For the last few days, Firefox is being removed from my computer overnight and i have to re-intall the browser the next morning. Sometimes it's still there the next day, and sometimes it's gone again the next day. What i causing this and how can i prevent it from being removed? Jenny

Firefox installation error on 2021 MacBook - Compressed data is corrupted or the split compressed file is missing.

The same thing happens when you download with Safari and Chrome browsers. I would like to know how to solve this. Thank you.

Hi, I have had many successful years using Firefox until 4 days ago. I uninstalled Firefox in order to remedy a recurring missing bookmarks issue.

  • I used the 'full' version to re-install - install proceeded to around 50% then crashed my system.
  • I uninstalled the remnants and tried to install using the 'stub' installer, it crashed immediately
  • I uninstalled all anti-virus software, this time the full installer ran all the way through but when I clicked on Launch Firefox, my system crashed again.
  • After each crash, the system restarted and remains stable, nothing else appears to be affected.
  • Basic diagnostics, returns no violations
  • Each crash returns - stop code: Critical_process_died (0xEF)
  • my Win 11 version 24H2 osb 26100.7462, FireFox version 146

any ideas ?

Download doen’t complete

When I download Firefox it asks to go to app store. Then says “now finish installing” but nothing happens

I just got a new desktop and I don't like Edge that comes with windows 11. Downloaded Firefox and tried to sign in to Firefox. Had to change my password and the download seems to have gone away. Do I need to download it again? I want to make Firefox my default browser.
