you'll see that after the next boot, when a big standalone window with 'An update to your Adobe Flash Player is available" mid screen occurs subject you player is not the latest.
where is this hecking cookie or whatever stored - can't find it in the registry nor within Docs & Settings or elsewhere.
in my opinion a good role model for all spywarer and really disgraceful for such a big company.

Well first, this question never received any other replies (at least, as far as I can see, maybe their authors deleted them). The fact of the issue is that you are running a version of Firefox (and Flash) that is no longer supported, and you need to upgrade both to continue to get the best of the modern web, and remain secure. If you refuse to, you can't blame us for not being able to help you or the internet for not working like it should.

if I'd ask you, sitting in my Jaguar E-Type from 1963, how to avoid speed cameras you'd probably tell me to update to a contemporary car brand first prior you may contemplate the question as such.
it's not my problem that your forum slots all general questions like this one into the platform they'd been asked from. that's why nobody will find them!
and please don't tell professionals what's secure if you'd only been told or paid to do so. at least show some knowledge about Adobe as a known continous security risk.

Yes, Flash is known to be insecure constantly, but running Flash 10 when the current version is Flash 11.7 and Flash 10 has hasn't received an update in years is unwise. The same is running Firefox 3.6 when it hasn't received an update in well over a year. If you are running software that is out of date, it's best to update to the most recent and most secure version, instead of continuing to use ancient versions. 1 (unknown) security hole is better than 200 know and publicly exploited (and that's about how many you probably have on your computer. Plus performance and modern web standards aren't supported in your ancient versions.
Your car analogy is a strawman and not relevant to this discussion.
The better question is why don't you want to update and resolve this issue and others in one simple step?
Flash 10.3 still gets updates (10.3.183.75; Apr 12th).

He's not running Flash 10.3, he is running Flash 10.0 ("Shockwave Flash 10.0 r32")
To change how Flash deals with updates, go to the Windows Control Panel and open the Flash Player widget there.

In our company FF 3.6.4 portable is running. with MSE for inbound and Comodo for outbound control, automatic updates.
very important filter [network.http.redirection-limit] is set to 2 which brings nasty deviators to our attention first for us to decide whether we want go follow.
additional plugins like no-script, flashblocker, leechblocker and ABP. also money transaction mobile TAN based only.
youtube works with the alternative flash 10.x like most websites. those who want to force an update are either not worth it or can be seen on other sites or if really important with Adobe's standalone player.
customer data will be kept on our server and never transferred into third parties clouds just for our convinience or time saving. It's also a violation against of the Data Protection Act.
I am very sure any professional will agree that we know exactly what we are doing despite "ancients" FF vehicle we may ride.
the aim of my question was to find out where Adobe (not third party) disguises in our system like a thief first until reboot. if you can't answer say it. but don't slot and teach people ignoring a bigger picture behind AND stop manipulating threads .

1 disable the Adobe auto-update in the control-panel thus "falling behind" the latest version number on purpose.
2 wait until Adobe comes up with a new version and access any flash site
3 click the opposite mouse button where you may change the Adobe flash settings camera and microphone access. do nothing just exit FF.
you will not find any chzange or new Adobe registry entry or a file on the hard disk.
4 shutdown and reboot
Adobe pops up prior any setup with its big warning window stating "Install" "Remind me later".
and this hiding deep deep in the system is a malware behaviour. and that was the question all about.
