I use cryptographic module PKCS#11 to browse some sites. I load corresponding xxx.dll file : Options>advanced>Certificates>SecurityDevices>Load . The PKCS#11 device appears in the Device Manager list of devices. I can Log in this PKCS#11 reader and view data. "OK", View Certificates - I view this certificate. "OK" and quit Options menu. If I close the FF browser, these settings was lost and I have to install them manually again. How to save these settings ?

I just signed up with my email address and noticed that my user name automatically became the local part of the mail address (localpart@domain). The user name cannot be changed.
That's a huge privacy issue because my account is forcibly named after my real name because of my email address. I do not want that to be public! I don't understand why this decision was made by Mozilla, when the first thing you see on firefox.com is the slogen: "And start getting the respect you deserve with our family of privacy-first products."
I know that I can change the display name, but you can still see my real name in the profile URL and on my profile page itself.
The "permissions" area of the settings doesn't let users input a site and manage it as it describes in the documentation.

I'm having an issue with google, I use google voice for making calls with my Mac using firefox version 69 (and 69.0.1) and until recently I was able to have firefox remember that I granted google permission to access my microphone. Now it asks every time I make a call and the microphone is accessed. The documentation says there should be a "remember this decision" box, but none exists. It also says I would be able to go into the permission settings and mark it as always allow, but that isn't an option either, just allow or block. The absence of the more permanent permissions is similar to other permission windows like for notifications and location sharing. There is a box to block future requests in the settings but that applies to all sites and it blocks instead of allows. What am I missing? I haven't made any recent changes to settings or extensions. Any information you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.

I have to do administration work in several Office.com tenants. When using Safari I am able to start a new private window, visit office.com and forced to provide login credentials. With this I can be logged in to multiple tenants at one time. This is expected behavior.
When I open a new private window (FireFox 69.0) and go to office.com the login credentials I am currently using are remembered from my previous private window, and I am already logged in to office.com in the new private window. This is not expected behavior.
If I understand things correctly every time I start a new private window I should be required to provide credentials each time I visit office.com for the first time in that new private window. Right?

I have removed a username on a certain website using Ctrl +i #Security. On Saved Logins on that tab "Autofill logins and passwords" is NOT selected yet, when I load the login page of that website, Firefox enters the old, discarded user name. I have used the "Manage Data" button on the about:preferences#privacy tab several times to remove "cookies and site data" for that website to no avail.

Hi and thanks in advance for any help. I've tried to designate Firefox as my privacy centered browser and use it on Facebook and so on. However, private mode has been very inconsistent. Occasionally when clicking open new private window Firefox will open in Private mode, but usually not. There is no indication it is private (no mask). When I go to Help, Restart with all addons disabled I still cannot get to a private window. If I do the refresh then all of the settings are reverted, but doesn't help.
Any foolproof steps for always browsing in private mode? Thank you.

Firefox remembers logons even when this option is not selected.
When I sign on to some sites, if I left click, my logon info appears. I have everything in privacy and security de selected. I do not have this issue in IE.

The prefill is more than just a prefilled form. I have attached an image of what comes up. It looks to me as if those sites are identifying my accounts at the server end. I have deleted everything in the storage section of the browser inspector application (another picture attached). I also activated a proxy to hide my ip address.

Firefox says that it is being managed by an organization, but this is my own computer, and when I click to see active policies there is nothing there.

But it has no mention of any settings being restricted, and when I clicked the notification to check the policy the page was entirely empty. I also checked the Firefox program folder and there wasn't any sign of an Autoconfic file that I could notice. One user mentioned on Reddit that this issue is often caused by antivirus companies forcefully inserting their own SSL certs to intercept your encrypted traffic, he then suggested turning off "web scanning" but my antivirus (which I only use Malwarebytes and Windows Defender) already had them disabled. After doing some research on my own I found out that the antivirus Avast used to cause this issue, and I had uninstalled Avast a while back, so I figured that the reason that the policy wasn't there was because Avast was uninstalled, but, I never saw this notification before today. So if anybody can help me pinpoint what this is and how remove it would be much appreciated. But all I really want to know if is this is something that I should be worried about or is it simply a bug. Also one other question is why the top sites and search bar is really close to the address bar after the latest update. Is this just a design change? Or is this something I need to be concerned about? Because I didn't notice this on Firefox on my laptop. Thanks in advance.

Users need to have the option to turn such notifications off, and between this and the fiasco you made blocking Adobe Flash, I am getting very close to shopping for a new browser.
