Since the last Firefox update, I have been experiencing issues with Yahoo Mail. I am using Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop, and my security is provided by Kaspersky, which I just recently updated as well. At first I thought the issue was related to the Kaspersky update, but apparently not since Yahoo Mail works just fine in Internet Explorer. I do not, however, want to use Internet Explorer; I much prefer Firefox.
The problem is that when I log in to my Yahoo Mail account, the drop down menus don't work, for instance, Settings, Account, and Sign-out. Moreover, if I want to reply to an email, I have to keep clicking on "Reply" and sometimes even click "R" on the keyboard before the dialogue box opens. The same thing happens when I want to Forward an email. What's more, when I try to delete emails or empty the Spam or Trash boxes, I cannot always accomplish this by checking emails and then clicking "Delete." Sometimes I instead have to resort to checking off messages and then using 'Delete" on the keyboard. Finally, when I get ready to sign-out of Yahoo Mail, I have to click on Home, go to the Yahoo homepage, and only then will the drop-down menu work so I can log-out. One thing I have noticed is that there are no longer ads on the right-hand side in Yahoo Mail. there is only the a blank box with the word "Ad" in red letters the upper right corner, so I wonder if this absence of ads is somehow related to the issues I am experiencing. I am not tech savvy, so I would greatly appreciate if someone could address this question, and if you know what's causing the problem, tell me how to resolve it but tell me in layman's terms. :-) Thank you.
