does firefox have a"search and destroy " spybot
Keep getting pop-ups on my computer. Contacted one of the companies the pop-up talks about. They have confirmed its not them and told me it sounds like I have spyware in my computer. They have advised me to download "adaware" or "spybot" search and destroy program, to scan my computer with. I would like to know if Firefox has something I can download ...thank you very much

hello, first of all please update firefox to the latest version (which is firefox 20 at the moment, firefox 21 will be released in a few days) - you are using an outdated version affected by known security vulnerabilities which will put the integrity of your system and your personal data at risk!
if you're getting unwanted popups i'd also recommend to reset firefox and run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.
