This message is appearing every time that I open Firefox. If I have the last version for my OS, which I admit is an old version but I can't afford to spend $1000+ to upgrade all the software on my computer for a new OS Version. Money that I don't have! (The OS is low or no cost but everybody wants money for an upgrading the other software I have, and need, on my computer. Plus I'd have to spend hours of my time getting all of that software setup and running, which isn't free. (No I don't bill myself for that time, but I can't do the other things that I need to be doing when I'm futzing around with resetting up my computer. For a computer that is over 5 years old it might not be cost effective to install a new OS.)

This is my first time posting and I'm still new to a almost all of the concepts I'll be trying to outline, so please let me know if clarification is needed (and just as a forewarning, I may need to ask follow-up questions as I'm still learning!)

I recently created a second Firefox profile to separate work from personal and found an article about running them simultaneously. I have done that with success through creating two "apps" through using the "run shell script" in Automator on my mac (with the -no-remote command on the end) Here is what one looks like (with profile name "TheFirst"): http://screencast.com/t/4CsFTvexIl0f

I was successfully able to assign custom icons to each app/shortcut and dragged each into the dock: http://screencast.com/t/P228JmUVaI1 (the one on the right is the second profile).

What I cannot figure out is if it's possible to make it such that after clicking on either to launch Firefox, those icons are used. At the moment another generic Firefox icon appears. This screenshot is with both profiles open (so two Firefox icons): http://screencast.com/t/IZYQyjfz

Is it possible to have the custom icons be "active" as well? I've tried searching for this, but it's a rather difficult thing to find narrow/specific enough search terms for it seems.

Please let me know if there is more information I can provide that would be of help. It looks like my Firefox version and OS are already included.

I am loosing the ability to read various websites in their newest form ex: Wayfair and NYReview of books. They appear in a weird configuration without pics and in an improper(?) format. Is this due to the inability to upgrade Adobe?

Every so often, bits of music, voices, and other noises just keep coming up. I have now turned the computer sound OFF, but of course I do sometimes want to actually listen to something. Any idea why this happens? Thanks.

The information below says that Java applet shows. I have tried very hard to eliminate java, which seems to totally screw up my computer system. It is possible that some form of it is hidden somewhere.

From the 'Launch Pad' clicked on icon for Weather.com, and the above error appears under 'Missing Web Runtiime Files '. I checked & have the latest 49.01 version of Firefox & also ran a 'Health Report'....any solutions?

Google Sheets sans serif text appears as serif. This does not occur in Chrome or Safari on my company-managed laptop (Mac OS X 10.10.5). I'm on Firefox ESR 52.5.0. Are there caches I can clear?

Hi. I have downloaded and installed the latest Adobe flashplayer and told "Manage Plug-ins" to allow it to run and to "remember this decision," but https://www.nytimes.com/crosswords/game/kenken still won't load.

I just closed the browser and re-opened it, and checked the "Manage PLug-ins" button, and once again it has not saved the instruction to allow Adobe to run on the site.

The site still works fine with Safari.

This is really annoying. What am I missing?
