Hi, I did a clean install from win10 to win11, then installed firefox and logged in to my account but it havent synced anything? All my saved passwords and bookmarks are gone!?

Can someone please help me get them back! Does anyone have a solution for this?

Read something about that a backup is saved on your computer? Isnt saved to a cloud? Thats what a thought! I have done a clean install on a new drive, old drive i already wiped aswell! Doesnt have a windows.old dir or anything.

Please tell me everything isnt lost!

I've been using Firefox home content shortcuts usefully on my Windows system. I installed Ubuntu on Vmware last night and synced Firefox account in it. After that, the home content shortcuts are all changed to the default status. I think it's because that I clicked the sync now button on Ubuntu. Is there a way to roll it back? Thanks.

Help me synch all passwords from Firefox on my MS Surface Pro to my new iphone 15promax. It was synching just fine with my iphone 13 but with new phone I am lost. I have selected the option to Sync passwords but it is not working.

I have Firefox on my Windows 11 desktop computer. As of today, I cannot see my Firefox on my Android smartphone. The problem started when I saw that my computer desktop Firefox would not automatically update. When I tried to update manually, I lost my ability to use my Android Firefox. Don't know what to do next.

According to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-set-firefox-sync-firefox-android, there should be a Sync and Save Date option in Firefox Android Menu, but it's nowehere to be found.

I am using the current version of fire fox and am using the same smail on both devices.

I tried using using the QR scanner from the dialogue box in the firefox keyboard, however that only brings up a "Did you use the system camera? You must pair from within the Firefox app." display.

The option is still missing from the menu.

My passwords do not sync from windows. I have verified they are both connected but my ios never has my desktop passwords. I have verified connected the setting is checked to copy passwords i have hit the sync shile sitting at my desktop but the passwords never are on my phone.

Hello! I synced my browsing data yesterday by signing in to firefox account and reset my OS(window 10) to improve my laptop's speed. When I am trying to get back my browsing data back after resetting and installing firefox by signing in to my firefox account and pressing the Sync Now button then its not giving me my browsing data back. Why is it so? Need Help. Thank You!!

My computer restated itself with an update. Now Firefox and all my bookmarks and saved log in info is gone. I normally can solve this by simply logging in and syncing from my phone. Firefox will not open a log in page from any of the icons on any Firefox page. I can log in using Chrome but of course sync from there is not possible. I can log in on my phone also. The problem is either my Mac settings or the Firefox settings on that computer. I have searched FAQ etc. No clear solutions can be found.

There are three problems, all related, that are frustrating me with Firefox on Android. I have a Samsung Galaxy 24+. I am trying to get Firefox to use a local HTML file that are my bookmarks, but I am stymied at every turn:

1) when I click on the local, Galaxy, HTML file, I get the standard "Open with" pop up, but they only list: Chrome, HTML View, Android's Internet browser, and Samsung Print Services. Why doesn't Firefox show up there? This is important to me. Is Firefox failing to register its browser properly in Galaxy products?

2) The next thing I try to do is to sync bookmarks so that I can use my hundreds of bookmarks (rather than adding them into Firefox one at a time). So, I click on the famous three vertical dots and there is no "Sync" function in that menu, see attached. So I cannot import my bookmarks from my PC's bookmarks.

3) Thirdly, I try to type into the URL field what Chrome uses to access local files, which is for example: "content://media/external/file/1000005061" but Firefox android does not recognize that. When I change it to "file://media/external/file/1000005061" that does not work either.

Currently, I use Firefox version: 116.0.2 on Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS.

I encountered a phenomenon like this:

• When I logged in to the application, in the tab I was working on, the Firefox session memory was lost (don't open new tabs)

What is the cause of this phenomenon? How can I fix it?

I'm really confused about how profiles and sync work together for what I assume is a pretty common use case, especially now will all the WFH. I have two devices:

1. Personal laptop 2. Work laptop

I'd like to keep my bookmarks, history, addons etc separate, but be able to access my work environment when working from home on my personal laptop. I've read a lot about profiles and sync and multi-account container but I'm still confused as to how I achieve what I'm trying to do.

Having multiple profiles on one device is straightforward. But AFAIK if I attach two profiles to the same sync account, and try to sync both between two devices, it will only sync one of the profiles (and then merge everything if I try to sync the other). And if I have two separate sync accounts (work and personal), each with a single profile, I can't switch between them without also merging everything. How does one achieve this then?

Sync is a nightmare. It is so unintuitive! What exactly would be wrong with having separate Export and Import buttons for each of Settings, Addons, Tabs, History, Bookmarks, etc? I have a desktop box and a newer laptop I wanted to get up to date. I pressed the Sync button on the desktop ... By the way, there`s a link below that reads "Connect another device" ... Connect where? Someone is designing these interfaces who has absolutely zero imagination. Anyways, I signed off, moved the ethernet cable to my laptop, signed in, pressed Sync, and voila!, I got my Bookmarks, at least. But I have no idea how to get my tabs and windows. I tried with a "download link" something or other, but it seemed to assume I was sync-ing to a phone, and didn`t work. Any way to get my tabs?

I am a game developer. I work about 12 hours a day, in Chrome. It is my main browser. When I installed firefox, I was asked to "import" cookies and such. I did. Which has been a terrible headache. All of the bookmarks and everything from Chrome came with it, which I already had in firefox, since I've had it for years. But, I thought since this is a brand new computer that I needed to do that. Fast-forward a couple of weeks and now EVERY time I open up firefox, all 10 million history links are in history.

I use firefox to unwind and watch movies. I don't want 10 million links to work in front of where I left off in binge watching Seinfeld.

I've tried everything and followed instructions and STILL, all history from Chrome shows up in firefox. It is infuriating. AND uninstalling and reinstalling did nothing. The setting is already in the account to import from Chrome to firefox. I've removed addons and extensions as well. Nothing has worked.
