I know it may sound a bit strange, but I would like to know WHY an extension is not allowed in a private window, so I might understand the reason why I'm not able to diagnose an issue I'm having with fucking amazon who has their cart all over the place for a misconfiguration in firefox that either I did or an extension is causing, however I'm unable to figure out which because I can't enable extensions in private windows, where the issue does not happen, so I'm not able to reproduce and isolate the problem. Hi Just a quick one, I am using a VPN but everytime I open my browser I get bombarded with this dam acatcha and it takes ages to clear it, please there is bound to be away I can turn this off.......

I've been using Mozilla Firefox since ... well, before Firefox, I used Netscape, your great-great-grandfather.

I am not blind. I have some issues with visual objects on web pages like scroll bars when you can't effectively use them. They are too thin. Mozilla has had complaints about this since 2022.

Please Fix them. Otherwise I may have to migrate to Chrome or Edge and leave my Mozilla legacy behind for a differnent fork in browsers. It's a dealbreaker folks. People will leave this browser and probably are every day for one stupid reason. Scroll bars than are inaccessible without using something like windows magnifier when you need to scroll.\

Hey I've reinstalled my PC i installed Firefox. Login to Firefox Sync. And now it's empty. no tabs, no passwords, everything is gone. I usually do this every time and it work. I am sync my Android phone with all my passwords and bookmarks

It seems more and more websites refuse or deny FF as an acceptable browser. My bank, my electricity provider are just two examples.

Is this being addressed?

An unwanted bookmarks toolbar appears above the URL field, as shown in the image.

After all the bookmark shortcuts it contains are closed, and FF is restarted, the marks reappear.

How can they be purged permanently?

Hello, since the last firefox browser updates I cannot access anymore cyberfolks.pl, and it is really a problem because I have my working emails and the hosting of my company website of cyberfolks. Can you please fix this?

Whenever I try to access a webpage it shows up as no style and buttons and links are non functional. However if I use private browsing everything works, but all my history and extensions are not available.

I have used Firefox before, and I want to confirm that what i could do in the past is now no longer possible. In the screenshot, you see in the "Home" section, you are able to pick what shows for your home page and new windows. Then you see What you can choose to happen on new tabs. I have set it to pull Google's home page. You used to be able to set the new tabs to whatever you wanted as well. However, you no longer can. Is this the way it is intended to work? If so, this should be rethought. No one wants to set their browser to open a new web page whenever they want to look something up, much less just in general to get to their home page. I understand and know that you can add the home button to the toolbar, but that creates an extra step.

Now if this was intended to be this way, where may I express my dissatisfaction with this option?

Hello, Since the last update Firefox 128.0.3, I can't add bookmarklet. There is one bookmarklet I regularly use on my main profile, wanted to add it to another profile, but it's not adding there. If I try to drag & add, it shows the new bookmark add dialogue, but nothing is getting added. If I try manual add bookmark from bookmark manager, still nothing happens. The bookmarklet is working fine in the main profile btw.. but can't add it to another. Apologies if I haven't described this very well. After loading a page on Firefox, loading the next one and any further ones could just be typed over the previous one as many times as you needed. Not any more, if I try typing in a new address nothing happens and I have to cancel and load Firefox again. Never used to be like this, can anyone help please?

Today I realized that I have installed two (2) versions of Mozilla Firefox on my Laptop PC which I rarely use.

Both editions are 64-bit type but one is version 109.0.1 (11/04/2023) in

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox and the other is version 128.0.3 (28/07/2024) in C:\Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox.

I suppose it is illegal to have two versions of the same App., so the question is how can I delete the old version (109.0.1) without affecting or damaging the new version (128.0.3)?

You are still on the beta update channel as you can see in the "Help -> About Firefox" screenshots.

You can possibly check about:support for the path of the Firefox binary and profile folder..

Above you mention portable, are you using a portable Firefox version? To update, it's just a matter of extracting the executable and replacing the contents of the portable folder.

What differentiates the "portable"method, that I've been using as my method for years without an incident, up until recent recent Firefox releases? The only thing I do when there's an update is replace the contents of the install folder, the same folder that the profile manager is pointing to, with the contents of the extracted executable,

I just realized the existence of this folder in about:support "Update Folder: C:\ProgramData\Mozilla-1de4eec8-1241-4177-a864-e594e8d1fb38\updates\C47CD37E750B0BD0. I tried to delete it. It recreated itself, changed my settins to "Update Autoimatically" and wiped out my entire session.

The contents of it's update-config.json file are the following. Would changing these values to "false" do any good? Or perhaps altering the contents of updates.xml in the same folder

I do have a "Profile" folder at C:\Users\mr\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles. The two entries are from 2019. One is empty, ans these are the contents of the other

For a few days now whenever a new tab opens, either by clicking a link in search results or by clicking a link in an email, the cursor jumps to the bottom of the page and I have to scroll to the top of the page. I'm just getting started with Windows 11 on a new computer. What happened to cause this?

In Gmail, I repeatedly get "oops the system encountered a problem (#001)." Every other site works and Gmail works in other browsers. I haven't had any new add-ons or made any changes to Firefox (other than Firefox updates) in years. Does anyone know the fix?
