Just prior to updating to 50.02 I noticed I would open facebook, and it would crash then or if I opened up my messages in facebook. I have windows 7 computer, and until recently it was fine, now its crashing in firefox every time I open that up. I need help please.

The "Firefox default page" appears instead. I do not want the default page & I did not pick it. I have been using Firefox for years & never had this problem before. Please help.

over the past couple of weeks my late 2012 Macbook Pro Retina (13 inch) has crashed three times while browsing websites in Firefox. I then turn the computer back on in Safe Mode and then trash firefox and re-install it using Safari browser. Since the computer does not crash in Safe Mode I have checked my extensions and add ons and found a couple of days ago that my version of Java was out od date. I updated it but since then my computer has still crashed while browsing the web using Firefox. I have checked all of my extensions and they all seem to be up to date. I am wondering if this issue is due to an out of date graphics card as I have not update to Sierra and am stilling using Yosemite. I would appreciate any feedback on this issue. thanks.

Several months ago, Firefox stopped saving updated passwords. For instance, I have changed my Amazon password. Every time I go to Amazon it displays my old password (I can tell by the length), and after I manually enter the new password it asks if I want to update the saved password. I click yes but each time I go back it is still the same old password that is stored. This happens on many sites, not just Amazon.

This error message came up after just a few minutes of FF running. It had just crashed and I rebooted. I'm using XP SP3 and I know I have more tabs than I probably should have opened. Problem is as I work down the line getting rid of them S M is not updating. This time the session that restored was from months ago. I have been bookmarking so all is not lost. If I disable S M ( This Just In: The session/window data is corrupted: undefined(undefined) ). will sessionstore take over? The only problem I had with sessionstore was it only saved one back-up. Tired, I made the mistake of thinking the New Tab that pops up when FF starts was an error, having set FF to open all the previous tabs, I quickly shut it down to save my tabs. knowing no better I killed my only chance of restoring my tabs when I came to my senses and reopened FF to find out if there was anyway to restore my tabs. Ever since I have been looking for a better solution. But it seems that Session Manager is not it. SessionSaver worked, but it's not around anymore. I have a one terabyte drive so memory should not be a problem. So. If I disable Session Manager will sessionstore take over? Otherwise How can I get off this merry go round? Thanks

Ever since I did a FF refresh (what a mistake that was!) my computer is pretty foreign to me now. But, what I think is rather bothersome is when I try and add a bookmark from the bookmark icon at the top of the page, it does not work properly any longer now. Specifically, I used to be able to add a you tube music video to a specific location labeled new folder, instead of my usual bookmark menu folder that I use to normally add a bookmark. When I try and add a you tube video to my new folder bookmark, it will not appear in that location any longer. What in is going on now? If I would have thought doing a refresh was going to screw up my computer to the extent it has, I would have NEVER done so. FF presents the refresh operation as a good thing to solve FF problems. But it actually creates more problems than it solves. Can someone explain why I can no longer add a new bookmark to my new folder location, like I used to be able to do? Please help. Thank you.

Yesterday was fine and switched off. This morning took a long time to load, everything looked normal, Thunderbird works fine, then open Firefox, just the basic start page, all bookmarks, addons and history gone. The Profile is dated today and seems empty of data.
Did Firefox do an automatic update? and how can I get back all my data?

I think I have noticed before that these two Firefoxes were automatically synchronized now and then. But since I had to deal with a problem in the Admin account (continuously opening download windows) and reset Firefox there, the Hans- the user- Firefox differs from the Admin Firefox. That does not matter much in itself, but what if ever I change computer or something? Which version will be leading then, and decide on what kind of Firefox will be installed?

I am using a 10 year old XP SP3 system for some legacy things and running FF 50.x. very nicely.
Let's face it, XP's days are past numbered. However, sites like CNET, CNN, etc. will not play the main video content. I've tried many of the articles and attempted fixes on this forum and understand that time is running out.
Is there some program or plug-in that can buy me some extra time or is it just going to be hit or miss? BBC's site works fine. It all depends on the website that is streaming the video.
How can I tell what format the video content is being streamed in?
I thought that Firefox would bring built-in compatibility by translating these new video formats so older systems can play them. Am I incorrect?

I have run ever known form of antivirus scan, malware scan, spyware scan on a system (running windows vista on an HP computer) and FireFox still comes up with all blank pages and the home page will not load, (it comes up blank0 it also can not connect to the internet, I have tried all fixes on this web site with no luck.
I have completely scrubbed anything to do with FireFox off the hard drive and done a full new download of FireFox 50.0, then run a install, it still comes up with the same problem.
I can't post any trouble shooting info yet as I have removed the hard drive from that system and it is in the middle of a hard scrub of the drive, (using a second computer and scrubbing it as a "F" drive) looking for any hidden malware or spyware that may be hidden to the scans when the system is active.
Internet explorer, and Opera work fine, but want to use FF as my main browser, I will post any trouble shooting info when it scans are done if I still cant get to the internet.

After I've updated the Firefox browser to 50.0, I started having issues browsing multiple tabs. Whenever I have a tab that runs HTML5 (Youtube video or Twitch stream), and I'm on other tabs browsing, there is a high chance that my tabs crashes.
It doesn't happen in Safe mode, but even after I've manually disabled the few addons I have, it still crashes (I have no theme to my browser).
