I opened my laptop out of sleep mode and it quickly reset itself, and when it loaded back up Firefox no longer worked. Everything was working fine prior to the reset, but now I can load any websites, nor do any of the menus within Firefox work. I keep clicking on the menu button in the top right, but nothing happens. The only thing that seems to work is the add-ons icon. I can click that and it navigates me to the add-ons page, and from there I can get in to my settings, but that's it.

No websites will load at all. I've already tried configuring my firewall to allow Firefox, and I've removed it and re-added it to my exceptions list, but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know what might be causing this, and what can be done to fix it?

I'm using Firefox with Google as my default search engine. When ever I try to type in the Google search box, what I am typing appears in the address bar. I want to search in the Google search box as it is at eye level for what I am doing. I have tried all sorts of ideas from the web to fix this but no joy. Does anyone know how I disable this? Thank you

I keep trying, but to no avail. Gmail works with Chrome on my PC. How can I fix this?

i am using firefox developer edition version 126.0b3 (64-bit) on linux mint with an x11 desktop and for some reason the drag and drop breaks frequently.

i think i have figured out how i can consistently recreate the bug as well as sort of fix it temporarily.

i start with a newly launched browser. everything works fine. but then if i attempt to drag and drop something shortly after i drag and dropped something else and it did the little animation where it returns to its original position, i find that i cant drag and drop anything FROM firefox to anywhere else. and i also cannot rearrage tabs.

it seems to fix itself whenever I drag something from another program TO firefox successfully such as text into a textbox, or a .html file into the window to view it.

I think with the update to 125, I no longer see the typical Windows window controls in the upper right - minimize, maximize, close - so I don't know how to do those things.

THe top right looks like this Mac-based image (where those buttons are on the upper left) but I'm running on Windows so I don't have the dot buttons on top left nor the Windows style min/max/close at top right.

What do I need to do to get them back?

I have Windows 11 and the Firefox 124.0.2 browser. I cannot update to the latest version of Firefox. I receive an error message "Failed to update". I've uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, ran the install utility selecting update, nothing seems to work. Please help

I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and restarted my computer but it still will not load. When i first reinstall it it comes up but will not connect to the intenet.

In Proton Mail, when I receive an email with an picture attached inline, I get the following error message: "Your browser could not verify the remote server's identity. The image might be hosted using the http protocol." Is this issue with settings in Proton or Firefox? How do I fix this? See image below. Thank you.

I recently got a new computer. Installed firefox onto it. Brought over my profile with all my data and bookmarks. But for the life of me, the page would just sporadically flicker. I tried messing with the settings; performance settings; hardware acceleration. I tried refreshing firefox. But nothing.

I am no longer able to view my Pinterest account via FIrefox. The page is blank and can't see any of my pins. Sometimes, I can't even log in to the account. I have contacted Pinterest and they don't know what the issue is. I have cleared cache, removed extensions etc but nothing seems to work. I don't have this issue with Google chrome or Microsoft edge. I only have this issue with Firefox. Why is that??

Hi I am a longtime user of your browser. I have version 124.0.2(64 bit) installed on three devices. First thing I do on opening it is to click on "about", which normally updates the browser, before I do any browsing. In the last three weeks, however, it has not updated on any of the three devices, rather, it says "Failed to check for updates". I have tried the workarounds suggested at your Help center, and nothing has worked. What gives, may I ask? Thank you

I have an iMac with Sonoma 14.3.1 with Firefox 115.9.1 esr . It is for personal use, not for a business. I just learned that there is another Firefox version (124.0.2) which is not esr....

Which version should I use and why?

If I should use the "normal" version, how do I replace the esr version with the "normal" one ?

something apparently got corrupted in firefox.. i tried running update and i keep getting failed to update.. i have refreshed.. i have uninstalled and reinstalled ...nothing. i am sure there is a folder or file somewhere that is corrupted and i cannnot find it. because even when i uninstall and reinstall fresh. all my bookmarks are there .. how to i start a TRUE NEW install??

I've had an ongoing issue with Firefox now for several months since upgrading to windows 11. When I try to copy text, or images, url's or anything really that is supposed to go to the clipboard, it copies a blank text with no data instead. I can copy text and images from other programs and even paste them into text fields on Firefox but I can't copy from Firefox to anything else and it's frustrating.

I recently got forced into upgrading Outlook in windows and hated it so I started using Thunderbird and surprisingly, I have the exact same issue there as well.

I really want to get this fixed and working, I don't want to have to switch to another browser =/.

I am on a MacBook Pro with Sonoma 14.4, and the lastest version of Firefox. The YouTube website will not load. It looks like the attached screen shot. I can access the site with other browsers. I can play a YouTube video with Firefox if I have a link, but I cannot see the rest of the page - just the video itself.
