Thunderbird has stopped sending my emails with BCC names. I can't figure out what is wrong. I have checked all settings, & nothing has been changed from when it WAS working.

I just updated last night to version 98.0 of Firefox, and have noticed that when I click on manage bookmarks that the boomarks now open at the bottom of the various bookmarks folders by default instead of opening at the top like they used to. What happened here? I am including a picture to show where the manage bookmarks section is going by default now instead of where it normally does. Can anyone help fix this?

Launch Firefox, manually check for latest update by going to settings > Help > About Firefox. However the manual update keep showing update failed. Other than Mozilla config file, can we use GPO to configure auto update for Firefox browser?

Lately I am getting a lot of spam emails. Is there a way to get rid of them permanently? Are there any free add=ons to install that will block them out? Please reply.

Since Firefox 98, whenever a file is downloaded or a page is captured (using add-on Page Saver WE) a display/pop-up appears in the top right-hand corner of the screen (or possibly under the 'Display Download Progress 'button'). Previously, this prompt/display/pop-up would disappear after a few seconds. Now it stays there until there is a mouse click anywhere on the screen (including outside the Firefox window). This is presumably a bug and it is also extremely irritating. Please change this back to the way it used to be (disappearing after a few seconds) or provide an option to specify how long the prompt/display/pop-up should be visible - like the 'new mail' prompt from Thunderbird. I know this has been asked and answered many times before but I just cannot add a gmail address, I have tried (I think) every suggestion under the sun but still I get Unable to log on to imap server Probably wrong config, user name or p/w. I have been trying for 4 hours now and really don't want to waste more time when the answer will be quite obvious. I added an address last week with no problems and the same with the other 4 on my machine. I have changed my p/w in gmail and seem to be using the correct outgoing and incoming details as advised and also the same set up as my other mail accounts. I have also checked the gmail advice but no help in this case. Is there any easy way out of my problem please

I was working on my work on a Google Doc, and when I tried changing the font, Firefox immediately crashed after clicking the font box. When I restarted, Japanese characters turned into boxes with codes in it. I have the Japanese language installed on my system and it works fine on my system. I also have the Japanese language installed on my browser. Other characters appear as the same thing, but I don't know for sure what they are other than Chinese and Korean. My cursor also changed to what looks like a hand pointing at something whenever I hover over something, however I am unable to provide a clear screenshot of that so I can only provide pictures of the messed up Japanese characters.

How would I fix this?

I see the thread was closed without a solutuion. The CIRCUMVENTION being 'fiddling' about with 'config'. Just to re-state.... Since Firefox 98, PDF files that are OPENED within Firefox are also automatically (and INCORRECTLY) downloaded. If the PDF file is subsequently requested to be downloaded (using the 'button' within the PDF display/window), Firefox will either: Prompt stating that the file already exists; or (if the user picks his/her own filename) a 2nd copy of the file will be downloaded. Sorry to be direct but THIS IS A BUG THAT NEEDS FIXING.

I recently installed a theme that I really like, but the search bar by default is a blinding white color and it contrasts heavily with the dark blue colors in the theme I picked.

Is there a way for me to edit the background color and text color of the search bar to be a different color? I've tried looking at different solutions and most of them make reference to userchrome or something else I have absolutely no idea how to work. Can someone explain to me, in the most simple and hard to get wrong terms as humanly possible, how to change the background and text color in the search bar? Is this something I edit the theme itself for? How do I do that?

when I input www,ebay.com in any other browser, I am brought to the correct version of eBay.

PC goes to sleep and app running is Firefox with webpage for Facebook the focus when it is awakened my system crashes. I have spoken to Microsoft and they have checked out my PC but cannot say that what they have done will resolve the issue as the machine wakes perfectly when the web page in focus is anything else. Do not know if it is a firefox or facebook problem but a problem it certainly is. One of you or both in combination causes windows to crash in these circumstances. As Microsoft has done its thing with reguard to windows and my PC and because it only seems to happen with a combination of firefox and facebook they don't think they have a problem but it is with their development team for further investigation. You now need to investigate. I have the report problems to firefox box checked so if you need anything further please get in touch.

I think someone tried to hack my account. I was stupid enough to order a product online and give all my info. Firefox locked me out. I can't log in. I changed my password but can't let Firefox know I did. I REALLY need to get back in to Firefox! I trust it and don't trust the other browsers!

My Firefox 78 browser is supposed to auto update when a new version comes out. I need Firefox 98 in order to use FreshBooks but for some reason the browser is not updating. So how can I fix the auto update?

I have used Firefox to access a site for an online bank, Synchrony. I was able to establish an account at this site and access my information. Now I sometimes can use the site but more often receive an error message, "Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://auth.synchronybank.com/account/login" on this server. When I spoke with someone in the Tech Support group for the bank she said the problem was with Firefox and not something they could address. I am able to get to my account using Microsoft Edge, as I have to to get to another site, Shockwave.com.

I much prefer using Firefox than switching browsers for certain sites. I would appreciate if someone at Mozilla investigate these anomalies and determine the appropriate fox within the app. I don't know what changes were made in Firefox when it was updated to my current version, 99.0 64-bit.

All of my RSS feeds (4) have stopped simultaneously with this version. Attempts to re-connect have failed.

TB insists on adding entries like "feeds.json-12.corrupt"; there 16 of them now. Deleting them does no good, they are restored.

What happened?

I'm assuming in some update over the past year, my settings were changed, then how I'd change my settings back was changed, and any obvious way to return my settings to normal was removed. Does anyone know how to get google back as my search engine? Going into preferences, then search, and then clicking the drop-down list for search engines, no longer works. The list now only gives an available option of "a browser", with no clear way of adding anything to the list. And any search on the topic only tells me how to change the default IF that drop-down list gives other options. I'm assuming I can add to the list, but it doesn't give any clear way of doing that from there. Like for example, I seem to recall that in the past it showed "add default browser" at the bottom of the drop down list, or somewhere readily visible like that. Searching extensions and add-ons gives me a dozen options that aren't just google search. Do you have any suggestions?
