Every content blocker needs access to your content to be able to block it. I don't think you should worry about it.

Hi David

I recommend that you use a content blocker add-on such as uBlock Origin and possibly think about a .gif block such as https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/gif-blocker/ which shojld block other animations from playing.
