Websites have ads that say "ads not by this site". Occurred right after update!
I just recently updated my Firefox and right after I did that I had Facebook, Wikipedia, and some other sites feature ads that say "Ads not by this site" written under them! How do I remove those? Help!

Any adverts you see will not be from or because of a Firefox update.
Have you got ask.com software installed, could that be part of the problem ?
- see also uninstalling toolbars
- and if necessary cannot uninstall an add-on
Consider installing some sort of ad blocker https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=ad+blocker&appver=11.0
I have had this same problem with all the browsers I use except Opera. And the only browser that has allowed me to delete it with ease has been Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer allow you to go into the Security option and paste the name of the website into the area so that the site can be blocked. My question is does FireFox allow the same option? Or is there at least something similar or an action that will allow the same results? Please and Thank you.
Ok, it took me 3 days to find the solution but I think I have it. Hope it helps!
