Am not computer savvy, but know just enough to get by with performing most routine desktop usage tasks .. I am running Windows 8 on a Dell Inspiron 660 desktop which uses Intel's built in HD graphics 2500.

Up until Firefox update 82.0.2, I had no issues with Firefox whatsoever. Applying the update to 83.0 resulted in numerous error messages along the lines that my display driver had stopped responding (but successfully recovered).

While glancing through some of the event error logs, as best I recall having seen, at least one made a reference that Firefox could not access the graphics card (or something to that effect).

I then opted to perform a system restore and rolled back my system to where I was once again using Firefox update 82.0.2 successfully and without issues. FYI, I am using the last intel display driver available for my Dell, so updating my display driver isn't an option.

Unless and until others report a similar issue, guess I will continue using Firefox as updated to 82.0.2 and not downloading any further updates. Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi,

In the recent weeks, I am unable to use LinkedIn properly. After a short while of use, parts of the display disappear. When I click on a link, I am taken to a completely different place that I clicked on (seemingly What I see and where FireFox thinks I am are not aligned) and the issues keep adding up. I have ensured that FireFox is up to date. I have tried to refresh the screen. I have restarted it over and over again. Nothing has stopped this issue from reoccurring.

My Mac OS is up to date and I have no issues with LinkedIn on Safari or Chrome. But I do prefer FireFox and would hate to have to change my default browser because of this issue.

Any thoughts, suggestions and ideas are greatly welcomed.

Hello, we have web application installed in internal network. We are using it for many years and we are installing upgrades and security updates (It is not public application so I can't give you the name). It have possibility to generate certificate request and import signed certificate so we are doing this for many years, with success. We have local Certificate Authority and of course, root and intermediate certificates are imported in FF cert store. After last App and FF update I'm receiving Security Warning (screen shots uploaded). This appears in several FF versions. Same app is 'secure' in Chrome and IE (screen shot from Chrome). How can I solve this problem?

Problem One: 1Password extension not working for me. I installed Firefox and made it my primary browser. Extensions have been a disaster for me. First I tried adding the 1 Password extension. I did this because when I tried opening a page from 1 Password uninstalled on the browser, it didn't l as it should (has always done so with Safari). I had to open 1Password separately, and copy the information, which is tedious.

So I installed the 1Password Extension on Firefox. It didn't work unless I'd opened the desktop version of 1Password, it still didn't open and fill.

So I removed the extension. I then decided to give it another try. The extension shows up on Firefox. But now it has a little lock on the icon. The problem is that clicking on the icon doesn't open anything! I've rebooted the computer, and only reinstalled the 1Password extension. The same problem occurs, then, without clicking on the problematic icon, I reboot the computer again. It hasn't helped.

PROBLEM TWO: I'm having an additional problem with extensions. When I click on the extension for Pocket (for instance), the program opens, but fails to recognize that I have a paid subscription, asking me to upgrade. This is true for other sites I have subscriptions to, limiting me using the "free" version, which limits what I can open as well as what I can save.

It sounds unbelievable, but that's what's happened to me. I'm using enhanced tracking protection for all sites. Macbook Pro ; Catalina OS 10.15.7 (19H15) - most recent version Max OS

I appreciate any help you can give me. This is way over my head! I've tried everything I can think of, except for uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox.

I have tried to download several different versions: 32 and 62 bits with and without extension MSI and several different numbers like 82 ; 85 ... I never used a pasword so I don't have one. I noticed that without a password I can reconnect but will lose information like websites.

I have spent hours, literally, trying to fix this issue by following firefox community help guides yet nothing I've found has solved the problem. I can fully utilize youtube, with similar addons installed , on google chrome and microsoft edge without any problems yet firefox will allow only videos to be watched on youtube - nothing more. When I try to comment it says: Returned error , when click on the (save) button; nothing happens, when i click on my account icon a blank window opens with a circle spinning in the center endlessly - - the extent of functions is limited to, watching videos . I've manually installed Adobe flash, I've tried disabling the polymer function, I've tried the safe mode with my firewall disabled (I made sure that the microsoft firewall did not enable when I disabled Kaspersky), I went into about:config and did all the adjustments... there is quite a number of other things I did over the course of three hours. In the picture I have one picture showing my firewall/addons disabled with firefox in safemode while in the other picture the firewall/addons are enabled. System Information

unfortunately my english is not so good, my protection software comes from Bitdefender and it`s called Bitdefender Total Security. When I open Mozilla, I get always a little Bitdefender Window with a message the the protection system has blocked a malware site https://milkpload.net But if i run the security scan, nothings comes up.

Is it possible that this site is stored in the moziolla browser ? because the warning comes also up without any internet connection.

May be somebody has an idea because I am only an end user :-)

A few weeks ago, Firefox stopped working on my machine. When I tried to launch it I got an error message "Firefox has stopped working". I tried a reinstall and a clean reinstall but both installation procedures fail with the same error.

I'm running Windows 10 64-bit. I am installing with administrative permissions.

There are two files in AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports from the two days that I tried reinstalling. I'm not sure what to do with them.

  • InstallTime20201027185343 (from today)
  • InstallTime20201014125134 (from my last attempt, on 10/22)

A number of functions have gotten a lot worse with the update. One of them is the help function. A lot of the help sites describes the old Firefox version, and if I choose the most updated version, the help files still describes the old version.

And a remark: And its very annoying that we cant reach the company for issues like these. Instead they hide behind these forums, handled by other users who have to take all the heat from us disappointed users. Thats not user friendly. And how well protected are we when the company dont want to have a dialogue with us users?

Is this an FYI due to Firefox being too far ahead in the development curve? This isn't a mom and pop website.

For any item at acehardware.com, the add to cart tab (and the add to wishlist tab next to it) are unavailable. The page does not completely load, based on the "X" instead of the 'reload' icon. Other options like product overview do not load either.

I am reporting this because it does load and work in Safari (12.1.2).

Also it is impossible to search for this, as phrases don't seem to be acceptable, and how many hits for 'hardware' do you think there might be? Also, no hits for the one word acehardware.
