When I go on bj's site and click on the department I want and click on an item A pop up keeps saying this page is slowing down your browser click stop to get a better experience. I never had that problem before,how do I fix that?

The location is always on the Top Right corner of the display. I have all notifications and web push blocked in Firefox preferences. System is Mac, OS 12.1

Up until a coouple of days ago while working in Chrome when a Firefox notification popped up from chat websites in Firefox, I could click on the notification and be switched to the website in Firefox. Now all that happns is the Firefox icon in the taskbar blinks... I wonder if it's due to a recent windows update... The last couple of updates seem to have impacted capabilities on Youtube. Specifically, under notifications, when you click the 3 dot option menu, the menu decouples from the option menu and goes to the top of the screen. Not the worst thing in the world but is incredibly annoying when trying to clear/hide multiple items.

I'm using a MacBook Pro from 2010 (when they knew how to make things that lasted) with firefox version 115.22.0esr on macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (which is apparently the last version I can use as computing has vastly outraced my laptops capacity and we are expected to update everything to catch up with security glitches etc so tough sh*t if everything goes wrong. In my profile settings, "edit settings," I've checked the box "watch forum threads I start," and in "manage watch list" I've checked "questions."
I see I've received a response to a question I posted, but I've received no email. How do I ensure that I receive emails?
"Email me when someone answers the thread" on this page has also been selected.
Also, why are their two separate setting sections as noted above? And why am I only subscribed to the one question (under "manage watch list") I posted earlier today when I've been subscribed to my previous questions in the past? I checked my homepage settings and as far as i know i have not installed a USA today extension. How do I make this go away? I would straight up block the domain if I knew how.
I found it in privacy /security> notifications and eliminated the website. This may have fixed the issue? I do not recall ever allowing the site to give notifications in the first place. is there a way to lock this domain out completely?
