Everything was fine until about an hour ago. Suddenly over half My tabs quit working. Either the display is weird and all text, or the page is blank, or there is a small "broken image" icon in the upper left... A few tabs are working fine. On X I get a notice saying, "Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com."

I tried turning off tracking (which was NOT "strict!!!"), and that did not fix the problem.

What is going one????

I realize Facebook doesn't have a spell check feature,but is there a way my browser, Firefox, which I already have spell check enabled can somehow spell check Facebook when I chat? Can someone help? Thank you.

I have this problem CONSTANTLY with 100.0. i keep 2 browsers open, (1 Email, 1 ebay) After 5-10 minutes, firefox "Loses" internet connection. and i have to clear the startup cache, to get back online, only for it to happen again... and again, and again, and again! Didnt have this issue with the previous update. PLEASE HELP! and please keep the answers simple, im not well versed in programming language

A friend has passed away and I cannot access her obituary page. I could for a couple of days but I can't any more. Is this a problem with the FF latest upgrade? The page is [link removed by moderator]

I do not want her obituary page made public on a forum in case it causes inappropriate comments.

I have just discovered the page works ok on Chrome so I will use that for now, but I am reporting the problem to try and help you. I am using latest version of Firefox.

I have added a screen snip of the part-loaded page.

I just followed the button below about extra troubleshooting information and lost all the information I had typed into this box, which irritates me as well.

Hi, when I log into my bank I give my account number and then a password. I have told firefox not to remember my password but it is remembering the bank account number which automatically pops up when I am on the banks log in page. How do I stop this? Also when I signed up for this firefox help it asked for an email address and all my email addresses poped up for me to chose from. I didn't like this either. Appreciate any help. If these features can't be turned off whats the last version I can use that won't do this? cheers Neil

I have been using Firefox 56.0.2 on Windows 7 for years safely. Until yesterday. We had one of those mini powerouts, that caused problems.

My hard drive is failing and Firefox will no longer fully load, it tries bless it, but some FF files must be in the damaged sectors of the hard drive. It then locks the system. Using Chrome works fine. But some logins/passwords/bookmarks had to be changed very recently and are not stored in the chrome browser yet. I hate chrome so use FF as the main browser.

I'm thinking that if I can install a fresh copy of FF 56.0.2 in a separate folder, a separate 2nd copy of FF, and then copy yesterday mornings backed up FF profile (before the crash) I could at least copy over all the bookmarks etc to Chrome so I can have my logins etc back.

This mornings backup failed to backup some FF files, all others were fine. Firefox worked fine yesterday but failed to launch this morning.

Please help save my sanity. I know I have to move to W 10, but cannot on this computer.

I had two Firefox windows open. One had 100+ tabs open, the other had around 5 open. Like a klutz I accidentally closed the window with the 100+ tabs open instead of the other window. Now when Firefox restarts it opens the version with the 5 tabs.  :-( I read about lost tabs in Firefox. I have found a file with the 100+ tabs in it. It is called: upgrade.jsonlz4-20221007134813. But what do I do next to restore Firefox to restart with the 100+ tabs version? Thanks.

Firefox crashes whenever I paste something in search bar. Even if its one word only. It has been like 3 months now and no help. It even crashes in troubleshooting mode. I have reinstalled and refreshed, but it helped only for a day.

I am under a disaster with todays mess of firefox, even on chrome now to try here to get some help. I am having to redo my pc OS etc and I am needing to swap over my app data to the temporary backup pc. I know how to do that but it won't even let me start firefox as it is an older version. I install a newer version and that is one of the new version disasters I hate. I have no time to figure out how to make it look to where it is usable. I got the old pc running and found the version it had. I install that, which is an esr but it still gives me the same problem. I need my firefox working so I can use it with my original tabs and bookmarks. Or you can be like some and tell me to just go elsewhere as a fix for the mess which is todays firefox. I used to have about zero of these kind of problems. How do I get myself to my original setup on the temp pc?

The little image shown will appear and float on the left bottom of pages I open including secure pages that require me to log in to enter. That little stick man I consider a security threat and have tried to get rid of it to no avail.

The picture I captured of it was when it was on blue background. If on white background, just the circle with the stick man in it.

How can I delete it?

Hi. I want to sync with my work pc (it used to work just fine but when I synced to a newer third pc- successfully- it just stopped). When i try to sign in on the work pc it asks me for the primary password which it then FAILS to recognise to allow me to proceed! What's going on? I can't even log onto sites with saved passwords anymore. Any help appreciated.

On a number of occasions over the years, I have been unable to log in to Thingspeak from my lap-top. Usually the problem goes away. This is stated as a problem with their security certificate. However, my tablet, also running Firefox (119.0.1) has no problem accessing my account. What is really the problem? I am running Windows 7 on my ancient lap-top (yes, I know it is way outdated, but I'm attached to it and rely on the security software I'm paying for) The tablet is running Android 8.1.0 and is my last resort for internet. Would really like to fix this.

I am using Firefox 108.0.2(32bit) on a Windows 7 computer. Within the last three weeks two sites Menards.com & aarp.org have become blocked by security rules: Menards by Incapsula & AARP by Imperva. All other websites I currently visit work fine as did these before. I've cleared cache and cookies and "forget these websites" in history. This solves the problem for the first page on Menards.com but any link-click and the problem returns. This also cleared the AARP website but I cannot log in to my account there nor access some of the other clickable links. I can access these websites fine on other computers on this network using Firefox. This computer will access those two sites using the portable chrome browser but not the installed Tor browser. This computer will not access these sites using a VPN or with AVG disabled. I've toggled a few DNS and HTTP settings with no effects. For a year, the only thing I noticed different from this computers and the others is that this one continues to allow Java to be updated whereas the others are unable to download its update. Could that be the problem? Why these are the only two websites that seem to be affected is the baffling part. Menards has thanked me but has not gotten back and AARP wants me to reinstall my operating system. Thanks for any help you may suggest.

I can't for the life of me understand what is going on with my browser. Everytime I try to watch a video that I have purchased I get this error message:

"Firefox is installing components needed to play the audio or video on this page. Please try again later."

I have tried searching for a solution but no avail. I have disabled and re-enabled DRM, bit it was a no go. I tried re-downloading firefox, still had the same issue. I created a new profile, still won't work! I have been searching for solutions constantly and tried so many but none seem to work. Finally someone suggested that I check my extensions and App data and I saw a sign that said:

"widevine decryption module provided by google inc. will be installed shortly"

but it has been almost a day and it still hasn't been installed. In advanced preferences I looked up widevine and saw this:
