I love Firefox, but recently it has been crashing multiple times per day (sometimes 20 or more). I've checked the web help, and can't resolve. Please help.
I have Windows 7 and Firefox 7.0.1, and those two combined have caused a crashing epidemic. I do not have many add-ons installed, and the ones I do have are all updated. I also did not see the crashing coincide with a recent download or install. I've checked all the online help, and nothing has provided resolution. If someone could assist that would be great. I do not want to be forced in to using another browser.

Hey jordanjkasper,
Id suggest these 3 articles.
Common questions after upgrading from Firefox 3.6 and Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode and make sure all your plugins are up to date.
Here are the crash report links. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks for your help!

How about providing clickable hyperlinks as I requested, and loading those crash reports so that the helpers here don't have to wait up to 3 minutes for each one to load the first time each one is recalled from the collection servers to the crash reports server that we can access.
I clicked on several and got the report you'll find when you click on this one...

Thanks for your help!
- Try this.
- Type in the address bar about:config.
- Accept the warning.
- In the page that appears, in the Filter box, type network.http.max-connections.
- Change the value to 32 (which is probably set to 256 in your case).
- Close the about:config page.
- Restart the browser.
Changed the value to 32... So far so good. Thanks
ICF.dll looks to be the cause of that crash.

That file looks to be part of McAfee Family Protection. See McAfee support for help with that problem. Of just turn that program off and see if the crashes don't happen.
Just had another crash. It seems to be consistent with my interaction with ESPN's website. I don't think it's McAfee, because I don't see any McAfee apps on my computer.
The Winsock LSP section in the crash report clearly shows that you have McAfee (MSAFD) software running.
Internet Content Filter over [MSAFD Tcpip [TCP/IP]] : 2 : 1 : C:\Windows\System32\icf.dll Internet Content Filter over [MSAFD Tcpip [UDP/IP]] : 2 : 2 : Internet Content Filter over [RSVP TCP Service Provider] : 2 : 1 : C:\Windows\System32\icf.dll
I appreciate the help, but is there a way to escalate this? I've worked with my IT support at my company and they assured me that McAfee was never installed on my PC. I also did a search of all programs and could not find it. Could this be related to something else? Even if it would be related to McAfee or similar software (which is common) Firefox should not be crashing this frequently because of it. How do I escalate?
Did you send a link from that crash report to the IT department?
