Firefox dont remember old tabs when restarting, opens new tabs

I had 20 tabs in firefox, firefox crashed and after that it cant remember tabs when restarted, it loads with the right amount of tabs but all of them are empty and named "new tab".

I have deleted sessionstore.js and .bak but it didnt change anything, when i close down firefox and opens sessionstore.js i can see it have stored the old tabs, just wont load them when starting up.

I dont care about the lost tabs, i just want the feature to work again, any ideas?

Since upgrade to FF 29.01 random existing tabs will open to pages days and weeks old even if those specific site-pages have been cleared from the history.

Forex, a ZDNet Six Clicks article continued to appear -- with its outmoded Page-back history -- two weeks after I had finished the article and had returned to the ZDNet Home page and loaded more current articles. I cleared the history of all Six Click articles and the tab **still* reloaded to the Six Click while wiping out the string of ZDNet articles I had been in the middle of reading insteading.

The same thing occurred with a series of Google searches I was using for my writing research over the last three days that was replaced with a Google Map pertinent to my niece's visit Thursday morning. My work has grounded to a halt because the Tab problem is eradicating all recent History in the Tab-path that I am accustomed to using for the past several years.

When trying to access a website, getting message: "The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided." I have been able to access the site without any problems until yesterday. There is no option allowing me to continue to the page, so I attempted to add an exception manually. However, when I try to do this on my "certificates" tab, I get a message telling me that this website already has a valid certificate. What's the problem? I am able to access the site on other computers, it is only on my laptop that this problem appears....

What's the difference between keep cookies until I close firefox and clear cookie history when firefox closes?

In the settings for Firefox 33.0 (I am using Ubuntu 14.04 but the functionality is the same for Windows 7) there are two different ways to delete cookies when firefox closes. Or at least there seems to be.

First is the keep cookies until firefox closes

Second is to check the box to clear history when firefox closes and in the settings check cookies.

What is the difference between these two options?

I usually have both setup but I was noticing that a login was not saving for td canada trust easyweb, even though I have an exception set for it. Now I unchecked to delete cookies when clearing the history on close and the login saves correctly.

This login saves 7 cookes under easyweb.td.com and 10 cookies under td.com and I have exceptions set for both. If I clear history on close and include cookies, half of the td.com cookies are gone when I close firefox and re-open. The same is true if I don't set the exception.

So currently I cannot figure out a way to keep all the cookies if I clear cookie history when firefox closes. What is the difference when this is enabled?

I have a problem with incredibar. I've deleted it but I'm not allowed to delete a web assistant by incredibar.

When I try to uninstall it through Programs and Features, it throws a message of Runtime error and I can find no way of deleting that Web Assistant. Please help!

The What's New/Committed to privacy page keeps opening. Windows 7 for the OS. Things I have tried:

Delete user.js and prefs.js. Didn't fix the issue. Set browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone to ignore both via about:config and directly editing prefs.js (one at a time, and both at the same time). Didn't fix the issue. It just overwrote that when FF opened the next time.

Set prefs.js to read only after changing the mstone setting. Same thing, it still opened even though the file was read only and said ignore.

This is not a home page issue. I don't have multiple home pages, the what's new page is not in my home page, I'm not saving open tabs, etc.

I had Google as the default search engine when I used the address bar to search, but Yahoo has hijacked this function and I can't reset Google as default.

Why can't I block google's cookies? Everytime I select their domain to be blocked, their cookies STILL show up when I check 'Show Cookies.' Not cool..

But every time I check the "Show Cookies" tab, google is STILL there in the cookie list even after I've done all this stuff. What must I do, what secret domain name must I type to ensure Google doesn't track me?

I'm already using DuckDuckGo as my sole search engine so there is NO reason why google should be able to attach cookies to me as I am NOT USING GOOGLE. Please help.

Bookmark backup partially corrupted. How to restore?

I just needed to restore my bookmarks and sadly, several bookmark folders are now empty. I didn't think twice and backup the current bookmarks (places.sqlite).

I have found that on the 9th and 10th of May, the bookmark backup didn't work. It resumed working one day later with a 1,7 MB file that contains the folders I'm looking for. Since May, 12th, my bookmark file shrunk to 1.3 MB, but claims a larger number of bookmark entries. Beginning with that date, the bookmarks I'm looking for are gone.

So, I'd like to know if there is

1) A way to combine two .json files to one. The combination of the backup of today and May, 11th would be perfect. But how??

or

2) A way to repair the obviously corrupt current backup that misses the bookmarks of entire folders?

Since the latest overhaul of Firefox (which is great overall) I'm having problems on both OSX and Win 8.1 with the handling of Google's multiple accounts authentication.

If I log out of one account (say, my work account) and then try to log into another (say, my personal account -- choosing it from the 'choose an account' screen) it then logs me into the work account no matter how many times I log out of the work account and try to log into a different account. It's like it's not clearing the previous session properly or something. This is with 29 and now 29.0.1.

On my mac I tried clearing cache, and deleting the cookies.sqlite all to no avail.

Thanks for any help. Other browsers are working fine.

Also, there was no solution has been given in discussion. So, problem that noone could delete all data which have been synced with new Firefox account services. I've disconnected all my devices from previous (old) firefox sync system (which worked perfectly on several devices), after that i gone on link https://account.services.mozilla.com/ and deleted all my sensitive data. After I've created firefox account in new firefox sync system ( https://accounts.firefox.com ), and all my data (bookmarks exactly) now present in browser twice.

Firefox is being updated by another instance

I updated to 29.0.1 and get this message. Trying to disable all extensions and restating OSX. No help.

How to log in to mozilla support to ask a question?

I have never had so much trouble registering to setup an account, (I apparently have finally succeeded), nor have I had so much trouble finding a place to pose a question… (மேலும் படிக்க)

I have never had so much trouble registering to setup an account, (I apparently have finally succeeded), nor have I had so much trouble finding a place to pose a question. Every time I attempt to log in to Mozilla Support I am asked for a password; that's good! I put in the SAME password I created to setup my Firefox Sync account; evidently that isn't good--it doesn't work!!! I ask to have a password reset sent to my email address, but I get NO RESPONSE--EVER after multiple attempts!!!. This is one of the most frustrating, aggravating, annoying sites, (and I am not really writing the true words I have been expressing to my computer, my wife and anyone else that might near by!!!).

So, since I apparently have finally logged in, (but I have no idea how I did it), can you please answer two questions for me: 1)How do I post either a reply, (since I can hardly ever log in), or post a new question? 2) Do you have any plans to make Mozilla Support like 99.99% of all the other sites on the web EASY FOR THE USERS to access???

Sign me: Frustrated!!
