hi i asked this question beforebut failed to copy response. i cannot attach desk top documents to my emails it will not open them any thoughts please.

The first thing I would do is make sure that all of your plugins are up to date:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
Many email providers use a flash interface to attach documents. If that doesn't work, you could try starting Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. There could be a plugin/add-on that is interfering. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide and the Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems article as well.
You could also try Creating a new profile.

Hi many thanks solution was a little more complicated and with help corrupted file was replaced. Your thoughts were appreciated.
