Reporting a bug:

"Firefox can’t update your languages right now. Check that you are connected to the internet or try again." but - Connection is established, INDEED!

German language pack not available :( manually downloaded verisons of german Language pack are incompatible.

please fix.

I am trying to set up a new computer. I have customized the homepage and new windows to a preferred page, however I cannot customize the new tab settings. The only options for a new tab are either Firefox homepage or blank page. I am trying to find a way to have my preferred homepage open when I open a new tab.

I have spent the last half hour searching with Google and on Muzila help – everywhere that I can possibly think of and every combination of words and every hit I get that supposedly is the instructions on how to recover sync by entering my account recovery key NEVER leads to a page where I can enter my account recovery key.

HELP!

Ever since upgrading to Windows 11, my Firefox installation has occasionally been unable to resolve domain names of some websites. Example domains:

• apps.powerapps.com
• static.cdninstagram.com
• google.com

As I was trying to debug this, I discovered that the DNS resolution and connection timings are just over 30 seconds (see the attached image). This is highly unusual.

• The issue does not occur with other web browsers on my computer (i.e., Microsoft Edge).
• The issue has persisted across reboots.
• I have already reinstalled Firefox (and wiped the temp files and appdata profile before installing again).
• The issue does not occur with other devices on my home network.
• DNS over HTTPS has been manually disabled.
• Changing DNS resolvers in my Windows settings does not fix the issue.
• The issue is still present with a fresh, unmodified installation of Firefox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I love Firefox and do not want to switch to a different browser.

Many web pages that have a video header will launch the video in a popup window after you scroll past the header.

There are no user controls in the popup window, and clicking 'block popups' and turning off 'enable p-n-p controls' had no effect on them.

Is there a a setting that will stop these video popups from automatically launching? They eat up a lot of memory, and are a pain to turn off manually.

The master password really needs a timeout setting unknown to me my computer was hacked I fell asleep with my Firefox browser open and they logged into my bank account the only reason I caught it was because I got a email stating I had logged in my bank account I was lucky I caught it fast and changed my bank password and removed the virus. Yes I know I should of logged off but I got side tracked and fell asleep. The timeout option on password managers are universal except for the Firefox password manager.

I AM SENDING TWO SCREENSHOTS IN ORDER FOR YOU TO SEE WHY I AM SAYING GOOD BYE TO FIREFOX OVER 4000 OF RESOURCES AS YOU CAN SEE AND FIREFOX HAD 4 TABS OPEN ALL OF THEN JUST OPENED UP SO THEY WERE NOT YET CONNECTED TO ANY WEBPAGE.

I CANNOT SPEND HOURS TRYING TO FIX THIS

I just received a toast from a sidebar app. Unsolicited notifications are the fastest way to get me to dump your app. I recommend Mozilla implement user-level control to disable notifications from sidebar apps. In theory, Mozilla is already supposed to be respecting my preferences on notifications. I have authorized notifications from only one website, and it wasn't the one for which I received this notification. There's a disconnect there.

I recently noticed a file named Newtab@mozilla.org.xpi on my system and wanted to confirm its purpose. My Firefox browser is working normally, and I have not observed any suspicious behavior, but I want to make sure this file is legitimate and part of Firefox’s features.

Could you please clarify if this file is a standard component of Firefox, especially related to the new tab page functionality?
