its not a home page..when i type something into the navgation bar without a full web address it used to automatically search through google for the closest thing. it now gets diverted through talk talk search, and is rubbish. why has talk talk infected my searchs?

I'm not sure if this will work, but I suggest you give it a try.

Open a new tab, go to a page called "about:config" (without the parentheses). Click "I'll be careful" or whatever message that pops up, and you'll see a whole bunch of table-like stuff. On top of the table, on the "Filter" field, type in keyword.url, and the table should reduce to just one result. Right click on the result, and choose "reset". Try a search and see if it works.

It is also possible that your ISP is redirecting you.
