to the upper right at the account button, I see the yellow triangle, and clicking tells me once more that I'm disconnected, even though I have my account page open in front of me.

All of this, of course, prevents me from having access to the sync function. I've been through this circle several times with the same strange results.

Anyone have any idea what' going on.

I have a problem with my primary email. I cannot send out or receive. I'm working with my provider but no resolution as of yet. They did check my settings at the provider level but said everything looks good. I've thoroughly checked and rechecked all my email settings and am unable to see a problem. I'm thinking that since I am not signed into my browser (Mozilla Firefox) with it telling me my account is disconnected that I need to Sync my account, but I cannot do that.

So, I have been trying to Sync my Mozilla account but being I have a problem with email I am unable to receive your email code to completely sign into my Mozilla account. What I am wanting to do is to sign into my account and add a secondary email address so to receive your sign in code so that I am able to finish syncing my account.

I am lost to know what to do from here! You will be unable to reply to me using my regular primary email address because as I say, I cannot send or receive, so how can you even help me? Please help me somehow! I'm sure you have my phone number being I would think it's on my account. Can you phone me? Hopefully! Not sure whether I should put a phone number or the added secondary email address in here so you can add it for me. I can't sign into Mozilla to do anything. I went through my Google account to get this far so to hopefully send this to you. Your help would surely be appreciated! No changes been made to my Mozilla account unless Mozilla banned me for constructive criticism yesterday. Earlier today Oct 4, 24 booted up laptop no issues. 3 hours later from cold start issue.

My version of FF 131.0 updated yesterday indicates I'm not signed in. Repeated sign-in attempts successful only to be disconnected seconds later. No issues logging into Mozilla Monitor to see progress and navigate around without disconnection. On Android 11 cell phone no issues, on Asus tablet Android 7.0 no issues. What am I doing wrong or missing? See attached screen shots and browser data.

How do I change the google account that Firefox visits first? Context: I have my work email set up for sync, but whenever I go to any google specific site or tool (Calendar, gmail, docs, etc.) it defaults to my personal account instead of my work account.

How do i keep my work browser seperate from my home browser account. This week they got mixed up and now i only have my work firefox. I lost all my bookmarks on my home firfox.

I just swapped to a new PC and logged into my Firefox account but it keeps disconnecting me and says account is disconnected and I need to re login to connect. I re login and the issue continues again and again. Any ideas?
