Shockwave Flash was causing my browser 40.0.3 to start videos I did not want to play, I added an add-on to block Shockwave Flash; however, this became very cumbersome to enable and disable when i go to sites that required Flash like a greeting card site. I found another add-on called "Video without Flash", it told me to remove "shockwave Flash" I did, now I can not get any video on the greeting card site. Is the problem that I removed Shockwave Flash or something else, I have the latest Flash Player from Adobe.

I need some help.

With some (but not all) URL addresses picked from links briefly display but disappear when the page loads. (Example I was able to capture is: << http://www.eaa.org/en/eaa/eaa-news-and-aviation-news/2015-news/08-20-2015-tuskegee-next-teen-flies-with-young-eagles-chairman >> The address bar then goes back to "Search or enter address" (in italics.) There are several who suffer this problem (see forum "Urls are no longer visible in address bar") but no useful answers are given, only advice to "Start in safe mode", which doesn't fix the problem.

When I bring up (say) a magazine article in my browser and wish to print it for future reference, the print preview and printed image "lose" lines of text between pages when compared with the original image in the browser. The print preview that appears - whether displayed in portrait or landscape - loses one or two lines of text so the print version can wind up useless. Where does the missing text go? the pagination is not identical and Firefox seems unable to handle it.

I'm using an HP desk top with Intel i7 CPU 8GB of RAM and Win 7 Pro SP1. Firefox is V40.0.3

When visiting Google Inbox in two of my notebooks (the desktop works OK), I have a weird display issue that makes everything appear blank (see image).

If I open an email, and start scrolling down, then the fonts appear.

I have the latest Firefox version in all three of my PCs, I've tried clearing cache and cookies, entering private browsing mode, entering safe mode, but the error's still there.

Recently, I have had Firefox continually crash. I typically only have a few tabs open. I use Yahoo for my mail, which is typically open and facebook. The crash is not immediate, but after a few seconds.

I have tried to follow all the troubleshooting steps. I have started in safe mode. I have reinstalled. I have cleared all cache/cookies/history. I have set everything back to default.

Worse yet, I cannot even try to launch the Troubleshooting Information link or submit a question to mozilla support from Firefox as they both crash.

Therefore, I am using Chrome to submit this ticket.

Let me know if there is anything else you may need. I really, really want to get back to using Firefox.

bp-e0b3fd64-4196-4da9-ba62-3e1c72150903 Browser restauration or new installation of the browser didn´t bring any change. I scanned for viruses (Avast, SuperAntiSpayware, Malwarebytes and Stinger) with no viruses found.

It started 4 days ago that some websites like www.reuters.com didn´t load. Also downloading a file only generates files with 0 Bytes. If he loads a website, then the load sign runs permanently. Today the browser can´t start any more. He only generates crash reports. After he asked me to restore the last session, a new crash reports appear.

Come and IE work. However I hate them and want my Firefox back. Please any hints to resolve this

I spent a lot of time adding icons to the top of the page for easy access to frequently-visited websites (Doppler radar, local weather, Netflix, Amazon, etc.) but they've all disappeared. Clicking on "Show Bookmarks Toolbar" in Customize didn't help.

I just did a fresh install of Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate. Whenever I open up firefox, it opens two tabs, one for google and one that goes: https://search.yahoo.com/?type=953296&fr=spigot-yhp-ff

How do I remove or stop it from loading this Yahoo Spigot?

This is on an Asus G53SW with bluetooth i7 8 gigs ram 460m

After upgrading to Windows 10. Some of the Font are white with black outlines making it hard to read some pages. I refreshed and reinstalled firefox and it's still there. I disabled and removed all addons and it's still happening.

I am running the latest version of Firefox (40.0.3) with ad blocker plus as my only addon. However every time I attempt to open a new tab it take ages to open because Firefox is constantly searching for an update. This takes 2-3 minutes every time. Have tried refreshing Firefox, uninstalling and reinstalling without success. My system is Win 8.1 on a i7 Lenovo PC. All worked well until the latest FF upgrade. I have no problems with the same version installed on my laptop. Any help/suggestions would be much apprciated. Thanks.

Hebrew doesn't display in the Firefox search box or in the title of tabs. But when I type in the Firefox search box and hit enter, it performs the search and the writing displays correctly in the Google search box in the Google results page. Firefox is the latest version. Mac is OS X 10.6.8. I see that Microchip470 posted the exact same problem.

Firefox keep crashing. I tried "Safe mode" and uninstall/reinstall, but they don't work. I still get the crash window popup. I tried many many times, but it still crashes... PLEASE HELP!!! I've been using firefox for many years daily, never saw this problem before...

Asus tp300l laptop

touchscreen disabled (uninstalled). running windows 8.1. i am using chrome to type this.

this happens with both firefox, and then after i uninstalled that and tried waterfox it happened with waterfox as well. re-installed firefox, and same problem persists.

tried refreshing using the guide, only i couldnt do it within firefox because i couldnt type the adress of the page into firefox (it being over seven charachters)

Finally got the reinstall of firefox started in safe mode. problem still persists.

did the refresh using the safe mode dialogue. problem persists

couldn't access the crash data within firefox because again, over seven charachters in the adress bar.

used the guide to search for my crashes, then realised i didnt have any since i didnt have crash reporter turned on (duh!)

so by the expedient of simply booting firefox to google, then typing in "messagin" without quotes. and it crashes on the sevent letter. every. single. time.

Realised in hind sight that i could have navigated to here using google search not trying to cut/paste from chrome to the address bar, but i didnt think of that at the time

Am getting the pop-up message below - from Yahoo - that Yahoo tech says are a browser issue. I've submitted a query to the Yahoo forum and am now checking with my browser forum, here, for Firefox. Thank you enormously for all help!

God I wish I had an free alternative to yahoo mail.

I have received two notifications that the video player for Firefox needs to be updated. When I attempt to install the update, I get the message that it can't be done because Windows applications can't be run on a Mac. Is an update planned for Macs? Also, if an update is only for Windows, is there some way I can indicate that I don't need it, so I won't continue to receive messages?
