Addons use to show up at the top right hand part of the screen. I have checked solutions but haven't found one that fixes the addon problem. I would like to see how many sites have been blocked. I asked this question a little earlier today and one community member said to click on the >> at the left of the tool bar. I do not have any of those marks on my tool bar. Any other suggestions? Windows 10 Trying to change my default search engine from Google to DuckDuckGo When go to options/change default search engine only google, amazon.com, ebay and wikipedia are shown as options. Weird since I don't believe most of these are search engines. Added DuckDuckGo as an extension; tried Firefox in safe mode; refreshed Firefox Searched help topics. I'm stuck!

I want to see/manage some added extensions on Firefox on my PC (Windows 7), but after clicking the menu button and add-ons icon appears a blank tab (about:blank), so I not only can't select Extensions manager, bur can't see anything there. Failed also to open Extensions & Themes from Menu - Options (about:preferences). Please advise how to proceed. Thank you.

Hello, I am still running Win7. After this morning reboot, firefox did not start, messaging: "Der Prozedureinsprungspunkt "sql3lite_database_file_object" wurde in der DLL "nss3.dll" nicht gefunden. After that a message windows says: "Couldn't load" XPCOM. I tried to reinstall firefox downloading it with another browser, but the installation (I am now working with) seems to be somehow parallel, i.e. I don't have my profile and extensions, passwords, etc. And the look ist different.

My bookmarks toolbar no longer has any bookmarks. And per online support, the "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar" is not an option availalble to restore them. What I DO have when clicking on the bookmarking icon is 1. Bookmark this page. 2. Bookmarking tools > Remove bookmarks menu from toolbar > View bookmarks sidebar > Hide bookmarks toolbar 3. Search bookmarks But there is no "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar"

How do I restore my bookmarks? AND are all my associated Foxfire generated passwords at risk as a result of their disappearance?

Also, GHOSTERY suddenly appeared on Firefox. I did not install it.

I can manage my synced passwords that were synced through Google Chrome browser if I sign into my Google account on https://passwords.google.com/

Does Firefox have any website like that for managing synced passwords?

Just want to confirm if my expectations are correct. If I rearrange, delete, add, edit, etc, my Firefox bookmarks on one of the devices I use with the same account and choose Sync, will this make the bookmarks on all other devices the same?

Up until yesterday I was able to login to my cox e-mail using my bookmark, but now every time I try to login I get an error message that the URL was not found. Please help me.

Every once in a while it hangs and have to force shut down the computer it happens on watching videos or regular websites it hangs in a way that cant move the mouse or see any activity from the HDD led or do anything it s just frozen in there.

I got a newer powerful computer & want to move over my 2 valid FF Profiles to the new computer. I have valid Profiles, but each time near the end while loading, they crash or do not load? I am using Firefox 84.0.2 (64-bit)

I just installed it on a new laptop. It was working fine.

I then changed to the profile from my old laptop. It works fine but many images now have glitter; not all over, but as if the image creator has pained this on in odd areas. For example a winter scene has a landscape of a man climbing a mountain and the man is covered by glitter.

I can't work out why this has started happening or how to prevent it. It's intrusive and hurts my eyes.

Hello My firefox is slow. Moziila.org page loads about 10s, while other webbrowsers on the same windows account load Mozilla.org in less than 200 ms (50x faster). Other websites also works very slow. Of course I have tried: - Safe mode, - Restart Firefox, - Reinstall Firefox, - Use portable version of firefox which has separate profile to installed version of firefox. All above didn't speed up my firefox. On the same computer, logged to another account I have normal, fast working firefox. I don't want to change account or reinstall windows. What else can I do to find what is slowing my firefox

My computer has Ryzen 5600x processor and 8GB 3200 MHz Ram

When trying to login to several sites I receive various error messages. If I use Microsoft Edge browser on the same site I don't have the problem. I've tried turning off enhanced tracking but the error continues. I also tried using a private window.

Firefox will not open a local .htm file that is part of the help function of an app. The path is file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Nuance/Power%20PDF%2021/help/en_US/default.htm. I can navigate to the file and it will show up as follows:

When I click on the file "Default.htm" it will not open (just shows the back-and-forth blue dots on the tab). Curiously, when I click on the file immediately below it (editing_documents_in_wordperfect.htm) it opens fine.

Why is this? It works fine on Edge.

I've been familiar with how FF works on Win7 for years. I know how and where its profiles and configs are stored and have reinstalled FF and recovered settings from the previous profiles.

I'm new to Windows10 64, don't really like it but it's embedded in an Intel nuc box. I have trusted file cleaner apps I use to clean unwanted temp files (except important FF profiles which are whitelisted from cleaning). On Win 7 I know roughly what the cleaner will find and remove.

I cleaned Win10 64 with the latest FF update installed (I don't think it's the update) and found over 1000 temporary files. The file path is Users\username\Appdata\local\Mozilla Firefox\Profiles\profile number\ default-release\cache2\entries. They are all small files and not the main default or custom profile I'm used to seeing. But they keep growing in number!

I know Win10 has account and file security protection which gets in the way and wthout changing ownership of this temp folder and sub folders, there is no admin user access.

Can anybody help me understand what I'm seeing. Are these FF profiles in cache2 temporary and not being deleted on exit due to Win10 file protection, or some other reason?

Bulk web page Images Download via Tools > Page Info > Media > Select All > Save As - no longer works as it did in previous versions of Firefox. Now, when trying to download all images on a web page all at once via Tools > Page Info > Media > Select All > Save As - When clicking the Select All button a new window opens up but no images have been selected (highlighted in blue) so when Save As button is selected a new window opens asking which folder to save the images to and after selecting the folder nothing happens (no images are saved). This procedure for saving all images on a web page worked just fine in previous versions of Firefox, but now it no longer works. I don't know if this is a bug or coding error or if it has been done intentionally for some strange reason.

Hello. After W10 starts, firefox opens window and shows the message:

File not found Firefox cannot find the file /C:/Users/xxxxxx/control/control.vbs.

I tried to uninstall firefox, remove all folders, refresh browser. Nothing helps. What else can I do?

Before making a PC factory reset, I made a copy/backup of the Firefox profile I had. I have simply made a copy-paste of the folder.

Now I am hoping to apply it in a virtual machine, so I have 2 profiles, one on my host after reset, and the previous one on the VM which is before the reset.

So, in the VM I installed FF, and I copy-pasted the old profile inside the new FF profile folder..but just nothing happens.

At least I want it to read my bookmarks and extensions, but it is supposed to read or access it completely. What am I missing here ?
