How do I report errors in an beta release?

I signed up to V28 beta to help find errors etc. I am now finding a number of problems which may or may mot be caused by V20. I have wasted much of my evening trying to get into the system, eventually successfully. Problems I am having are: 1) constant logging in to gmail every time I go to a new page (e.g. going from inbox to spam). 2) being asked (when 1) does not apply) to select leave page or stay on the page. I appreciate that these could be a Google problem. 3) After logging into a site, being logged out again as soon as I try to do anything there 4) on the Mozilla site, trying to leave feedback, clicking on one of the two smiley/grumpy faces the message input window comes up and reverts back to the faces page in less than a second. All the above have been going on for a while, as has the gradual gobbling up of memory and shutdown lasting up to 10 minutes (to be investigated as they may be an add-on. A new problem is with FF just closing with no warning. Usually this has been accompanied with the send report window, and rerunning the program has come up with the restore option. However, lately the crash is not reported and restarting the program just brings up the home page. Fortunately I have Session Manager so I can recover some of my open tabs but with up to over 200 tabs coming and going it can be well out of date. That's it really. Do I go back to V27, or is there a way to get round these latest type of crashes?

Hello,

Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).

(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item:
FirefoxSafeMode

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
  • On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode" Safe Mode Fx 15 - Win

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.

To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
